nice spot in the day and quiet at night. definitely has a lot of doggers but they leave you alone and park up the other side keeping quiet. when it gets to 1am they're not so kind so you'll have likely wake up a lot

Might be best to avoid if you have children. I arrived late on a Tuesday night (12.30ish) and the car park was very busy with single people sitting in their cars, who kept changing where they parked to be next to different cars. They kept flashing the car headlights & I decided I didn’t want to decipher what this meant. I locked the doors, put the blinds up and wasn’t distributed.

Stayed here in a Saturday night, the car park was pretty busy with people coming and going untill about 12:30 but no trouble, slept fine two motor homes on the car park the same night aswell

Not recommended if you actually want to sleep. It is a busy meeting point and traffic in and out all night long. I would avoid this place after dark.

Pulled up here late, around 11ish and there was various cars in the car park with 1 person in so parked at the other end. Obviously lots of cars coming in and out for quite a while, Saturday must be a big dogging night! But slept fine and not disturbed and had lovely walk along the Moor in the morning.

(06188) Reitanlage Birkenhof Oppin

The RV parking space is in a very idyllic, quiet location right next to a horse farm (Birkenhof Oppin riding facility). It was newly set up in April 2024 and is open from April to October. You can relax very well on the well-kept lawn in the middle of nature, but only about 3 km from the motorway. There is also a truck stop nearby. Dogs are allowed, but please keep them on a leash. Electricity is available from the machine, water and garbage disposal are still being set up. The parking fee is to be paid in cash at the ticket office. We wish you a relaxing stay.

Motorhome parking space directly on the Ems and the Ems cycle path. Free WiFi. Gravel pitches with lawns, also suitable for large motorhomes. Fresh water supply, grey water and toilet disposal. Sanitary facilities with showers. Reservations not possible. Only for motorhomes!
