Starting point of a great hike along the edge of the Gravina / gorge. Quiet, near the house of the bird protection association OASI LIPU.
Ausgangspunkt mit Parkplatz. Ruhig, gleichmäßig, sonnig. Wahrscheinlich mehr Leute am Wochenende und während der Saison. Aussichtspunkte und wundervolle Wanderung entlang des Canyons. Parkplatz am Feldweg und einer Y-Verzweigung. Verwandte einer Tanzwanderung der Kante der Gravina / Schlucht. Ruhig, in der Nähe des Hauses des Vogelschutzbundes OASI LIPU.
Sentiero con parcheggio. Silenzioso, uniforme, soleggiato. Probabilmente più persone nei fine settimana e durante la stagione. Punti panoramici e splendida escursione lungo il bordo del canyon. Parcheggio su strada sterrata in corrispondenza di un incrocio a Y. Punto di partenza di una grande escursione lungo il bordo della Gravina / Gola. Tranquillo, vicino alla casa dell'associazione per la protezione degli uccelli OASI LIPU.

5 étoiles pour ce parking jour nuit sans services. au calme dans un décor de nature. idéal pour des randos pédestre ou vélo & VTT. ville a proximité pour les courses alimentaires. sommes restés trois jours merci a la commune même si les services sont abandonnés.

Ein großer kostenloser Stellplatz ohne Dienstleistungen. Man kann nicht immer alles umsonst haben! Guter Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern. Zu Fuß in die Stadt ca 20 Minuten. Zwei friedliche Hunde sind am Parkplatz. Wir hatten ruhige Nächte.
L’ennesima area sosta che troviamo in queste zone che potrebbe essere bellissima ma che è lasciata andare e dove non funziona nulla. Un vero peccato! Il luogo è spazioso e verde ma tutti i servizi sono ‘fuori servizio’. Abbiamo comunque dormito tranquilli.
Positiv: Viel Platz, Besucherzentrum geöffnet, Müllabfuhr jeden Tag, tolle Wanderung entlang der Schlucht. Negativ: Die Platz Hunde jagen den eigenen Hund, lautes Gebell die ganze Nacht, Abflüsse verstopft und außer Betrieb. Wir standen trotzdem 2 Nächte.
Nice place. The dogs 'guarding' the area are friendly. Unfortunately the electricity and water hookups aren't working, but if your camper is self-sufficient you'll be fine. Hiking path starts about 100 meters from there
Good place to sleep for one night. No services available but it is free. There is one local dog runing around but it's very kind and scared.
Es könnte hier wirklich sehr schön sein, große Stellplätze, Wasser- und Stromsäulen verteilt über den Platz. Aber leider funktioniert gar nichts. Schwarzwasser verstopft. Wasser abgestellt. So schade!
Nous y sommes restés le temps de la rando dans le canyon. Très grand parking avec emplacements en dur. Proche de la ville. Les services ne fonctionnent pas. Vraiment dommage que ce soit à l'abandon.
Das hier ist ein super Platz, schade dass es nicht verwaltet wird! Man kann hier toll wandern/ Fahrrad fahren und auch der Ort ist sehenswert. Es gibt zwei „Platzhunden“ die sehr lieb sind….wir waren zwei Nächte hier und wir empfehlen diese Platz weiter :-)
Super parking qui pourrait être une agréable aire car tout est là (électricité lampadaire eau vidange wc bordure pour les emplacements) Quel dommage, je souhaite vraiment que qq1 la reprenne ?

