Walltown Country Park se trouve sur la ligne du mur d'Hadrien. Beaucoup d'endroits à visiter. Randonnée le long du mur d'Hadrien. Marche des ruines du château de Thirlwall. Promenade paisible dans le labyrinthe de la paix. Promenades pittoresques, bois et prairies. Marche jusqu'au musée de l'armée romaine. Les toilettes et les installations pour handicapés sont ouvertes 24h/24. Boutique sur place aux heures d'ouverture de jour. Service de bus. Poubelles et tables de pique-nique fournies. Les feux de camp, jetables et barbecues sont interdits. Ceci n'est pas un camping. Great spot, stayed 2 nights, super quiet. Toilets open, clean. Even found the dish washing sink had hot water.. office closed for winter..payment by card at ticket machine

Stopped last night, woke to a beautiful sunny day, only the lady in the visitor centre said there was no overnight parking allowed. Politely challenged the fact that the machine clearly says overnight charges, so you’ll have to make you’re own mind up about it. She did state that it wasn’t policed, so wonder if it’s a lots of something over nothing. I’ll be staying tonight too. Three stars because of that incident, but 5 stars for location.
patricma102/09/2023Great place to stop £10 for overnight with toilets 24hrs lovely walks and a cafe open in the day. did the museums and ruins nearby and enjoyed it so much, decided to stay another night, only us in the car park.

Parfait, Nous sommes arrivés tôt le matin vers 5 h, départ pour une randonnée pour le mur d'Hadrien fabuleuse, le visitor center est sympa et le carrot cake vendu très bon. Toilettes à disposition même si le visitor center est fermé.

Loads of space. Lots of walks to Hadrians Wall etc. 24 he toilets. Sink for washing up. Paid £10 for overnight. Very quiet. LOTS OF STARS on a clear night !!

Have stayed here several times after a days climbing at Crag Lough. Always nice and quiet and very pleasant.

Ranger gesproken. Officieel niet toegestaan om hier te overnachten maar als je betaald hebt zullen ze je nooit wegsturen. Zeer rustige plek.

We were informed (thankfully before payment), you are not allowed to.stay in your vehicle here overnight. The facilities are for parking only. Some may risk it however we did not.

Came early afternoon. Spoke to chap in shop. Payed £10 for the parking ticket which took us up to 6am. Purchased a day ticket. Rangers came to spot check regularly. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, hiking parts of Hadrians Wall & walking the Peace Labyrinth. Our evening was rocky with the winds & we slept perfectly. After walking this am went to the shop for coffee & the delicious fudge.
