Nice park up. It was very windy when we stayed and it did wake us up, but it was blowing a mad one, ridiculous wind but that’s what you get then you go to Scotland in Feb!!! Beautiful views and relatively flat! No mosquitoes as early in the season and they would probably freeze. Would stay again!

  • 5/5

nice and flat and tarmacked and very quiet

  • 5/5

Quiet night, not a lot of wind cover, but then again cover is very hard to find. Large flat area though

  • 4/5

Lovely spot, no midges at this time of year (Oct) loads of room for two. Ranger turned up to clear up other people’s mess, nice guy. Very quiet and out of the wind.

  • 3/5

Tucked away and hard standing, but on a slant. As others have said there is evidence that people have stayed here before and lots of midges.

  • 3/5

OK and pretty nice spot, however, people need to learn how to clean up after themselves. there is a sh*t of the side and lots of toilet paper in bushes around. if you are going to do your business, take the toilet paper away with you, dig your hole and bury it. very slight incline, concrete, slightly sheltered with ferns, lovely view. no sunset, lovely sunrise.

  • 5/5

nice spot, flat, bit sheltered, good view, little over 1 mile walk to lighthouse

  • 5/5

Super spot, avec jolie vue. Route très peu passante. Lieu plat.

  • 5/5

Great spot, thank you, nice and quiet and out of the wind

  • 5/5

Perfect, thank you for sharing this space. I’ve arrived in the dark and excited to go for a walk with my dogs in the daylight.

  • 4/5

Étonnamment à l'abri du vent, in peu en pente mais nuit très calme et belle vue au réveil !

  • 5/5

lovely peaceful night here, shared the space with one other camper but could be space for one more! relatively flat and sheltered from the wind. good signal 4G on O2 but not great on 3 and EE. annoyingly some people leave their litter behind in the shrubs but otherwise a great spot with nice views

  • 3/5

Stayed here one night, was very quiet. Flat, good phone signal, and relatively sheltered. Sadly a lot of rubbish in the surrounding shrub!!!!

  • 3/5

Great spot but sadly people have been dumping their chemical toilet waste. Such a shame! Please dispose of your shit responsibly, literally!

  • 1/5

29/9/21 You could have fitted two motorhomes/vans in this layby but one very selfish vanlifer took up the whole spot by parking across it instead of facing in/out so no-one else could park there. It's people like this that give the vanlife community a bad reputation. Selfish people like that rarely think of others, no wonder locals hate those that travel in vans/motorhomes.

  • 4/5

Arrived after going to the lighthouse and space for 2 large vans. Windy but a little sheltered compared to some others I've seen. Hard standing so no worry about getting stuck. Peaceful night and lovely sunrise in the morning.

  • 4/5

Arrived one van here, by morning there were three of us. Exceptionally windy overnight (check wind speed/direction as it is exposed somewhat on one side. No issues overnight. Would have walked to the lighthouse in the morning but it was so so windy! We would have moved overnight but sheltered spots generally in this area thin on ground. Stayed 22.09.21 after returning from Orkney islands. 3G internet on 3 okay. No bins/toilets.

  • 4/5

Good spot only one that really is hard standing. can easily fit two large motohomes. ours is 8.4m long and still space for another. Good views over the many lochs. get there mid day otherwise will be gone and then left with top of hill outside lighthouse car park or for smaller vans plenty of little spaces. 20 minute walk from here to Dunnet head lighthouse

  • 5/5

Secluded spot only a few minutes drive from Dunnet Head. Looked like the dumped toilet mentioned below was in a corner and we just avoided that area. Lovely place to spend the night in the wild.

  • 4/5

Good little stop over, space for two vans. Full of midges and someone has dumped their toilet waste(and also tried to burn it) so we didn’t get out of the van. However, the views are still amazing and it’s so peaceful overnight.

  • 3/5

Shame it's been used to dump the contents of chemical toilets dirty pigs

  • 4/5

Lovely spot for a Motorhome. Even better is that it is hard standing. The views are stunning and less than a mile from the most northerly point in the UK. Probably enough space for 2 units.

  • 5/5

We stayed here last night it was very quite and didn’t get disturbed also great views

  • 5/5

Gorgeous view of lochs, came at the end of May and was really quiet. Very convenient if you want to catch the sunset up at Dunnett Head and catch the moon rise!

  • 5/5

Easy access, fairly level and other stops close if occupied

  • 5/5

Great spot, stayed here for a few days due to the concrete park up area, it being sheltered and away from the road. Went for some lovely walks to explore the area and maybe due to local down or Covid, hardly any traffic by day or night.

  • 4/5

Well worth finding this little pull in. Out of the wind, ideally use levelling blocks but very quiet while we were there. One other van joined us on this spot, wouldn’t advise more than 2 during COVID but could fit 3 otherwise at a push. Great for Dunnet’s head and the nearby distillery for amazing gin.

  • 5/5

Great little site. 3 vans at a push. Tarmac with a very slight slope but we managed without any chocks. We found it very sheltered as its very windy at the moment. 1 lot of boy racers went past about 9.30, obviously heading to the lighthouse carpark but otherwise very quiet site until about 8am. Fab view of the lochs and moors.

  • 5/5

Good spot. space for two comfortably, three at a squeeze. Nice walk up a track just a few metres up the road. Slghtly sloping but I managed without chocks. mental note to get some though! Set back from the road and its a quiet road at night. leave no trace so we can keep spaces like this going.

  • 5/5

Guter Platz zum übernachten, fester Untergrund auch für größere Wohnmobilen geeignet. Nachts sehr ruhig.

  • 5/5

Quiet Place by the road, solid underground (no mud), nice view

  • 5/5

Endroit pratique.
