Small car park and lay-bys at the end of a dead end road. Next to train station but no trains overnight when we visited. Probably space up to 4 campervans. Right by one of the paths in to the New Forest, bins back along the road towards the Happy Cheese pub and the pub has good food and drink too. Alternative pub other side of railway line (The New Forest Ashurst).

Not a bad little park up, however it’s quite noisy next to train track and busy road seem to be quieter after 10:30-11 slept surprisingly well though. As others have said a lot of the short lane is now covered with logs cut from the tree leaving only the end area to park we tucked right in and it was okay, people do use it as a turning area, pub close by, food looked good we didn’t eat.

Perfect for 1 night, 2 good pubs, some lovely walks also .

Only really room for 2 vans at the end. Pub seemed friendly, let us use their toilet. Public footpath by the spot so expect people to walk by but woke up to horses on the other side of the gate :) Train noise died out by 11pm.

Sadly branches of wood have been moved into the majority of the pull in spots leaving just two at the end. Easily movable but I expect will be replaced with something bigger if someone’s got a gripe with vans. Otherwise a very convinient spot.

Good stay very pleasant. Nice walk through the forest literally at the van door . Pub just 2 mins walk and bins . Little busy in the day and a little noisy until 11pm but after that peaceful

4* = Good. Nice little spot for the night. Trains were pretty loud but managed to get a good sleep. Nice short walk through the gate. Friendly locals.

Stayed in layby last night. Paid car park has overnight restrictions, but dead end track after it is free of both cost and restrictions. Biggest noise problem came from occupants of VW T5 that parked up shortly after us. Traffic and trains not too bad. Would not ordinarily return here but Forestry Commission restrictions in New Forest are such that it's a reasonable option.

First night away in camper, great spot, friendly locals when treating area nicely :))) not loud at all just sounds of cars on road occasionally. More Wildlife a couple roads down

wasn't our fave stop. despite reviews saying it was quiet, it was pretty noisy due to main road and train tracks. with the van closed it was ok. slept alright. facilities in pub nearby, which we visited due to good reviews and a nice curb appeal but the food was bad, "weatherspoons is better" was the communal verdict. wouldn't return.

Stayed here for a night in this quiet dead end track. Although next to trainline, no train overnight. There were some odd walker/jogger in the morning but no trouble. Lovely quiet spot to rest away from the roads.

Great spot out the way, very quite apart from the odd dog walker but no issues at all, pub 30 seconds up the road if you fancy it

Great little spot out of the way, next to train line (quiet between 11pm-8am) and walking distance to pub, coop and takeaways. Bins nearby at carpark on same road.

Nice quiet spot, few dog walkers but no bother from them. End of a dead end road with foot paths, close to a pub, some bins nearby. Very close to a train station but trains did not disturb us.

Spent a really peaceful night here. Quite a few walkers passing by, but the ned of s track so no traffic. Right next to lovely forest walks.
