Its £3.50 all day but no overnight parking. Large parking area for coaches, motorhomes and cars. Public toilet also available in the area but it was closed when we visit the area (End of March). 3 min walk to John O'Groats Signpost (150m)

  • 3/5

Extrem voll und eher für kleine Womos. Sind nicht geblieben.

  • 4/5

£3 to park for the day. There are parking meters which require 3 £1 coins. Or pay by card in the tourist office. The car park is slightly sloping but you can’t park here overnight anyway, so no worries on that score! Best fish and chips ever mmmm! £8.50 and worth every chip. Take ‘the photo’, walk the walk and enjoy the area, we did.

  • 5/5

Lots of day time parking and it’s only £3 for all day parking mechanics was not working but could pay in the post office no problems, NO OVER NIGHT PARKING

  • 1/5

No longer able to park overnight in the car park see photo but there is a lovely eco site 7 mins down the road with heat showers & toilet very welcoming at Ferry View along the A836 just past the gills bay ferry terminal

  • 1/5

  • 2/5

No overnight parking. And they control it.

  • 3/5

Spectacular scenery. New signs went up last night £3 to park and no overnight parking.

  • 2/5

Stayed here 03/07/22. Was a quiet spot, and sea view hotel was nice and dog friendly, didn't eat but food looked good. Toilets closed 1900 til 0730, don't know what you pay the 50p for as the toilets were disgusting and no toilet paper in 2 of the cubicles, my partner said the women's was the same. £4 to stay in carpark (£2 per calendar day) which was sloped.

  • 4/5

We thought toilets were clean compared to many along the route. No amenities all the cafes and shops etc all close very early but good stop off Paid £4.20 via the parking app

  • 5/5

Great stop over. honestly box inside the shop. Great bar which serves food on site.

  • 5/5

Well lit car park, very quiet with clean public toilets. Ideal for the ferry in the morning.

  • 5/5

Please note, the £2 car parking charge seems to be mandatory now. However, you can pay by the RingGo app and proceeds are being used to rejuvenate the site. All good.

Arrived late on our December NC500 trip. Plenty of space and in a great location but that's about it. Toilets cost 40p and are reminiscent of the toilets in trainspotting, shit splattered everywhere!

  • 1/5

Obviously very busy as a tourist attraction. 40p to use the loos - no issue with paying for facilities. However, they were pretty grim with blood and excreta smeared up the walls. Then I couldn’t escape and had to climb over the turnstile to get out. We moved on and would not recommend!

  • 3/5

    Good for one night!

  • 3/5

We arrived at 2pm and were surprised to get a space (we’re 9m long). Decided to stay overnight, car park pretty quiet by 8pm with only a handful of other motorhomes or campers. Toilets shut at 8pm (ish). Seaview hotel 5 mins walk away is dog friendly and have lovely staff there too.

  • 5/5

Perfect for what we wanted. Big spaces for the van, amazing views, and it's free! Toilets open in the morning. Lots of other campers around to keep us company.

  • 2/5

Voluntary £2 donation to park. Public toilets not open all night. Very sloped and very busy car park as it's a big attraction, so lots of cars coming in and out.

  • 3/5

As a place to park up for the night it is fine, although on a bit of a slope. public toilets aren't open over night and when went to use them in the morning, the lady responsible refused to open them until all the campervans had dispersed. sadly, as a tourist hot spot, more vans kept turning up, the woman still refused, ended up moving on elsewhere.

  • 5/5

Would really recommend staying here. Did the NC500 and was amazing to see the sun rise at John O Groats. There is a £2 voluntary donation fee if you want to pay, toilets closed at 8pm and opened at 9ish in the morning. Plenty of cafe options if you want, couple of other campers joined us so felt safe and parked at the back of the car park to keep out the wind.

  • 4/5

Lovely little spot! Very busy but lots of space. Toilets seemed to be closed for the entirety of our stay. Left at 11 am on a Wednesday and they were still closed. Lovely area and beautiful hotspot!

