All parking at this harbour is on Private land but we welcome visitors.

If you wish to stay you are required to pay £7 to the Dunbeath Preservation Trust donation boxes which clearly show our charity number SC003175 one is located beside the toilets and the other at the beach.

We aren't a rich Trust like some locals like to say we are. We are actually a small local Charity.

This money is used for maintaining the harbour area that we own including our buildings and continuing to maintain and improve this area.

Please note there are now only 2 motor home spaces at the beach. 1 space is for disabled parking and the other is for cars of people visiting the beach.

Really amazing sheltered spot. Thank you for allowing campervans/motorhomes. Little beach at the end with a box of toys which our kids loved. The QR code to donate was not working so had to use cash.

  • 5/5

Fabulous park up for a donation. The top section (up single track) has space for 3 campervans, with additional space closer to toilet block. Grass area with picnic tables and dog bin, small beach, clean toilet block.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Great area with stunning views. I would advise arriving early if you want to park in the end spot which is stunning and has a great grassed area with picnic tables, even has a box full of beach toys available to play with. (Tip, walk down before driving to see if there is space as turning when full is nearly impossible and requires reversing back down the road) Toilets available and kept clean.

  • 5/5

Großartiger Blick aufs Meer. Wundervolle Landschaft. Sehr sauber. Sehr ruhig.

  • 5/5

Incroyable emplacement.

Let’s not forget that the harbour is owned by a trust who rely on contributions to maintain this facility. There are two collections. One for the community for the upkeep of the flowered area and the others are for the trust. It was embarrassing to discover how little is generated for the trust by donations. Please, at least chuck in a £5 to keep this “gem” or there could be chance of losing it!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

8m motorhome - reviews suggest parking areas are bigger than actual. if you are in a larger van, send someone to check there's space before trying this one as the access is very narrow and if there are already vans there you can't turn around. best spot we've found on this stretch of NC500, a real gem

  • 5/5

did not spend the night but came early in the morning for breakfast. because it is situated between a house and a hill it is quite protected from the wind. we were the 3'rd van there and one more could fit at the end

  • 5/5

Great area. Kids were delighted with the games at the beach. The area is owned by the local museum and they have two donation boxes up to pop a couple of quid in. Great little food truck there as well to get a crab or lobster roll from and of course ice cream for the kids! We spoke to a local who said they are planning new benches, tables and a BBQ area which will be fantastic!

  • 5/5

Great place to stay. flat and quiet, apart from the waves. Nice walk along the beach

  • 5/5

A stunning place which won’t disappoint. The toilets are clean, parking space was ample. We parked along the side of the building but didn’t need to as it wasn’t windy. In the morning we were greeted with a beautiful sunrise and a seal eating its breakfast just out to sea. I highly recommend this place.

  • 5/5

Magnifique , au ras de la mer.

  • 5/5

Brilliant park up. We tucked ourselves in by the white building and had no issue with wind. Really quiet location with only a couple of dog walkers coming through. The seals playing in the bay were a bonus.

  • 4/5

Fabulous spot to stay. We also parked next to the little white building. We watched seals swimming out in front. A quiet night. Would be 5 stars if you could get water. Otherwise as close to perfect as you could want.

  • 5/5

Fantastic stopover. Parked at the furthest part of the car park behind the white house we spent a lovely day and night. Very quiet and with great views. Toilets open 24h and bins. Small trailer selling crab rolls and various other seafood stuff. Pub up in the village closed on Mondays and Tuesdays at this time of year. Donation box for the flowers fund.

  • 5/5

Fantastic view. Quiet overnight but gets busy in the morning with dog walkers etc. Toilets a short walk. Donation boxes are on the fence opposite the toilets. A great little spot. Definitely recommend.

  • 5/5

Beautiful view over the castle and sea, very quiet over night but some people walking till a little later in the evening. Only one other camper van here and public toilets within walking distance :)

  • 5/5

Great site, go to 3td car park if space..

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

An absolutely stunning spot which holds four large campervans if you park respectfully. The spot is very quiet and you will not be disturbed. We turned up around 3pm and spots were filling up so get here in good time. It is a very forgotten spot on the NC500 and well worth a stop off!

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet spot with a great view of the sea. Quite private but great free toilet facility around the corner. Picnic benches and a small grass area so great for the dog

  • 5/5

amazing spot for the night...go as far as you can go, to get sea views. space for 2 motorhomes and one camper van. peaceful and quiet. 24 hrs public toilets 100 meters away.

