Stayed here on the 21st Oct 23 on the way home from driving the NC500. Lovely picnic spot, very quiet at night, evening and morning, sees the usual dog walkers arriving and leaving. Waste bins located around the site. No road noise. Its amongst the trees, easy access but could be muddy following rainfall. Best suited for small to medium campervans, RV and motorhomes would have difficulty parking.

Good spot. Very quiet on a midweek november night.

Arrived at 2205, looks like a lovely place to spend the night. Parked up and as setting up bed another car appeared. Drove round the carpark & turned around & passed us, slowly edged forward infront of our car before reversing back. Single male got out of car & slowly walked back & forward infront of the car, then standing behind some bushes to the side of our car. Safe to say we promptly left

Great little spot for an overnight park up. Arrived around 9.30pm, no other vehicles there at all. Really quiet, no disruptions and felt safe. Lovely for a walk in the morning with our dog along to the river. Several cars arriving throughout the morning to walk their dogs but we headed off around 9am.

Fantastic stop if traveling along the M6 and need a stop. Very large car park. We pulled up at night and it was a bit eeary but a wonderful wake up. Lovely walk the for dogs in the morning along the river. There is a height barrier, but it was open, same as previous reviews. Bins etc. definitely recommend.

Amazing place to stop/stay. Pulled off the m6 to stop here to make dinner and walk the dogs before continuing south. Ended up staying overnight as so peaceful dinner in the outdoors with sunset and coffee in morning with sunrise. No restrictions for overnight stays. Is a height barrier but was fixed open all night. Stunning walks around the lake

Great place, nice for a overnight and little morning walk. Gets busy in the morning and there is a little noise from the highway.

Just arrived at this lovely site, so close to the M6 there's a slight sound from it but could also be the sea!!. Thank you.

Stayed on a Sunday night, no other vehicles. There's a height barrier (2m) but it wasn't closed overnight and no signs saying no overnight parking. Some motorway noise but didn't keep me awake. Picnic tables for breakfast too if it's fine!
