Partie de l'essai Forestry and Land Scotland Stay the Night 2022.

Part of the Forestry and Land Scotland Stay the Night trial 2022.
Nice carpark & viewpoint with picnic tables, little beaches and woodland walks. Amazing views over Loch Eck and not far from the Whistlefield Inn. Good 4g & was quiet enough sheltered from the road. No signs up banning parking but it's in the permit area for the national park in the summer months.

Teil des Forestry and Land Scotland Stay the Night Trials 2022.

Here just now, spot is amazing but no longer free with a £7 overnight charge at the moment.

Insane stop over! 2 other vans. So peaceful nearly enough right on the water

Absolutely lovely, scenic little spot - peaceful overnight stay with just one other van. Part of Forestry Scotland's "Stay the Night" initiative. 5 minute walk down the forest track to the Whistlefield Inn which we had a few beers at. Fishing on Loch Eck (can buy a permit at the Angling shop in Dunoon). No swimming allowed at the lake because of blue-green algae but didn't spoil our visit at all.

Really lovely spot we went kayaking and had the whole place to ourselves very quiet BUT charged £7.40 to stay and only one night permitted using app

Part of stay the night scheme - for 2 campers - even though there is room for more - we should respect the scheme to ensure it is extended. - there are plenty of other spots about if needed - really nice spot

the way it's going, it'll be no use to anyone soon.

Stayed the one night, very little traffic noise as it’s a little way away from the main road. Free of charge, however does have a notice saying there may be a charge in the season. Great spot!

Beautiful place to stay. Amazing views of the loch and secluded from the road. There was only us and one other van so plenty of space :) A great find after a long drive!

Lovely spot, beautiful views, no real facilities but the views make up for it.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot, room for 4 motorhomes, a picknic bench with a steel plate for barbeques and tracks leading down to the loch.

Beautiful stop. Small beaches through trees. stunning view.

Great spot currently in the Stay the Night scheme run by Forestry and Land Scotland. Choice of beaches, nice level car park, picnic bench and excellent 4G. There were 4 campervans the night we stayed and plenty of room between everyone. Peaceful with little road noise and close to Whistlefield Inn with excellent food and drink.

Lovely woodland spot by the loch with good tree cover. Popular in daytime for water sports so bit busier with cars. A few different beaches so people can spread out a little. Didn’t stay overnight but set back a little from road so should be quiet

Great little spot tucked away from the road. shows Forestry 'stay a night' can't remember if this was 24 or 48 hours. we enjoyed our night here, with bluebell woods and close walk to hotel if you want to have a pint, and beautiful loch and peak views from the small coves.

Great spot, busy with overnight campers but very quiet. plenty room to get in but I would leave until late afternoon.

Great spot, so quiet and peaceful. Excellent for photography and a wild swim in Lock Eck.
