Beautiful quiet place on the water. There are no prohibition signs, you are only asked to behave properly. There is a walking path along the water and people come here to walk their dogs. Very quiet alone surrounded by countless birds. Parking lot is flat and hard, so suitable if it's raining.

Perfect quiet spot next to the river, got it all to ourselves. Just short drive from Sanqhuar high street which has plenty of shops, pubs n takeaways - but feels totally out in the wilds and not overlooked at all. Highly recommend.

The surrounding fields had probably just been manured. The whole area stank! There was a replica Travellers’ horse-drawn with an open fire and two vans parked. It seemed like a public park for the locals with families strolling. I would have felt obtrusive. I didn’t stay. It took 10 miles of driving before I got rid of the stink. I obviously arrived on a bad day!

Easy access, very beautiful, very quiet and close to the village with services, shops and free (but not very clean) toilets. Great place to sleep on the way to Arran.

I stopped for lunch as I was passing through and have stayed overnight previously. It's on a very quiet road with only the occasional car passing. there is a toilet block just under half a mile away at the end of Queens Road at Queens Road Parking but I'm not sure of opening hours. Perfect stopover if you have a dog.

Stopped here for one night in the rain. Hard standing was a bonus. The best way to reach the night stop is to stay on the main road and turn left just before the garage sign posted Blackaddie House Hotel. Then left after the hotel and immediately before the bridge. parking is on the right. Our sat Nov took us through an housing estate.
