    Wunderschöner Platz ohne Handyempfang.

  • 5/5

Beautiful place. Only 1 hour to walk to Sycamore Gap and an hour back. Via the wall & see more views. £10 a night still. We will be back.

On était 8 camping-car. Nuit très calme.

  • 5/5

Stayed last night. 4 vans in the car park. Excellent value for money with toilets and even a coffee van in the car park. Really quiet with great views and easy access to Hadrians Wall

  • 5/5

Endroit parfait paradisiaque !

  • 5/5

Brilliant park up with stunning views, paid £10 at 5pm on Saturday and the ticket was good until 11.59pm on Sunday. It was a quiet night, we got a good night's sleep. The toilets were ok when we arrived they'd obviously been well used, but cleaned in the morning. Nice walks beside the wall, I'd stay again no problem.

    water tap turned off.

  • 5/5

What more could you want from a car park (£10) flat and almost level, sheltered from most of the wind. A little muddy (hardcore dust) underfoot. We parked in the far corner the to the entrance and apart from locals walking their dogs we had no disturbance. Chatted with the Park Warden a while as he was checking for tickets. The acid test is would we stay again, yes we would, no problem. David

  • 3/5

Nice place, but there is a „No overnight parking“ sign at the entrance to the carpark. I asked a nationalpark ranger, who was on side, about the sign and the spezial night-parking fee. He told me, that this fee ist for the people who came for looking to for the stars because this area is a dark sky area. And this people came for a part of the night. But sleeping in an car or camper isn‘t allowed.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot. We didnt stay overnight but there was an outside water tap so we were able to fill up. disabled toilet has a shower if you have a radar key.

  • 3/5

Expensive for the night £10 and that only covers 2200-0600. there are no overnight signs as they are the generic ones hadrian wall users however you'll notice this is the only car park on the wall that has an overnight charge on the signage.... all the others say no overnight on the charge board. so it's one of the few places to stay easily on the wall! toilets 24hrs is nice though!

  • 5/5

Great place. Super quiet. Clean toilets. Turned up at 5 and got £10 until midnight the next day so managed a lovely walk in the price :)

  • 4/5

lovely stop off for breakfast on travels along Hadrians wall. Good views and nice stopping place £1 an hour with toilets available. Not sure about nightspot as just parked for a couple of hours.

  • 3/5

A beautiful spot by the water but we didn't stay the night. CCTV in operation overnight parking is 22.00 to 6.00. We paid for an hour and enjoyed dinner but left to find a better place. Toilets and water. Parking charge goes towards the Park which is great. So a lovely spot but not for the night.

  • 5/5

Beautiful place to stay! Very quiet and safe feeling.

  • 4/5

On Hadrian's wall, pretty area, busy during the day but we were the only van at night. Very quiet although some lads on tractors turned up and perform ed a couple of doughnuts on the carpark. left after 2 mins so not an issue. £10 overnight via pay and display. toilets open.

  • 3/5

No phone signal so we left, nice spot tho

  • 5/5

Stayed last night with 3 other vans. Toilets open but shower in disabled toilet needs ‘radar’ key. £10 for the night and ranger had no issues in the morning with vans having been here overnight. Strongly recommended.

  • 4/5

Lovely new toilet block and large gravel parking. Minor slippage. New overnight parking charges but perfect for walking both ways. We stayed one night and walked both ways

  • 4/5

Great location. Sign says no overnight camping but allows overnight parking. 24hr toilets and water. Had local shake her head at us but otherwise a great stay, definitely good if you want to see stars and have a telescope.

  • 5/5

Stayed here a few times brilliant spot with a wood fired pizza oven to use which is handy there’s a shower in the disabled toilet and some lovely walks in the area is a dark sky’s status so brilliant for star gazing ✨

  • 5/5

Brilliant location, I've just stayed here for two night and it was great. It does say no overnight camping however it allows you to pay for overnight. I also spoke to the Ranger who said they didn't mind as long as people paid and cleaned up. Toilets were great and were cleaned each morning by 9am. There is also picnic benches around.

  • 5/5

Nice spot if you require toilets (super clean) nice area and a nice view! Perfect for family’s in camper vans!

  • 5/5

Should be £10 pn, but machine was out of order with a sign. Parked up at around 8pm on May 15th with just two other campers there. Expected it to be a lot busy, particularly in the morning (just a couple of friendly dog walkers) as it’s right on the Hadrian’s wall route (literally used to go through the old quarry itself). Loads of places to park up on solid flat ground and ideal access point for hiking Hadrian’s wall. Good clean toilet facilities and water tap, and also a covered seating area perfect for sheltering and a few picnic benches looking over the quarry. 10/10 will definitely be back here!!

  • 5/5

Good clean facilities, bins, toilet and ability to fill up with water, very quiet, as everyone says £10 for 24hrs.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot. Quiet night. £10 parking fee until midnight the following night.

  • 5/5

Stayed one night, arrived at 10 ish and there was one other van. Felt very safe. Amazing surroundings to wake up to! Lovely clean facilities. It wasn't windy on our visit but the area looks like it would be protected from the worst if it was a windy night.

  • 5/5

Arrived around 19:00 on a Saturday evening. couple of other vans there. Nice quiet stopover. £10 overnight parking controlled by meter which takes card only.

  • 5/5

Lovely location with small lake and new toilet block, with an external tap to fill up your water. Very quiet, will definitely come back

  • 5/5

Beautiful location right at Cawfield Quarry where part of Hadrians wall runs. Old quarry is now a lake. Overnight parking is allowed. Very quiet and very dark at night. Lots of hillwalkers and tourists throughout the morning. Toilets open 24/7

  • 5/5

Night time parking is now allowed. There is an old sign on the gate saying no overnight parking. But the new looking machine says £10 for overnight parking between 2200 and 0600. We bought our ticket at about 5pm and stayed all night for total of £10. Great location, very nice and quiet, only one other camper. Quite a nice little find and well worth a diversion to stay the night.

  • 5/5

Gorgeous quiet remote location right next to Hadrian’s Wall. £10 overnight (2200-0600); £1 per hour the rest of the time. Ranger did come past quite early in the morning (even on a Sunday morning!) to empty bins and check the area so don’t think you can get away without paying! Machine accepts coins and cards. Toilets open all night. 3G/4G signal a bit patchy, unless you climb to the top of the hill!

  • 5/5

Très belle vue, tables de pique-nique

  • 5/5
