Le fermier est descendu pour percevoir les frais de stationnement.
C'est un bel endroit si quelqu'un est intéressé. Pas d'installations autres que la nature, évidemment.

Semer Water Beautiful spot hemmed in by hills and with a fairly large lake you can swim in or canoe.

The farmer came down to collect parking charge.
It is a beautiful spot if anyone is interested. No facilities other than nature, obviously.

Der Bauer kam herunter, um die Parkgebühr zu kassieren.
Es ist ein wunderschöner Ort, falls es jemanden interessiert. Offensichtlich keine anderen Einrichtungen als die Natur.

Beautiful views, no signal at all, which was great. Passed farmers house (didn’t pre-book) book of slips on gate, filled out & placed fee in box provided. Farmer came evening, then morning but didn’t bother us, as already paid. Few swimmers on lake. Geese came early hours to lake & stayed a few hours, they were load & annoying! However, still 5 stars as this can’t be helped & not farmers fault.

  • 5/5

NOT HOME FARM, it is Low Blean Farm. Overnight parking, fishing, water sports. No signal, no BBQs, (only gas), no fires. 25% gradient in/out. Large, clearly written signage for tickets. Take cash. The farmer was pleasant enough! Peaceful, idyllic spot. Perfect for swimming and sunsets. Stunning views of the lake and surrounding hills. Can get busy. We'll be back!

  • 5/5

Fantastic place to stay. We liked that there was no service/internet and to get back to basics. We hope to stay in the future. Thank you to the lady who bobbed down to make sure we’d got everything. I.e. our envelope with ticket in.

  • 4/5

Stunning place to camp for the night. We booked in advance via email, £9 for 2 adults and our small campervan. We parked right on the lake front with gorgeous views of the sunset. No toilet facilities so be prepared for that. We dealt with the farmer's wife who was lovely and very helpful. They advise you to have insurance, life jackets for using the lake. Small charge. We'll be staying again!

Stayed here for 2 nights - Saturday & Sunday night. Arrived late on, so took us a while to find the farmers gate. If you’re coming from the bridge end, the gate is just up the road, past the car park. Easy enough to find a place to park at 10pm. Although, be warned, if it’s a sunny day on a weekend then it gets very busy with day parkers. Some not so considerate of campers. Didn’t see said grumpy farmer till Monday before leaving - he was understandably cross with some people for not paying for parking on his land but no problems with us ?. Would recommend if you’re into paddling boarding etc, but wouldn’t go on a weekend if you’re looking for a quiet getaway.

  • 5/5

Stayed for one night, phoned ahead and booked on with the Farmer. From reading some of the reviews I was prepped in advance for the mean farmer! I found him a lovely fella, chatted to him when paying at the gate as well. His wife is really again friendly. The park up is just breathtaking, so beautiful and unspoilt. No reception. Can’t recommend this spot enough.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot to park overnight. No fires allowed and no signal. Very peaceful and nothing else around. £3 pp £3 per night, +£1 randomly for the car. Gravelly so can’t put up a windbreak. Place to pay is 5 min walk from the carpark, turn right. No bins so must take rubbish with you, and must bring a bucket for your toilet. Lots of people fishing around and lots of animal noises to wake up to.

  • 5/5

    great views, would stay again

  • 5/5

Really loved this place! We emailed and booked in advance. It was £3 per vehicle and £3 pp per night, so £9 for us a couple in total. The owners left an envelope on the farm gate (just before the spot to park on the right, on the way down) and you take the info and leave your payment. There were other vans and campers and everyone was so quiet and chill. Overall beautiful spot

  • 5/5

Absolutely Beautiful Place, Really peaceful, locals lovely. If you need to cut off from the world for a bit an just be with your thoughts then I'd recommend this. Take what you need though, there's nothing for Miles...... No hassle sorting it out either the owner was very clear with instructions and doesn't bother you. we'll be back in summer with a paddle board :)

  • 4/5

Beautiful scenery but beware if it rains a lot - the water rises up the shingle beach and you might get wet feet!! No phone or tv signal so book before you go! . Paid for the night as per the instructions on the car park £3 for motorhome and £3 per person. When the farmer came round early evening he said you need to book in advance

  • 4/5

camping "sauvage", très populaire pour les gens du coin. très belle vue au bord du lac, belle balade autour du lac. prix: 3£/nuit par véhicule 3£ par personne attention: pas de réseau telephone ou data!

