The owner was very welcoming. We parked up at the rear of the pub on a Sunday night having previously booked in for a meal. The meal was excellent, not the cheapest, I paid £75 for a meal for 2 with drinks. We had a peaceful night and were able to empty our loo before we left the next morning. Access is down some fairly narrow lanes so best suited to van conversions in my opinion.

Stayed last night with my two girls and the dog, rang ahead to reserve a table for food and a camper spot, food was lovely, great little area for the kids outside with geese, chickens, ducks and rabbits. Quiet nights stay with lovely food served in the pub. Great little place.

Nice quiet location, good walks, and very dog friendly. Some nice beers, and friendly staff who made a lot of fuss of our dog.

Great peaceful stopover. Great food, ale and hospitality. Booking to eat required for a free camping spot. Highly recommend.

Good stopover, free if eating in the pub, which we did. Staff very friendly and helpful, food was very good but spoiled a little by undercooked veg! The bays for motorhomes are a little narrow. If approaching from the East, beware of Sat nav taking you along a very narrow, twisting country lane with few passing places.

Stayed here in Nov and again on Christmas Eve. Amazing food in the pub and a fantastic stopover. It’s quiet and a great location for our hikes in the high peaks. Highly recommended!

brilliant location and plenty for kids to see and do. food was fantastic. we asked about payment and the landlord said all he asked for was us to purchase food and drink. well worth a visit.

We had a lovely stay. - there was a party taking place on the area outside the pub, with a band so the car parks/ pub were quite busy - but the landlady was still happy for us the stay over. The chefs made us some gorgeous vegan dishes and the staff were so friendly Dog / kid friendly too I would definitely recommend this place A secluded gem

Absolutely perfect place to stay. The pub serves the most incredible food, it's full of happy dogs, kids and families and is such a lovely cosy place. Outside there is a lovely astro turf place to sit on benches by a stream full of ducks, geese and chickens, very wholesome. Lots of stuff for the kids like play areas. The car park for campers is quiet, private, clean and has a wonderful view!

stayed here last night for one night stopover. wish we could have stayed longer. the owners have made us so welcome. there is a dedicated motorhome area around the back complete with black water waste and drinking water. the pub itself is superb. there is a children's area, the meals are extremely good at around £16 a head. Well worth a visit.

Amazing pub, lovely owners and such a lovely, idyllic place for a stop over. We ended up in the front car park rather than the camper field but it was quiet, perfect and next to the stream. Gorgeous food and toilets open from 8am which was ideal. Loved this place. Would defo go back
