Lovely little fishing harbour, very sheltered and quiet. Would have stopped overnight but wanted to get further north - we did fill up with water though, it was free as no one was around to give any money to!

Lovely Harbour park up. Very quiet. Still in use by locals. Donation suggested. No 4G. Bins available. Would recommend.

What a cool spot, lovely footpath up the hill to the left looking back down at the lighthouse, beaches and great views! Very happy with this find, spotted risso’s dolphins from the cliff top, very friendly local fishermen

Love it there. Nice and quiet. The only noise are the fishermen and birds. No signals for the phone unless you go to the top of the wall. We always leave a donation in the box.

Can stand really close to the mini Lighthouse. Little bit of leveling is enough on the concrete. Lighthouse is operational bit only transmits soft red light in the evening. Quite a bit narrow road but manageable with a big campervan.

Stayed overnight 10/4/23 after a road accident closed the A99 nearby. One other van there. We both parked up against the high harbour wall. Lovely and quiet, no problems at all and we were ignored by the fishermen in the morning.

Stopped to walk the dog & take in scenery at 2pm. Locals begged for money. Within minutes of arriving, a car followed me down & asked for a donation in the box. I said I'm only stopping a few minutes but I'll put something in on my way out. He then asked for the donation direct. Gave him £5 and he said most give £10 & held hand out for more. This happened twice more with diffrnt locals within 30m

Lovely place to stay on a calm clear night. Very sporadic wi-fi signal but you can go up to the main road for a good signal before you go back down to the harbour for the night. Nice little beach too. Didn't see a water tap but to be honest we didn't really look very hard.

stopped over for some water fill up. easy to find. lovely view with lighthouse and little harbour. would be lovely place to stay overnight

  • 5/5

Brilliant place to stay. Visitor centre is closed but lovely views, very quiet and blessed with sunshine. Nice pub in the centre of the village. EE phones have no problem with signal outside the visitor centre. Would come again no problem :)

  • 5/5

Stopped off to have a break from driving, nice little park up for lunch in the van. Am guessing it would be quiet at night to stay.

  • 5/5

Quiet harbour with small beach next door.

Parked on harbour by Lighthouse. Only camper van there. Very peaceful and lovely looking out to sea.

  • 4/5

Lovely quiet spot and sheltered from wind. Couldn’t find the water point and cafe closed for season. Toilets available in village.

15/05/22 - Spent one night here no problems. Flat and sheltered from the elements. Leave a donation to keep it available. Water fill up is handy. Good for a stop over.

  • 4/5

Excellent place to park up, we were under the lighthouse all night. Quiet too. Only motorhome on the harbour, no facilities but full of character. A real gem of a place. It's a tiny working harbour so leave space near the loading areas. There is a donation box on the lampost by the storage shed for anyone staying over, we left £10.

  • 1/5

no water tap available as Heritage Centre wasn't open. very pretty harbour though

  • 5/5

Fantastic little spot, what having a motorhome should be all about! Only us and one other van all night, they were already by the harbour buildings so we parked by the lighthouse and had amazing sea views. Filled up with water in the morning and left £5.

  • 5/5

Lovely little spot, water fill up available via donation

  • 2/5

Might be different on a summer evening, but on a rainy night in October, limited view, no phone or tv signal, we decided not to stay.

  • 5/5

Fantastic and unique spot, the best night we had on the East Coast. Sheltered and very quiet along the harbour wall. Local fishermen were really friendly and you may be in luck for a crab or lobster tea! Make sure you donate and leave no trace as felt really lucky to be able to stay here!

  • 5/5

Plenty of room. About 7 vans overnight. We stayed on a sunday night. We saw a couple of seals and the dog enjoyed the beach. Cafe was closed for 2021 season. It was a very quiet stay. No phone signal unless on the end of the pier. Would absolutely stay again.

  • 5/5

Stunning little harbour, where else can you stay on a harbour next to a light house legally. Brilliant little stone beach. local lads fishing off the wall. Really authentic one off overnight spot. There is a donation pot on a post for your stay, please use it because without some donations we will loose this great spot. To the people that run the spot Thank you!!

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night. Lovely view. Fishermen coming and going and managed to get a few mackerel for tea.

  • 5/5

Impromptu stop due to a crash on A9 closing the road.. what a find! Friendly helpful ranger Steve who explained where we could park - on harbour, next to right hand side wall... not allowed to park up above beach as access required at all times. Lovely view from coastal path. Great to see fishing boats heading off in morning. Access to bins and fresh water. No toilets. Donations welcomed.

  • 5/5

Awesome little spot on the actual harbour. the pebble beach to the side is lovely. only had one other van turn up. couple of kids wanted to sell me fresh crab and lobster. friendly fisherman leaving early in the morning. the floodlights did come on late but no big deal.

  • 5/5

Excellent spot. Beautiful views and very quiet

  • 4/5

Very quite and peaceful. Lovely views and nice walk up to the view point. Didn't spend the night but a few vans pulled up when we were leaving. Great location

  • 5/5

Brilliant place to stay for the night. Left a donation for the harbour. We have a toilet on board, without one you would struggle here. LED lights light the harbour at night and there’s a pebble beach and a light house what more could you want. Fishermen in the morning were friendly and gave us a welcoming head nod.

  • 4/5

Wonderful spot. Plenty of room. There is an honesty box for donations toward harbour upkeep. Only problem we had was very poor mobile signal.
