Sea view, down a dirt road, spaces in front of houses but keep heading down and there’s a wall to park up against. No signs. Couple campers here overnight. No trouble. Quiet. Windy! Road has HUGE pot holes and quite uneven so be aware. There was a coffee van and pizza van as we drove down (Saturday 4pm in Mid April). Sunrise over the sea, sunset behind. Cool tower house here too.

No señal.

Went to park here but was quite busy! Found a little spot further back before this and was perfect. Woke up to sea views.

  • 5/5

Top spot ! Whilst I wouldn’t want to drive down that road / track in the rain, and all the massive potholes disguised as mere puddles, I had a beautiful dry and sunny day to run the slalom. Just two other MHs and myself. Great chat with walkers passing by, and a lovely calm evening with the sound of the waves crashing on the pebble beach. Great !

After a long drive towards Dover for a ferry, this was a lovely spot for an overnight stop. Nice quick walk along the coast in the morning with lots of friendly locals.

  • 5/5

As others have said, the access is a bit bumpy but it's not an issue. Great little spot for an overnight before catching the Eurotunnel. We dropped lucky with gorgeous weather and a calm sea during our stay. Quite peaceful, with just friendly dog walkers passing by Highly recommended.

  • 3/5

nice quiet spot with beautiful sea view, bumpy road, but some complaining and unfriendly pedestrians

  • 5/5

been coming here years only stay one night then move great shop and Chinese takeaway too great views over sea and old sunk mulberry harbour

  • 5/5

Great, Free , Quite .... parked here over a couple of nights . 10 vans and campers. my van is a LWB transit parked against the wall over looking the sea , still have 2m in front before the walkway .

  • 5/5

lovely quiet place was a bit worried about staying but asked the coffee man that comes in the morning and he said locals don't mind parking up the track a bit not in the little car park at beginning of track locals use this.

  • 5/5

Great little spot. Golf course one way and the sea just over the sea wall. About 6 campers here and us in our car camper. Bliss…

  • 4/5

Not an official car park as such, but a nice spot and quiet at least in early May. Watch out for the pot holes especially when hidden in the puddles after rain, definitely recommend going on a dry day during daylight - if in doubt, keep close to the seawall! Also, windy!

  • 5/5

We loved waking up this close to the beach, great if high van as not a car park

  • 4/5

Great little spot right next to the beach, we had a wonderful quiet night with one over camper next to us. Only trouble is the VERY potholed access road.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Great Park up for the night A little bumpy now but was still OK We have stayed here a couple of times now but this time one camper was playing music a little bit to loud. I worry if this happens too many time the residents will get parking overnight stopped let's show a bit of respect people. I would hate to lose this one as well

  • 4/5

Great park up for the night. Road quite hazardous with large pot holes, but Drive slowly & carefully no problems. Very quiet peaceful nights sleep listening to the waves.

  • 5/5

another peaceful night listening to the waves 3rd time back atvthis place

  • 5/5

Stayed here in October before we took the ferry from Dover to Calais. Nice spot. From time to time a car drives by. There were just some friendly locals and fishermen.

  • 2/5

site is noisy with loud group chat until late. Don't use if you want an early night.

  • 3/5

Nice quiet parking spot. Lots of midges though so couldn’t have windows open in the van or go for a nice beach walk without being swarmed. No toilets close by and the road to the site is very worn and has potholes. Mobile data is patchy and there are no bins onsite. Not bad for a one night stopover but no more.

  • 5/5

Very peaceful place, sound of waves and song of birds.... safe and very beautiful. It's free, you have to visit it.

  • 5/5

Cracking place for a weekend quite break. maybe a bit of fishing. good cycling routes either way along the sea wall. New Romney 1 mile walk away. a few local shops a short walk towards Dungeness. Dungeness is 5miles. Folkstone is 13.5 miles. but on the way along the sea wall you also have. Dymchurch, Hythe. and Sandgate

  • 3/5

Quiet location out of season. No facilities, great view. Can be windy most of the time.

  • 5/5

Great view, be careful of potholes but worth it for sure

  • 5/5

beautiful parkup. as the road is a little bumpy, not too many cars get to this spot. take your time, avoid the potholes and it will be worth it.

  • 5/5

Wonderful place to stay, with lovely walks both ways along the coast and inland too. Final bit of road in front of the suggested wall is very deeply potholed, so best not arrive after dark! Locals seem very friendly towards tidy and quiet motorhomes/campervans. A trip on the nearby Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is a must!

  • 5/5

Great night before our euro tunnel the next day, about 35 mins from the tunnel. Would only be a few spots for a long van but we managed it no problem. I imagine it gets busy in the summer.

  • 5/5

super spot, full with over vans by 7pm. Stay stealthy to avoid upsetting the locals. A real gem.

  • 4/5

Pulled up early evening to stay for 1 night. Beautiful view of the sea. Quiet spot. Lots of dog walkers the next morning all very friendly. Lovely walks along the seafront.

  • 5/5

Super Parkplatz mit unbeschreiblicher Aussicht auf Meer.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Stayed here for our first night ever in a campervan at the end of March. Great quiet night's sleep and wonderful to wake up and see the sea in the morning. Road is potholed but if you drive slowly and carefully you can manoeuvre your way along. Recommend reversing in to the space to face the sea. No facilities but calm and peaceful. Easy cycling along the coast to find toilets and lunch.

  • 4/5

Pot holes and wind aside, This is a wonderful quiet place to stay. Fantastic views. Looking forward to a peaceful night.

  • 4/5

Long pot holed road, for a few spaces at the end of the track - don’t advise lowered VDubs etc, especially in winter. Would advise backing into the spaces, for sea views and the sunrise. And boy what a sunrise. Yes lots of walkers and cyclists during the day, and the early morning joggers and dog walkers pass by very early, but why not with views like this, but felt safe and quiet after sundown.

  • 5/5

Great stop for overnight next to the beach/sea wall. Very quiet and lots of spaces available. Lots of large puddles (giant pot holes) but they are just about manageable. Public bins available here. Public toilet 3km north at the St Mary's carpark (the disabled loo seems to be open year-round). (Height restriction, so can't park there). Coffee van at the other end of the golf course (north).

  • 4/5

Love this spot, a few vans here tonight. peaceful and great view back towards Hythe and Folkestone. spectacular moon

  • 5/5

Nice spot bit bumpy dirt track but our 7.3 m motorhome was no problem.

  • 5/5

Great spot gets busy. drive towards the end if the unmade Roade so your not near the residential area. had a coffee/ice-cream van there on the Saturday really quite. Will definatly use this one again

  • 5/5

Great little spot. All spaces were full.

  • 5/5

Great little spot. Level. Popped down for a night, not any others here. Fits my high roof XLWB well enough and a bit of signal (O2). Free to park.

  • 5/5

Amazing sunrise, very quiet, shared with a couple of vans on Thursday night. No facilities, beautiful spot!

  • 5/5

    Exactly as described, perfect spot.
