Stayed here during winter (2-3 Jan) and had no problems, although knowing the New Forest, you can be almost certain the opposite to be the case in summer. No facilities so bring everything you need. Good spot for a one nighter...except just a little awkward to get to directly from the A31 if you're looking for a quick rest stop. Views are worth it!

lovely views arrived at night so was suprised in the morning, good nights sleep not to busy. However was approached by park ranger in the morning very politely and told camping is not allowed apart from private sites and while it isn't mentioned on signs they don't like gas stoves. Stay at own risk but for a one off every now and then you could get away with it. just keep Stoves in the van.
