Small car park in the hills. Somewhat overhung by trees but there's a large lay by space opposite that's more open. Beautiful location in the hills. Great walks to be had and it's mountain bike central. Beware the midges in the evening - but all's clear by morning.

I really liked this place. There’s also lots of other potential stop overs all around the area. It’s very quiet, far from residents but no restrictions. It’s an operational pine forest but they’ve provided loads of walks and bike routes. Great place to spend a couple of nights and with the other spots around you could move about and spend more time here if needed. Only problem very little phone signal. Got some on my smarty sim using router and aerial.

stayed there last night was the only one there. spectacular location next to forest's mountain walks and a lake. no signs up at all and was left alone all night completely quiet and zero light pollution at night 10/10 would stay again.

One of the best park ups in the area. Very quiet. Good 4g. Level hard standing within the trees. Enough room for 2/3 vans. Often used by cyclists. No bins. Would recommend.

stayed here 18 and 19th December was foggy when we arrived so opted for the car park rather than the layby. one other van there already. car park is very small. got a flat space. amazing walks and loads of mountain bike trails in the woods. Will be back when the weather is dryer to try out the bike trails.

Très chouette spot avec vue dégagée, au calme. Très peu de passage.

Really beautiful views all around and a quiet area! Give 4 stars because the area under the trees gets VERY muddy and pine needles will take over the inside of your van. Would recommend overall!

fabulous place. a bit annoying when it rains with raindrops from the trees! mountain bike trail runs round the car park. gravel beach on the lake for a bbq

Beautiful location. Lake 100 meter way, possible to swim and SUP. During heatwave the wind made it pleasant. quite at night. Acces road was single track with sifficient passing places even with a 2.3 meter motorhome. Two places, one at a larger spot in the forest and place for 3 motorhomes near the road with view on the valley

Got here just as the sun was going down. Was the only van, well it was Feb! Three cars came later and the occupants all went mountain biking on the trails at night. Location is peaceful and very quite at night.

Beautiful location. As mentioned by others, busy with bikers. The downside for us was there was no 4G. Moved along and found a great spot with signal and very quiet.

Wonderful parkup with gorgeous forest walks, total peace at night (us and 3 vans spaced out). Walkers, swimmers and mountain bikers coming and going during the day - everyone really friendly. Would 100% return here but please don't fill it up with vans - leave space for locals to enjoy or these gems will get taken away.

Lovely place to stay with a beautiful view. Many locals came for swimming/water sports on the small nearby lake, mountain biking through the forest and dog walks, yet all were friendly and polite. Ensure that campers do not overtake the area, and if the place is full, be prepared to find elsewhere.

Excellent spot locals very friendly didn't mind us being there... Just take your rubbish away n be polite

An amazing place to camp. Disrespectful free camping here has given free campers a bad name with locals. Follow some basic rules. 1. Park sensibly, it is a popular local beauty spot. 2. If there are more than 3 or 4 vans here. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE! Taking over car parks, gives free camping a bad name and gets it banned. 3. Do a litter pick and let local people see you doing it. Simple.
