Hayling Island sadly has limited free parking and most parking close to the seafront is costly with prohibition notices. This small lay-by however was free with maximum stay of 24 hours - free parking. Ambiguous signage however we stayed for one night without issues. Very little traffic throughout the night. Would use again. Remember - leave no trace
I stayed here friday 14th july 2023. 18:00-09:00 There was minimal road noise, just a few passing cars. It was windy and the spot is not sheltered so a little van rocking but still got a good night's sleep. The ground is grass and uneven so carefully in and out but found a nice level bit. In the morning there were a couple of friendly dog walkers, said hi.
No probs overnighting here! Nice walk to the Beach / Pub and around the nearby WW2 battery. Will definitely return.
There is a 3 ton weight limit and the site is no good if your vehicle is longer than 5 meters.
Nach starkem Regen die letzten Tage leider sehr matschig und viele große Pfützen. Ansonsten wäre es sicherlich ein sehr schöner & ruhiger Platz direkt an einer großen Wiese
Nice place with only a short 10' walk to the beach. 24h limit is still valid. Some little traffic on the road at night and a lot of dog walkers.
24 hour stay limit here. Soft verges, be careful, not level either. Lots of dog walkers and can be a little of a race track at night. On the whole a great pit stop if needed. Wet November review.
