Stayed for one night after visiting the amazing RMC Retro in Chalford. the pub was popular and the staff welcoming. There's a nice walk into Chalford along the old canal.
Vraiment accueillant et la nourriture était vraiment bonne, un peu juste à l'entrée du parking.
Really welcoming and the food was really good, a bit tight at the parking lot entrance.
Wirklich einladend und das Essen war wirklich gut, etwas eng an der Parkplatzeinfahrt.

ReggieRenault03/04/2024Lovely spot, level and gravel so no bog worry! Fantastic walk down the river and the landlords were friendly - even got a takeaway pint when we arrived late and they had already closed! Would stay again
vintageflyer17/03/2024Very quiet nights sleep. Very friendly pub with excellent food. Shower and toilet OK if desperate. Mouldy smelling. £10 a night pp irrespective of whether you eat in pub.

What a lovely stopover and a great find! Welcoming staff. Wi-Fi, shower cubicle, toilet facilities, fantastic pub grub, and - the landlady even offers a separate off licence to take booze back to your van if you don’t want to pay the heftier inflated pub prices! No rush to get off in the morning. Surrounded by some great countryside walks down the disused canal. Would highly recommend.

Shame i have to limit this to 400 characters. As other reviews said, it's now called The Daneway and is £10pppn. it is the car park to the front of the pub, but, there is a toilet and shower for use and the way we see it is it's only the same as paying for hardstanding on any campsite, just conveniently located near to check in. We will happily stay here again if we are ever in the area.

due to motorhomes and campers just rocking up and using the facilities without even going in a using the pub for food and drink there is now a £10pppn charge for staying on the car park regardless whether you use the pub or not now

Daneway Inn. What a lovely location. Walks along the old canal and river. Gorgeous pub with very welcoming owners. Great beer and food. Highly recommend a visit. We stayed one night. Plenty of room in the carpark for our big van. Will be coming again.

Rang and now open again ,great mine hosts even though chef had let them down allowed us to stay and offered to cook themselves good fish and chips and couple of pints gratefully received ,will be back again , ring in advance

Stopped over en route to Cornwall. Fantastic location. Free to park if you eat. Amazing food and hospitality. Extremely peaceful night stay. Narrow roads for anything too big. OK for us in our VW camper. Will definitely return in the future.
Juanmavan20/08/2022Perfect place. The pubs food and drinks were fantastic, very nice staff. You have toilets and showers only for the campervaners, if you have a meal at the pub. Super clean. Quiet and flat.

We stayed here for 1 night August 2022, had an excellent meal and peaceful night. Friendly, helpful staff and owners, very laidback and accommodating. Reasonably priced meal and free stay, would recommend.

What a wonderful find this was!! Fantastic food and drink in a beautiful country pub. It's run by a lovely family and allows campers to stop over if you eat in the pub... Super clean facilities. Faultless. ❤️

Ruhiger Stellplatz am Pub, nette Pubbetreiber, sehr gutes Essen. Einer unser schönsten Stellplätze. Es gibt ein paar gute kleine Wanderwege drum herum. Wir konnten die Dusche im kleinen Extrahaus kostenfrei nutzen. Super Service!

Called ahead and checked it was ok to stay overnight in the car park in our T5 camper and all good! Very welcome landlord and landlady with amazing food. Super quiet over night and beautiful walks along the disused canal in the morning.

The Daneway Pub are so so friendly, fantastic hosts in the most beautiful location. We had a gorgeous walk along the canal on our literal doorstep. Beautiful view of the forest and old canal with tawny owls calling all night, birds and deer foraging from the early hours. No road noise whatsoever over night. To top it all off the food in the pub was fantastic. Free if you eat.