  • 5/5

Stayed last night 27.10.21 the most beautiful and peaceful spot to spend the night definitely our favourite along the NC500. We added money to the honesty box along the fence for the locals, they are doing a fabulous job making the place look beautiful. Fantastic views over the sea x

  • 5/5

Its all been said before , i agree great spot keep it clean keep it welcoming and give a donation at the loo

  • 5/5

Great spot. Parked next to the building and surprisingly sheltered from the wind. Cracking little find.

  • 5/5

Stayed at the car park at the very end. Room for 3 campers with room for other vehicles to turn around once they hit the dead end. Very quiet at night. a Few walkers in the morning. Hidden by the white building. Walking distance to the 24/7 toilets they were surprisingly clean. Leave a donation! There is a little coffee shack next to toilets. A pub nearby, but it's closed on Mondays.

  • 5/5

What a great spot good views clean toilets make a donation in the supplied box for the village. Help keep the spot open . Can’t fault the place

  • 5/5

We stayed at the small car park at the end of the road for one night in August. There were 2 other vans next to us. Toilets are open all night, and there's a seafood snack van open during the day, and a box for donations. Could imagine locals might get a bit fed up if the small car park is full of vans during the day - one woman parking her car was snippy with me, although warmed up once we spoke.

  • 5/5

We loved this spot. Very quiet and clean public toilets close by.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot with great view. Short walk behind the houses to The Bay for a drink and great pub supper. Wood fired pizza and fish & chips, very friendly and reasonably priced. The Highland Council Ranger stopped by just after 8am and said that they would prefer if we had parked in the other car park as it was restrictive for turning here if there were a few vans. No signs here to this effect.

  • 5/5

Fantastic. Checked this site out on the way past but only parked for an hour ( left a donation anyway ). Only us there at time but noticed tell tale sign on gravel hardstanding area that 3 vans had very recently let their grey waste tanks discharge onto the surface. PLEASE do not do this. It's not just soapy water - it's got food waste etc in it. Think of others, especially non motorhomers !

  • 5/5

20/06/2021 - really lovely spot, arrived around 6 and took the last space on this part but there was plenty of room further down. Little beach area and picnic benches. Clean toilets open all hours. Would recommend!

  • 5/5

Great stop over for the night. Beautiful views. Clean toilets. Highly recommended.

  • 5/5

Fantastic place! I had to park opposite to the other campers but now I can say there is space for four campers.

  • 5/5

Gem of a place. Lovely sea view. Cliff top walk up steep path, or 10 mins walk to pub. Sheltered from north or east winds. Public toilets close by. Quiet at night, dog /walkers pass by occasionally daytime. Please leave donation for community flowers and Xmas lights.

  • 5/5

In love with this spot. One of our favourites. We saw a seal in the sea. Sheltered from the wind. The locals are SO friendly and welcoming. Fair few people walking passed or drove up and every one of them stopped to chat to us. What a lovely part of the country. 24hr toilets. Leave a donation if you can.

  • 5/5

Great spot. Peaceful and fairly sheltered unless the wind is coming off the North Sea.

  • 4/5

Cracking little over night stop.. right on the sea front with great views of the coast and great walk along the coast cliff's called in at the pub for a cheeky beer on my walk and what a lovely couple of owners, very informative of the local area and very welcoming.. cracking fresh fire cooked pizzas and lovely burgers!

  • 5/5

Amazing little spot ! watched seals in the harbour , toilets very clean, let’s all leave a donation so we don’t lose this little gem

  • 5/5

Epic parkup!! Lots to explore. Very quiet, toilets open all night. Went for a lovely morning sea swim and sat eating breakfast by the harbour. Perfecto!!

  • 5/5

Just so nice, there is 3 areas here to park. 1. by toilet which is good size. 7 vans 2. 3 vans just up ahead. 3. 3 vans behind white building. but definitely worth staying. lovely views and quite.

  • 5/5

Vue superbe, calme, plat.

Servicios 100 m y columpios a 300 m.

  • 5/5

Great hidden spot with easy beach access, bins and some picnic tables. Hardstanding and fairly level. Very quiet night.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Clean, well kept with lovely views over a quiet harbour. toilets open 24hrs just a few metres away. Quite a few people stopping and admiring the view until it went quiet about 10pm.

  • 5/5

Very clean picnic area and toilets. Beautiful little town, beach would be nice in summer.

  • 5/5
