Ce site est proche de deux parkings payants (parking avec vue sur le bain à remous) mais il est gratuit et pour autant que je sache, il n'y a pas de restrictions ou de frais. La dernière fois que j'ai campé ici, c'était l'été dernier, mais je ne pense pas que rien ait changé depuis.
This site is close to two paid parking lots (whirlpool view parking) but it is free and as far as I know there are no restrictions or fees. The last time I camped here was last summer, but I don't think anything has changed since then.
Diese Seite befindet sich in der Nähe von zwei kostenpflichtigen Parkplätzen (Parkplatz mit Blick auf den Whirlpool), ist jedoch kostenlos und meines Wissens gibt es keine Einschränkungen oder Gebühren. Das letzte Mal, dass ich hier campierte, war im letzten Sommer, aber ich glaube, seitdem hat sich nichts geändert.

Great spot for a night. Road noise stopped by 9pm and didn't start again until around 7am. Plenty of space and more level at the "bottom" end. There is also a bin here. Kings Head pub does great food just 2 mins walk. We went up Helvellyn first thing in the morning which was brilliant.
Excellent views but as others have said road noise. We will stay here again. We did a litter pick before we left in payment for camping. A full rubbish bag! Bin here. We arrived late and no issues.
No internet and a fair bit of toad noise, but, you wake up to stunning views. The Kings Head pub 5 minutes walk away, take a torch.
Great for overnight and free. It's a side of the road, can be noisy during the day. Low internet signal.
Perfect spot for views of Helvellyn. Get there early to bag a spot in peak season. No Wi-Fi. Pub 5 mins walk along the road for loos but for customers only. Lots of local walks near by, mainly along thirlmere. Traffic noise but quiet between 10pm-6am.
Was a good spot for the night though the A590 is a very busy road with fast cars and heavy vehicles! Was ok with earplugs but traffic starts up again from 5:30AM. Nice and close to the car parks to get up hiking to Helvellyn. Absolutely zero reception in that area for O2 or Vodafone. Nice enough for a night!
Neben der Hauptstrasse, sehr laut, Autos fahren sehr schnell. Aber vollkommen ok für eine Nacht. Nicht sehr eben.
Next to a main road, numerous other campers nearby but a lovely spot!
Large layby, lovely views to wake up to. on a main road but by 9pm it was very quiet. a bin is also in the layby to get rid of rubbish.
Great little parking spot, room for 10-15 vehicles. great place to park for free if trekking up Helvellyn (really recommend). It is on a bit of a main road, fine for us but maybe not if you're a light sleeper.