  • 5/5

wow for wildcamping experience you can't beat it ...absolutely no amenities...we avoided the main carpark in favour of a pitch near a lovely little humpback bridge...the views are incredible.. Great for paddle boarding...I would pre book if possible and get there early ...

  • 5/5

Wow, what a beautiful spot. Very quiet night with nature and just two other vans. Found the farmer to be friendly and we will visit again!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

scenery was beautiful what a great stop for the night would definitely book next time farmer was lovely very dark and quite on night watched wild swimmers this morning was cold excellent

  • 5/5

Pre-booked as advised in comments and paid using the interesting 'envelope taped to the gate' system. Very quiet and tranquil, even with other campers there. Stayed one night and will stay again. No phone signal which was bliss.

  • 5/5

Turned up without booking, farmer was fine and let us stay, told us of people causing trouble, not paying and leaving rubbish, Stayed 2 nights and will definitely return, someone let off fireworks on 2nd night, farmer was very quick to attend and kick them off site, as farm animals are all around. Can’t fault the guy.

  • 5/5

Beautiful views and great walks nearby. Called the day before and ticket and instructions were stuck to the farm gate ready to pick up and put payment in a box. Even on a Saturday night in August with several other vans, there was plenty room/views for us all.

  • 3/5

A lovely location unfortunately spoilt by a rude farmer that you cannot please. If you decide to go here, you really must pre book otherwise you are in for a dressing down. The farmers wife is nicer. We are polite and respectful people but were made to feel very unwelcome by him.

  • 5/5

Really nice spot to stay and swim, SUP etc. £3 per vehicle plus £3 per person. No faculties but definitely worth it to be parked up on the lake shore. Amazing swim and SUP in the morning before we left. Best to ring before hand so the owner can get your ticket ready for you. Found the number via google maps. Search for Semer Water Camping

  • 5/5

Spent two nights with friends, had an amazing time very quiet with stunning views, spent all day in the water and enjoyed every minute. definitely worth the £9 per night. we'll definitely be back.

  • 5/5

Superb. £3 per person plus £3 for the vehicle. Spent a very peaceful evening and night.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot in the Yorkshire Dales. Site is basic - there are no facilities - but the view and surroundings make this an amazing spot. £9 for an over night stay. £3 to park all day.

  • 5/5

Amazing place. stayed 2 nights, very quiet, no signal... just heaven we'll return for sure

  • 5/5

Stayed for two nights and dealt with the farmers wife who was very helpful and welcoming and even gave us a little map of the surrounding area. Nice views and quiet location. Would definitely return.

  • 5/5

Absolutely lovely spot, so peaceful. Nice walk around the lake but if yr staying during the day its best to move yr van to the back of the car park to allow boat and fishing people access. During the late afternoon/evening park on the shore for the most fantastic views. £3 per person plus £3 per vehicle. Dogs on leads welcome. ring ahead, they have an easy booking in system

  • 5/5

Beautiful location nice and quiet We paid £6 a night. Lot better than Lake District very quiet Place

  • 5/5

What an absolute gem of a place. we went for a wonderful walk round the lake and enjoyed the peace and tranquility at night. Fantastic for walking the dogs and nice to see everyone kept them on leads. Will definitely come back here again. Only £9 for the night.

  • 5/5

Fantastic views a real chill out area. stayed for two nights. you need to book ahead, collect your ticket and pay at the farm yard gate honesty box. £3 person £3 van per night.

