The place is really disgusting. I am not staying there. There is a garbage, but people still throw their litters everywhere...
Belle longue aire de repos au large de l'A1 sud. Pas trop de circulation dans l'aire de repos de jour comme de nuit. Nous avons réussi à nous mettre à niveau et avons bien dormi. Il y a une belle vue sur la campagne et la ligne de chemin de fer à Edimbourg. Nous avons aimé regarder les trains. Le signal téléphonique 4G était bon et il y avait des poubelles. Si nous sommes à nouveau de cette façon, nous utiliserons à nouveau. Aucune restriction de stationnement n'était évidente.
Nice long layby off the A1 south. Not too much traffic into the layby day or night. We managed to get level and had a good sleep. There is a nice view over the country side and the railway line to Edinburgh. We enjoyed watching the trains. The 4G phone signal was good and there was bins. If we are this way again we will use again. No parking restrictions were evident.
Schöner langer Aufenthalt an der A1 Süd. Tag und Nacht nicht zu viel Verkehr in die Raststätte. Wir haben es geschafft, gleichauf zu kommen und haben gut geschlafen. Es gibt einen schönen Blick über die Landschaft und die Bahnlinie nach Edinburgh. Wir haben es genossen, die Züge zu beobachten. Das 4G-Telefonsignal war gut und es gab Mülleimer. Wenn wir wieder so sind, werden wir es wieder verwenden. Es waren keine Parkbeschränkungen erkennbar.

WolfmanMick19/12/2021lovely long layby nobody else here when we pulled up though we wouldn't have seen anybody anyway as fog was that thick. Good nights sleep Better off parking either end as the middle near the bìn & bottle banks has a load of rubbish including a sofa in the hedges and along the edge. Can't understand why people don't take their rubbish home with them or at least use the bin.

As others have said, quite roomy, surprisingly quiet. Didn't hear the lorries leaving early morning. Handy enough stopover.

Stayed on a Monday night - surprisingly very quiet night given its proximity to road and rail. Slept well, pretty level. There is a lot of evidence of youths using it as a car meet place though (litter and burn out marks) so might be busy/noisy on weekends.
