(SN14 7HH) Upper Castle Combe - Dunns Lane

Super Parkplatz, um von dort aus ins Dorf zu laufen. Als wir dort waren, waren viele Plätze frei, wir hatten keinerlei Probleme, mit unserem WoMo zu parken.

Big spacious car park with plenty of spots available. Defo is a pay and display situation. It’s cash or follow the instructions via a text which is what I did - dead easy and cheap, 2 hours was £1.80 - and easy walk in to the village which is stunning

Parking pratique et gratuit pour visiter cette charmante ville. Aucun service. Attention en effet il peut se remplir très vite à partir de 10h les jours d'affluence.

Large car park, about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Castle Combe. Nothing special but convenient and quiet.

Nice looking parking but sign at entrance saying « no cooking in vehicle » and « no sleeping in vehicle » couldn’t be more targeting van owners than that... probably fine to stay anyway. But we preferred to move on.

Entire carpark on a slight slope, very minor. We managed to park next to the grass and sit outside in the sun in the afternoon, again no issues. Heard from locals peak summer it's much busier, so may not be as flexible then. No phone signal in the whole of Castle Combe! Local pub offers free WiFi in town.

Wir haben hier eine ruhige Nacht verbracht und am nächsten Tag das schöne Dorf besucht. Kurzer, schöner Fußweg. Tagsüber ist der Platz sehr voll.

Ruhig und nah an dem hübschen Örtchen. Wir standen hier mit 2 weiteren Campern. Auch morgens waren hier nicht viele Einheimische. Mülleimer vorhanden.

Spend a lovely evening here last night (Feb 22). Very quite with no overlooking houses.

Spent a night here, lovely little village to drive through and the car park was empty when we arrived and we were joined by one other camper at some point in the night, lovely and quiet, not the most scenic park up but did the job felt very safe!

We arrived early evening & snuck away in the corner trying not to be inconspicuous tho boy racers decided to park next to us playing their loud music, revving their cars, chatting outside ,we heard footsteps around our moho We were safe and kept quiet. After we slept for nearly 8 hours in peace and quiet. Please note there is no WiFi or mobile data here in the evening.

Great overnight stop. Arrived late, two other campers in. A car and a lorry there in the morning when we woke after very peaceful nights sleep. Perfect for a free stop overnight one route on the M4. Roads a little narrow to get there but got our 6m x 2.1m camper there fairly easily.

Large car park. Free parking day or night. Suitable for all vehicles. No barrier. No facilities but quiet. Castle Combe village is a short walk.

Nagyon szuper hely, egy éjszaka itt alvás fantasztikus, távol a fő úttól rengeteg parkoló hely, van szemetes kuka, nagyon csendes és ami lényeg, hogy ingyenes. Jó idő töltést kívánok.

Great large car park very quiet free to park.

Great place to overnight on route to Wales. Fairly close to M4 and walking distance to Castle Combe, said to be prettiest village in England. Short drive to CC Racetrack. Some dog walkers in the early morning.

I found the drive in through actual castle comb tricky in a LWB from the A350. I would approach from the B430 road at the top end of Dunn's lane.

Great place to stopover, not far from M4 motorway. Bins, but no other amenities.

The carpark was completely empty apart from me on a Sunday night until someone arrived at 7:30 next morning am. Very quiet and extremely pleasant no facilities as such but a safe and secure car park

Had no bother excellent stars at night generic craicless pubs (with good food) picturesque village unchanged since 1660s

Very quiet place overnight, busy during the day, lovely village and pub.

Nous y avons dormi, nuit de tempête en UK, mais on était protégé, à côté de la haie. Effectivement, c'est indiqué interdit de cuisiner et dormir, mais il n'y a pas eu de problème (hors saison). Le village de Castle Combe vaut vraiment le coup.

Nice ample parking but there is a sign that states no sleeping or cooking. The council parking does get busy in the day, but noise is at a minimum overnight.

Super parking ! Accessible pour les gros camping-car (nous mesurons 10m de long3.70m de haut et 12Tonnes) nous avons également dormi. (Le 19.06.19) Pas un bruit, nuit très tranquille.

Stayed here overnight 10/6/19. Very quiet. No amenities. Open to elements, very windy and rainy the night we stayed.

Grand parking calme la nuit (j'y étais seule) bien que normalement interdit d'y dormir. Magnifique village de Castle Combe à 10 mns à pied, lieu de tournage du film "War horse", très mignon !
