The listing takes you to the Ridgeway walk/byway. If you continue up the steep hill, at the top on the right is a level surface park for Barbury castle hill fort with over 20 spaces and unrivaled views over swindon. Sign says gates locked at 9pm but no signs forbidding overnight. Toilet block closed, but picnic tables and seats. Good 4g
Yobs congregating here in the evening spoilt an otherwise nice spot. I wouldn't return
June 2023. Perfect lane to stay for a night. Lovely views at both sunset & sunrise. Have spent a handful of undisturbed nights here, generally shared with one or two other vans but sometimes completely quiet. The car park can get noisy around dusk but soon settles down as the sun sets.
The actual place listed is quite small but the track itself is decent. It is on the Ridgeway, a road which has been in use for more than 5000 years and close to Barbury Castle an Iron Age fort. It's worth the short walk up the hill to have a look and take in the views.
Gravel car park was a little close to the road for my liking so parked up on the byway, there is no specific parking places along the route but a few viable spots, the best one closer to the car park was taken so had a little bit of a lean on in my spot but not too bad, can get far enough across to not block the roadway

Il n'y a pas de place spécifique pour se garer, nous nous sommes mis sur le bord du chemin (le camion ne doit pas être trop large). Très peu de passage sur ce chemin de gravillons, beaucoup de promeneurs car c'est dans la région des crop circles
