We stayed here in a MWB Sprinter and a Lwb vivaro, plenty of space next to the park. April 2024. A few people walking dogs but no problems. Red lion pub is 5 minutes walk away and you're right on the river Aln. public toilets just round the corner too. comes recommended!
Great on street parking. around 12 places. public toilets nearby and plenty of local pubs to visit. best to get there later when all the cars have gone home. great views of the beach and sea. highly recommend staying here. houses on the street appear to be holiday lets.

Couldn't get parked as all spots were taken so had to move on. Disappointed again.
Man hat eine schöne Aussicht, steht aber direkt an der Straße. Im Sinne des fair Parkens, sollte man hier eigentlich nicht stehen. Es ist zwar nicht verboten, aber man merkt den Anwohnern an, das es nicht gern gesehen ist, es sind relativ wenig Parkplätze vorhanden. Wir könnten uns vorstellen, dass es bald verboten wird hier zu stehen.
Nice spot, on street but very quiet, next to estuary beach, small boat port and path to sea beach. Some noise from trains which are on other side of estuary. Toilets available 5 min walk, small bins as well. Plenty walks, dog paradise, a lot of benches.
Beautiful views from the park up. very quiet, only saw dog walkers but that could be because of the time of year. public toilets are not too far away and bins nearby too. Only downside was that the street isn't level.
wunderschöner Ort, toller Strand, der ideal zum spazieren gehen mit Hunden ist. Jetzt, Ende November, viel Platz, sehr entspannt. Man steht zwar an der Straße, aber eine sehr kleine, ruhige Sackgasse.
Absolutely beautiful view to wake up to - you can see Coquet Island in the distance. I got there late as a courtesy to the houses along this street, but that meant there were limited parking options and I ended up on a slope. In the morning someone parked very close behind me, which made pulling away stressful. Would recommend bagging your spot earlier.
Got here quite late and parked up next to Ferryman’s hut which was quite flat. Very quiet with occasional dog walker. Opposite large houses which are holiday lets but no one was home. Toilets and village centre 5 minutes walk. Excellent site.
stayed here on Friday 16th sept 2022. got here on sea dunes wall at 10.30pm , very quiet spot ,a little on slope but OK, best spot is right at ferryman cabin , but what a view and scene in the morning, free and no hassle
Plaats is mooi maar niet geschikt voor campers langer dan 5,5. -6 m. Doodlopende weg lastig te draaien met grote motorhome. Alles staat vol met personenauto’s. te veel kleine plaatsen en zeker niet vlak. Niet aan te bevelen. Sta nu 300 m voor het dorp bij het voetbalveld. Prima plek om te overnachten.
Lovely quiet free spot opposite the harbour. Free parking on side of the road. Mostly on a slope. Public toilets a short walk away which is handy. Can be a bit windy at night and noise from the boat masts, but it's all part of the charm! 20 seconds walk to the beach. Our favourite place to visit in the U.K. it's just a shame you can't park behind the dunes anymore!

As others have said, great spot right by the beach, but you need to be at the end by the hut for the more level spots.
Plenty of spaces this time of year, right next to the estuary, you can step straight onto the dunes. There are streetlights, although there are some darker spots. It's very sloped,slightly flatter down the bottom towards the marina. If Id had time to hang around in the morning I'd definitely move to the beach car park. Spot is great for overnight, but wouldn't be very special for daytime.
Stayed last night. Beautiful views. Friendly locals. Got a space by the ferryman's hut. 6metre van just fit in. Nearby free toilets open all night. Plenty of litter bins. Lovely beach and town. No shortage of pubs.
Great location and fairly quiet, however only really suitable for smaller vans and the spaces are very limited even in the evening. also hardly any of the spots are flat.

Spaces are set out so not big enough for lwb. Arrived F'day night. One space left, a work van was moving out of the next space. So I managed to park but overhanging into the next. Woke up the next morning, people driving up and down looking for a space. People with golf clubs and yoga mats. Moved before breakfast as I didnt think it was right me taking up 2 spaces when locals were unable to park
Quiet on street parking down by the river. Most of the parking is sloped however the ones closest to the Ferryman’s Hut are flat. Had a pleasant evening and wasn’t disturbed. Only me here last night. Rubbish bins and public toilets nearby. Would stay again.