  • 5/5

Amazing, really friendly lady, stunning views, respectful and litter free! great for a lake swim!

  • 5/5

Lovely place been a couple of times stayed over 2 adults & a van is £9 per night. Great for Paddle boarding & wild swimming. Lady from the farm is lovely, said they had had issues with people not paying & starting fires in the past. No phone signal & literally nothing there but the place is lush.

  • 5/5

Stayed on Tuesday night didnt book and didn't see any farmer. Few other campers there but very quiet. Absolutely beautiful spot to wake up to. Definitely would stay again

  • 3/5

Stayed here for one night last night. Didn’t book, just turned up at the farm building. Guy was weird. Got offended when I said “hi mate”. Said we had to book in advance but then let us stay anyway. Was also annoyed with people who had booked but not arrived. Paid £9 (£3pp and £3 for vehicle). Beautiful spot to stay the night, nice and quiet. Well worth the stay if you’re willing to have the awkward encounter with the farmer.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot now reopen. New charges - £3 per person, plus £3 per van plus extra for day parking. Owner says must phone ahead to book. Car park can be flooded when water is high. Very quiet at night but car park was mobbed from about 10am with people wanting to bring boats on the water and to swim. . Can be midgey.

  • 1/5

We arrived here 11/7/20 and you cannot park here. It is now roped off with notices saying No Parking.

  • 5/5

Pulled up late at night, pitch black and raining, only people there. Still the farmer knocked on our door, asking why we hadn't come to pay yet. Lovely place and quiet, no toilets, no phone signal........but pay the farmer £5-10

  • 5/5

10/10 for location alone!! no facilities but that was fine for us. £5 for windsurfing £4 canoe/SUP call at farm before you pitch or as soon as you have. Lovely walk to Bainbridge for the pub! no phone signal on site so need to walk up the rive to get a signal if needed.

  • 3/5

Stayed here for one nights with my wife and our dog. Had a good stay, verry friendly host's who love to tell abouth the area. No facilities and a little bith pricy 8£ (but its private we understand).

  • 5/5

Very quiet and peaceful, only cost me £5 for the night for my van. I turned up quite late around 9pm and the guy was there on his quad so just instructed me to walk up to the farmhouse over the hill to pay. A fair price for a nice quiet car park. No services, no toilets, no phone signal, just peace, quiet and the sound of the lake!

  • 5/5

Had a great night (£8) make sure you have mozzie repellent. very peaceful dogs loved it

  • 5/5

No signal. No amenities. Just pure relaxation. Lovely walk around the lake, the longer is more dog accessible. Farmer seems grumpy, think you just have to know how to take him. Enjoyed ourselves alot. Will be back!

  • 5/5

Paid £7 for a 6.7m moho. Fantasic view to wake up to. Quite a few midges. We will return and wish we had stayed another night instead of going to lake district which was totally packed.

  • 5/5

Absolutely stunning surroundings. We stayed here for two nights. Friendly farmer calls to collect small payment for staying on his land. He was telling us that someone had posted on the internet that if you come late and leave early you can avoid payment and someone did that whilst we were there. Don't spoil it for others. It's his land and he's generous enough to share it.

  • 4/5

We stayed one night, paid 6£ for the three of us and our defender. Nice and quiet place by the lake. Caution, when heavy rain do not park too close to the lake (stay on the furthest beach and only on the grass)!

  • 4/5

Stayed for one night, very quiet and nice place by the lake. Caution when heavy rain, don’t park too close to the water (stay on grass). We paid £6 for our defender

  • 5/5

Stunning spot, stayed 1 night after a good 5 mile walk around the water. We got charged £8 for the night for a 7mtr Motorhome, well worth it for the stunning views! Water was lovely & warm if you fancy a dip?

  • 5/5

Lovely spot, was up there early May for a night. Cost £6 for the night, you can pay a bit more to stay during the day time too (£1.80 I think) Quite and picturesque, no 3G though
