Parked in large carpark next to Fish n Chip/amusement arcade. £2.05 ph until 6pm then £2.00 from 6pm-8am. Central on promenade. Crazy golf to the left. Very quiet parkup. Excellent view out to sea. Sloping but not too bad. Free toilets 200yds otherside of crazy golf or more to the right. It is what it is. we felt safe and slept well.
Stayed 1 very peaceful night. Was a better option than Sandown as there was much less traffic here, and we could place our van's sliding door facing the sea. To be considerate, though, try to avoid parking directly in front of the hotels so as not to block their guests' view. There were toilets on the arcade. Also toilets at the lift, but the card payment wasn't working, and we didn't have coins.
Ah awesome find, right on the seafront, paid toilets in the middle, free toilets one end. Showers at both. Fairly loud till the bars shut at 11 but then a peaceful night. £2 from 6pm-10am
Not free in winter anymore. But free toilets at the Hope hill end of the road and there is a paid shower in the middle off the esplanade near the Lift.
Managed to get a spot on the front, £1 for the night. A little noisey with arcades and pubs but all died down after 11pm. It was a bank holiday Friday in august when I stayed and I’d stay again. Perfect for a morning sea swim too. Are public loos at either end too, close around 9pm and open by 8am. Ones at east side of beach are much nicer though!