We were quite surprised by how lovely this spot was. The water and electricity did not work but there was so much space and the area is great if you love nature and hiking.
Très bien pour une nuit en autonomie. Bon dallage, calme, grand. nous étions 4 CC sans aucune gêne. les carabinieri sont passés sans rien dire.
Lo spot è un'area camper dismessa. Ombreggiato e tranquillo, vicino ad una strada principale, la pineta garantisce privacy. Al mattino passano auto e runner sulla strada davanti, ma nessun disturbo. Ci sono molti fazzoletti per terra in alcuni angoli del posto: per favore manteniamolo pulito.
Great safe and quiet place to stay overnight. Near is amazing view point and hike. The grass is somewhere little bit overgrown and the electricity and water for campers is not working. But with van or car is perfect.
Entrance is from the main road (maps takes you down the gravel road). The grass is now a little overgrown but you can find some clear spots. Nice and flat but all services have been abandoned and no longer work. Few dogs that will come and say hello and seem friendly.
Des arbres donc possibilité d’avoir de l’ombre ! Facile d’accès, nuit calme malgré le nombre de chiens qu’on entend la journée. Le sentier se trouve juste à côté. Mais effectivement 30-40min de marche suffisent pour voir le tout
Zone facilement accessible, à notre passage herbes hautes à certains endroits. Vue limite sur les falaises en bas du parking. Quelques déchets ! Nuit agitée à cause des aboiements de chiens à proximité.
Super, ruhiger Platz. Guter Untergrund und die Einfahrt ist kein Problem. (Mein Womo 3.50 und man kommt gut unter den Bäumen durch!).
Il semblerait que cette emplacement soit plus une ancienne aire de stationnement pour camper qu’une aire en nature. Il y a encore les arrivées électriques et eau mais elles ne fonctionnent plus. L’endroit n’en reste pas moins agréable, plat et zone de départ pour randonnées
Emplacement grand et facile d’accès. Cependant proche de la route (un peu de passage en début de soirée mais quasiment pas la nuit). Un chien est venu nous voir mais il était sympathique et bien dressé. Le voisinage n’est pas hostile aux voyageurs. Départ d’une randonnée qui vaut le coup ne serait-ce que pour les 30-40 premières minutes.
Spot « nature » très sympa, nous y avons passé une nuit au calme.

Spent 2 peaceful nights here, the place is nice, green and spacious but the entry is quite narrow for larger vehicule, but still manageable. On week-ends, it can be busy because it is the starting point of a hike.

Spend a quiet night here with 3 other campers. A few street dogs came by to say hi and were super cute. No problems with locals or the police.

Idealer Parkplatz für eine Nacht. Direkt beim Canyon, wo man schöne Spaziegänge machen kann. Einfahrt kann für höhere Fahrzeuge, ab ca. 3.30m schwierig werden.
Un très joli spot, top pour la randonnée de la Gravina Di laterza, plat, sol pavé herbe, ombre possible et au calme. Aucun service malgré les bornes présentes, tout semble un peu abandonné... Concert de chiens la nuit, et de coqs le matin.
This is a former camperstop. The facilities don't work but it's a beautiful and quiet spot with great hiking opportunities in the canyon. It's next to a visitor centre where you can find some information about the hike. When we were there the grass was mowed recently. Google directs you to the gravel road but the entrance is along the main road.
Très bon emplacement, plutôt calme malgré les quelques voitures qui passent sur la route. Pas d'eau aux bornes cependant, pas testé l'électricité, et pas de WC. Possibilité d'aller visiter le ravin à qq mètres !

Ein ehemaliger Wohnmobilstellplatz. Die Infrastruktur (Wasser, Entsorgung, Strom) funktioniert nicht. Aber man steht gut und ruhig.

Great free stop for 1 night before visiting Matera. Large grassy field with plenty of space and shade, suitable for all sizes. Walk the the canyon is nice and not far. Asked a local if we could stay and he said it was totally fine. Entrance is a gap in the fence off the main road, not the gravel side road.
Prima overnachtingsplek vlakbij de kloof waar je langs kunt wandelen. We hadden wel last van een net iets te opdringerige straathond en ‘s nachts veel geblaf. Houd ook je coördinaten in de gaten, Google stuurde ons eerst naar een andere plek.
Spent 2 nights here! 1 alone, 1 with another camper. Pretty peaceful, few dog walkers passing through what seems to be an abandoned campsite as said in prev comm. Is all surrounded by trees so there is some shade depending on the side you are parking on.
This is a campsite, big grass, not cared for, we used the nice ground to stay for a night, superb ! Acces with 7m alcove caravan no problem. This was in 4th of May 2022.

Bel posto per passare una notte e visitare la bella gravina di Laterza, oasi Lipu. Abbiamo parcheggiato davanti all'accesso dei sentieri (3 posti auto/camper) ma si può sostare anche lungo la strada davanti al centro visite o all'inizio c'è un grande spiazzo sterrato
A seemingly abandoned camper Park. Looks like a meadow but there's cobbles underneath so no problem in rain. Great walking with amazing views. Access via sp16 and sp 15 for any vehicle. Through town is narrow, twisty, and a bridge with 2 tonne limit. Facilities don't work but an idyllic spot.
There is a fence all around but is broken so a regular car or a van can get in, but probably not wide enough for a motorhome. We didn't have any problems but looks like someone didn't want people to come in. Looks like an abandoned parking place for motorhomes.
Cet emplacement n'existe plus, des barrières sont à l'entrée. Le parking un peu avant fera l'affaire mais seulement si vous arrivez tard et repartez tôt.
