Ottimo parcheggio, trovato completamente vuoto quindi massima tranquillità. Ci sono anche le panche se si vuole mangiare all'aperto. Il navigatore di ha fatto passare per una stradina strettissima tra la chiesa e il cimitero ma presumo ci si arrivi anche dalla strada grande.

Lovely view and quiet. Nearby dog barks at any movement, so a useful alarm! Steep approach from the hospital, but very narrow from the church. Plenty of room for a 10m RV.

This is a small relatively flat tarmac parking area in front of the Scouts Den over-looking the river and lower carpark with NO dedicated motorhome parking spaces. There are 2 picnic tables on the small narrow green. There are no bins or services. There are outdoor toilets at the back of the church that were closed with a sign saying they are only open during mass times. The parking is suitable for really large motorhomes or motorhomes with trailers. Take the entrance to chapel lane road at St. Columba’s Hospital side as the other side of chapel lane is very narrow. Pros: Free parking. Toilets behind the church open during mass times. Very quiet away from main road. 7km walking/running loop down by the river. Cons: None We spent 1 very quiet night here. Early evening, the area got very busy with kids going to the Scout Den. Later a few single cars parked here for a while but other than that it was very quiet. The next morning we moved to the lower carpark and went for a run around the 7km Grennan loop, by the river, through the forest and back a quiet country road. The signage from the village was none-existent and we had to ask in a shop for direction. Tip is to follow the signs to the GAA club and cross the stile towards the river. Follow the red arrows from there back to the town/carpark. The large lower carpark is free and flat with NO dedicated parking for motorhomes. All spaces are for cars. There are some places for a large overhang but it's possible to get stuck if people park both sides of you. The carpark was very busy and almost full on the Friday we left. The town has a Lidl and SuperValu both located on the Dublin road. Some takeaways were open in the evening. This is a lovely very clean town and pre covid19 was probably a great place for a pint and some craic. Bugs/Mosquitoes. (They love us..) Some moths and small black flies like fruit flies.

On s'est mis sur le grand parking plus bas en bord de route et rivière. Calme et bien plat sans passage la nuit. Possibilité réception satellite. Centre village à 200 m.
