Nice spot on a simple layby but perfect for a night. There is some traffic in the evening but it soon quietens down. Poor WiFi though and no TV.

Lovely spot! There were a few other vans about. Barely any signal but that’s no bad thing!

Quiet road next to a pub. night very quiet .

Quiet road next to a pub. Pub is dog friendly. Don’t not park on the main road that the pub is set back on. This appears to be busy due to station nearby.

Great spot. Popular both with day walkers and campervans on the night. Must have been about 6 of us during the night, but wouldn't have known as everyone was silent. Great nights sleep. Pub smelt amazing but unfortunately didn't go try it. But there is a nature reserve just a 5 minute walk away that is perfect for and evening/morning stroll.

Stayed for two separate nights on section of old A66 between The Pheasant Inn and Bassenthwaite Lake Station (Cafe and Orient Express restaurant). No noise from A66, two very peaceful nights and interesting meal in restaurant - recommend pre booking afternoon tea.

Quiet stop over. No facilities but no hassle. Bagged 5 Wainwright’s in a big walk from the van, including Lords Seat. Rewarded ourselves with a great meal at the Pheasant Inn, dog friendly and good food and ale - located 2 mins away.

Great little stop, quiet. good pub about 2 min walk away. no signal on 3 network.

Stopped here last night got here about 7pm very quite leaving about 10am perfect overnight stop

Excellent spot peaceful and sheltered from the wind due to a hillock and woodland between the location and new A66 road. 100 yards walk to the pub. Mobile signal( Vodafone) OK. Ticks pretty much all the boxes. Breakfast at the pub or heritage railway cafe. What's not to like!

This is a lovely peaceful stop. Level ground and away from the main roads. No passing cars through the night. Some overhanging trees, had to park slightly away from the kerb due to tall van but wasn’t an issue.

Great spot although room for several vans/MH in this layby we were only ones there. Short walk to the pub/inn which is well worth a visit for food or beer. Very quiet as hidden behind bank and trees and is off A66

great little spot, nice pub at the end of the road. Main road noisy in the day time but quiet over night. Had to move further along as it looked and smelt like someone had emptied their composting toilet at the side of the park up. Don't do that!! Leave no trace!!

Great park up for night, very quiet very dark! The pub is just up the road, 4G very sketchy on Vodafone and O2. Close to the lake.
