Nice spot but be very careful where you park as the ground is very deceptive. We got stuck and had to be towed out. An expensive night.
L'une des nombreuses zones gazonnées le long de la route côtière B5300 au nord de Maryport. Nous avons trouvé cette grande zone en face du parc de caravanes Rowanbank et nous étions le seul fourgon là-bas et juste à côté de la plage. Gardez à l'esprit que c'est sur la côte et qu'il y a du vent, mais c'est un endroit génial, libre et calme.
One of many grassed areas along the B5300 coast road running north of Maryport. We found this large area opposite Rowanbank caravan park and was the only van there and right next to the beach. Bare in mind it’s on the coast and gets windy but a great, free and quiet spot.
Eine von vielen Grasflächen entlang der Küstenstraße B5300, die nördlich von Maryport verläuft. Wir fanden dieses große Areal gegenüber dem Rowanbank Caravan Park und waren der einzige Van dort und direkt neben dem Strand. Denken Sie daran, dass es an der Küste liegt und windig wird, aber ein großartiger, freier und ruhiger Ort.
Una de las muchas áreas con césped a lo largo de la carretera costera B5300 al norte de Maryport. Encontramos esta gran área frente al parque de casas rodantes Rowanbank y éramos la única camioneta allí y justo al lado de la playa. Tenga en cuenta que está en la costa y hace viento, pero es un gran lugar, libre y tranquilo.

Popster24/06/2023Lots of park ups along this road, I stopped here for the night with another van, peaceful, beautiful location with access onto the beach for the dog. EE reception ok, one bin at entrance

Lovely spot. Bin nearby and there's a bench. Right on the beach. Spent a peaceful night here with another van who was there when I arrived. Dog walkers arrived about 7am. A beautiful spot, sunset was epic x
Sterling10114/08/2022Parked up with three other vans and had a lovely peaceful night with no bother. Amazing views all along the coast though and if the conditions are right, it's a brilliant spot to watch the sun go down over the Scottish hills. Definitely one of the untapped gems along here!

Fantastic coastal view over the Solway firth. Parked right on sea front, just off the Silloth to Maryport coast road. This place gets busy with overnighters, and there were some passing cars sounding their horns to disturb you. Dont be put off though, there are no visible parking restrictions so enjoy yourself. please clean up after yourself though

Great spot to stay. But i don't agree with people in big campers parking side ways taking up 3 spaces in what is essentially a carpark. Have some respect for the locals who I'm sure would love to park their car here while taking the dog for a walk, but can't as it's full.
