Car park itself is very central. But that comes with it's own negatives. The town centre was fairly busy at all hours leaving you feeling a little exposed. The pub directly across from the car park was very lively. It is a central pub so it's to be expected but it's definitely not a a tranquil parkup. There were people, shouting and bawling, until 1 am. 24hr toilet was really handy though.
Good free car park to explore the town, had a water fountain and plenty of bins, would reccomend The Belfry they are dog friendly and even have a doggie menu.

Leider nicht empfehlenswert. Schöner Ort aber - wenn die rücksichtslosen Boyracer mit den lauen Autos nicht wären. 5 Autos mit dröhnend lauten Motoren die man ewig laufen lässt, hin + her fährt und laut palavert. Zum Glück sind sie endlich um 22.30 Uhr lautstark dröhnend weggerast, noch kilometerweit hörbar mit vielen Fehlzündungen. Schade hätte so schön sein können im beschaulichen Kirkcudbright.
Arrived late at night, so no problem getting a space. Level car park with toilet open 24 hours. Very busy car park during the day. Lovely town for a wander. Garden at Broughton House is definitely worth a visit.
Per a campers i autocaravanes de 6 o més metres, justeta la cosa. A nivell de botigues, tens de tot. Al matí s'omple bastant de locals.
Obwohl wir hier wegen einer Veranstaltung nicht parken konnten, gebe ich für diesen netten Platz die volle Punktzahl. Alles andere haben die anderen Kollegen beschrieben. Wir haben in einer Sackgasse entland des Flusses neben einer kleinen Fabrik platz gedunden. Gehen dann heute gegen 20:30 Uhr die 400 m zurück zu der Dudelsack-Veranstaltung. Der Platz ist noch ruhiger, als der Stadt-Parkplatz.
Great little harbour carpark, Free with toilets opened all night, went to the Kirkcudbright Hotel bar for a couple or three , the landlord and locals all very welcoming gave advice on where to visit. highly recommend.
Was für ein hübsches Städtchen. Der Platz ist ruhig, direkt am Hafen gelegen. Saubere Toilette nebenan. Bäcker und coop direkt gegenüber. Bitte sauber halten.
From Easter onward check the town website. There are multiple events throughout the summer on a Sunday. We turned up to find an Artisans market through until 6pm. There are alternatives nearby and a Campsite just through the town if all else fails
stopped here for 1 nite last wk and back for 2 nites this wk.. pubs are very friendly shops over the road and very quiet.. toilets are out off order at the minute though.. but over all very good
unfortunately the car park was not available because of a funfair!

Good sized car park which allows overnight, no charge. Didn’t see the toilet being locked, if at all. Great location for town, lots of shops etc. we stayed Saturday night so the pub was noisy u til midnight but didn’t bother us. Overlooks the river Dee. Would stay again if needed overnight in area.
Amazing spot quiet and central. There are some public toilets. Asked the police if we could stay and they reply no problem at all. Really recomended
This is not an overnight stop. it is a small car park. no tap. I will edit.
We arrived aroun 5:30 and the carpark was quite full. By 6:15 the space near the disabled bays came free so we parked there with our back end over the cobblestone. Lovely and quiet. Fish and chips were lovely and treat us to a slice of their homemade bonoffee cake fabulous well recommended.
It worked brilliantly for us. 6.5m A Class. We arrived on Tuesday 7th May c.6pm. Lots of spaces. Chose one next to disabled and used rear pavement for overhang so only took up one space (didn’t encroach on disabled but ensured we could get in and out of van). Cashpoint, supermarket, public toilets and chip shop etc within 20m. Car park started filling up 10am next day. Peaceful night.
This is a public car park with only crowded on street parking next to water. The carpark itself was absolutely jam packed with cars. Could never rely on this place for parking and is likely to be extremely noisy.
