Great stop for us. We arrived late and Cafe was shut. Couple of lorries parked and us. We didn't hear any road noise at all overnight which was surprising. the whole layby has clearly just been related so flat and level. We woke in the morning to the Cafe open, which was reasonably priced and very welcoming. They have a portaloo that customers can use or pay 50p to use only when Cafe is open.
Not bad for a lay-by! Hardly any traffic last night, amazing sleep. Just me and one other van last night but room for loads. Felt safe as well back from the road. Lots of pot holes but good for getting your head down for a few hours on a long journey. Appears to be a food place too but shut when I was here though it was late Saturday night.
