A beautiful quiet parking on the 'official' darkest spot of Scotland. Perfect for stargazing on a clear night. Does get a bit chilly.
Ein wunderschöner Parkplatz am "offiziellen" dunkelsten Fleck Schottlands. Perfekt für die Sternenbeobachtung in einer klaren Nacht. Wird etwas kühl.

lovely quiet spot. beautiful walk around the scalan. was really looking forward to experiencing the dark skies. there's a sign that says to turn off your lights to enjoy the stars but unfortunately some people in a French motor home stopped here and left their very bright outside lights on all night.... if your going to stay here be considerate of people that may want to enjoy the stars
Lovely place to stop. Spaces level and it was very quiet. 2 other campers stopped as well. Plenty of great walks around the area from parking including to the fascinating hidden Scalan.Saw a pine marten in the early hours whilst we were stargazing.
fantastische plek, zeer rustig, de nabij gelegen boer kwam even praatje maken onderweg naar de berg om z'n schapen te controleren, als je er bent loop dan 800m verder naar hetmuseum,, een geheime missipost,, er woont niemand maar alles is open en toegankelijk, echt een extra kadootje..
Wunderbar ruhig und eben, dazu schöne Aussicht auf die umliegenden Hügel!
