Great stop over for somewhere to cook and rest before continuing, possibly a little too busy with other dog walkers, not sure what it would be like to overnight here though. Definitely worth going and finding the remnants of the WW2 airfield though.

Arrived late evening, no others vehicles around except a car that pulled in a for a few mins and then left. Bit noisy from the road but otherwise good.

I’ve never stayed in this park up, I used to live locally and walk my dog in the area. Just a warning to all, drug dealers do business here and I’ve had my car window smashed in before. Fine if you’re staying in your vehicle, but not a good idea if you’re intending to go for a walk. Car park feels peaceful though.

A quiet place to spend the night. No services here but walls for you and the dog. Fuel station on the way.

Good for a stopover if traveling in the A1. Probably one of the best overnight spots around the region. Note that is very muddy in the winter.

Einfacher Parkplatz im Wald ohne alles. Reiner Schlafstopp auf der Durchreise über die A1.

Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise war es okay, allerdings aufgrund der Nähe zur Straße sehr laut. Ein Schild warnt auch vor Dieben. Am Morgen war der Parkplatz dann gut besucht und viele Hundebesitzer unterwegs.

Great for a quick stop if you're traveling the A1 or for an overnighter. Right in the forest. Bit noisy from the main road.

Great place to stop and walk you’re dogs. Woodland surrounding a disused airfield left over from WW2

Typical of what England has to offer! Forestry carpark....BUT too close to road with heavy traffic and over frequented by dog owners for walks. Result = too busy and noisy for sleeping. Worse night I've had for a long while.... give me the Continent any day!

Schöner ruhiger Waldparkplatz trotz der Nähe zur A1. Idealer Startpunkt für einen Waldspaziergang. Ist am Morgen auch bei Hundebesitzern sehr beliebt.

Spent a dark November night here. Not sure at first as a few cars coming and going but ok. Would be a very good stop in summer months though. Plenty of dog walkers through the day.

The advice on water tap at the truck stop was much appreciated. It's very hard to find a water supply here in Britain other than on campsites, so this is very useful. I shall try other truck stops.

Schöner Parkplatz am Wald. Uns war es aber zu laut (A1 M), deshalb sind wir weiter gefahren.

Lloc perfecte. Tranquil. A prop de la carretera principal. És l'entrada d'un bosc i s'hi pot fer un passeig ben bonic.

Pratique sur la route entre Cambridge et Edinburgh. Pas si bruyant et le bois autour c'est sympa.

Très pratique. À proximité de la A1. Parking plat en forêt. Robinet à eau accessible sur la station, service camion.

Really lovely and quite quiet. Well worth the detour from the A1. No services here but they are advertised at a garage near the A1 junction. Some lovely walks in the woods.
