Area for a break or sleep in the middle of the Marchiennes forest. Picnic table, departure of the hiking trail. Little traffic because one-way road and cycle path. Very calm, just had a few mosquitoes in the evening because of the first heat ... Attention! no SFR network so ideal for a technological break?
Ein Rast- oder Schlafplatz mitten im Wald der Marchiennes. Picknicktisch, Abfahrt des Wanderweges. Wenig Verkehr, da Einbahnstraße und Radweg. Sehr ruhig, hatte nur abends ein paar Mücken wegen der ersten Hitze... Achtung! kein SFR-Netz also ideal für eine technologische Pause?
Espacio para descansar o dormir en medio del bosque de Marchiennes. Mesa de picnic, salida de la ruta de senderismo. Poco tráfico por carretera de un solo sentido y carril bici. Muy tranquilo, acabo de tener unos mosquitos por la noche por culpa del primer calor ... ¡Atención! ¿No hay una red SFR tan ideal para un salto tecnológico?

Quite a secluded spot although due to the amount of speed bumps, it takes quite some time getting there and back out due to the one way system. There are similar spots in the forest, more than the two listed. There is plenty of activity in the woods so not ideal for those easily spooked! When you hear twigs snapping it makes you wonder what is out there!
Use chemin du bon ballon for access. Do not follow sat nav instructions for Chemin de l’oiseau. This takes you to a pedestrian entrance, forest track with barrier. Very hard to turn round unless you are a small van
très bon spot très peu de passage, nous étions deux véhicules pour la nuit, table de pic nique, chemin de randonnée, c'était top. très peu de réseau par contre pour ceux qui en ont besoin.
Très bien pour être au calme, passage sympa de randonneurs, très calme la nuit
Nice in the forest, some joggers in the morning. Flat, gravel parking, room for a few campers leaving respectful room in between. Went around picking up a lot of toilet paper (poo-ey) and wipes. Wipes are not biodegradable, TP is unpleasant for the next person. Bag it all up and dispose - simple. Walk a little, dig a hole, poo in that, and not 200m near water! Otherwise, a peaceful stay.
Le parking est vaste, nous nous sommes posé sur une partie d’herbe dans le fond, aucun passage d’humain signalé pendant notre nuit. On capte strictement rien par contre.
Nous y avons passé une nuit très calme un samedi soir d’été. Promeneurs, joggeurs, cyclistes et cavaliers dès 9h du matin, mais tous très sympathique. C’est certainement plus calme en semaine. Attention, très peu de réseau sfr.