  • 1/5

Five motorhomes parked here tonight. Cleaner stood by toilets and refused to open them until until motorhomes had gone !!! This was 9.30 and more are turning up she’s still refusing. Even people in cars are not allowed to use them. The mess in the toilets were there before we arrived so was clearly daytime use nothing to do with motorhomes.

  • 4/5

Lots of others stayed here with us. A bit sloppy but surprisingly quite for being the summer holidays. Great views. Toilets don’t open till about 8am in the morning and the cafe doesn’t open Monday or Tuesday.

  • 5/5

Great places to stay, lots of other campers joined us so it felt very safe. £2 to be paid, the machine only accepts coins otherwise you can pay via the RingGo app (easier to pay for 2 day so not need to wake up for a new ticket at midnight!)

  • 5/5

Good night spent here. Quite a few others in campers joined too. £2 to be paid then another ticket to be got again at midnight.

  • 5/5

Excellent stop over. not flat so need leveling ramps. toilets were locked over night. 12 motorhomes stayed there last night with loads of room.

  • 5/5

Great nights sleep in our makeshift ‘camper’, quiet night only 8 campers in total in the car park. Toilets not open all night, closed around 8 pm last night. Car noise from around 6-6:30.

  • 4/5

Practical location if you want to be in John o’groats first thing in the morning. We had a lovely clear view at 7am. Surprisingly quite stop. Everything closes at 6pm so don’t expect to be able to find food or toilets after this time. Toilets are no longer open at night due to campervan owners disposing chemical toilets there. Please don’t do this anywhere as this ruins it for everyone else! Don’t be cheap- pay to do it at a campsite, there are loads on the NC500 so no excuse!

  • 5/5

Just a car park but handy place to stop

  • 2/5

It's just a big car park, toilets were closed at night. 2pounds per day. with so many beautiful places to stay, I wouldn't bother staying here again! There were about 5-6 campers there and we had no bother.

  • 5/5

NB: toilets not open all night, most facilities/shops/restaurants stop around 6pm. ("please pay" - is asking you to pay/contribute, it's not enforceable as with similar parking on National Trust lands)

  • 4/5

Stayed last night a bit windy and the car park slopes slightly but other than that no problems at all toilets open all night

  • 3/5

Good recycling facilities, car park costs £2 per day or part there of - so an overnight stay costs £4. Quite a few other Mohos there, very windy!

  • 5/5

Stayed 05/11/20 great spot and quiet night after the buses stop at about 9pm. It is sloping but we parked in bottom right space against the wall as it was relatively flat. £2 ticket per day . Would imagine it’s chaos in summer!

  • 5/5

Used car park when we visited, £2 parking all day.

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet night. Just a £2 donation. There is a bit of a slop bit if you wait until after 6pm you can park in a flatter spot.

  • 4/5

Not a bad location in John o’Groats, with plenty of space. Entire carpark is sloped though, which might be an issue for some. Toilets were open all night. Supposed to be a £2 per day charge - but the machine was broke. Spoke to the ‘Together’ attendant when we arrived who told us it was still ok to park.

  • 3/5

We spent one night here and paid £4 to stay. Parking is £2 all day, but ends at midnight, so need to pay £2 the next day too. Stayed overnight so that we could do the shops in the morning, but nothing open until 10/11 at the earliest. Vehicle movement all night, so not the best option. Decent if you just need somewhere to stop.

  • 4/5

An ideal overnight location, where we had an undisturbed night. There was vehicle movement from 6.00 am. Parking is £2 for the day. There are toilets and various food and gift vendors open by day. Bins, but no water. Leave no trace, so that we can all continue to use this place.

  • 3/5

Attention, beaucoup de monde et de passage il faut arriver très tôt. N oubliez pas aussi de payer les 2 livres pour le parking ( c’est une donation)

  • 5/5

    any level spaces

  • 4/5

Parking pour un prix raisonnable. Très fréquente de la journée.

  • 3/5

Sloping all ways car park but spacious. We were one of eight vans parked there. Toilets and pretty much everything else closes around 1830, there are bins though. Car park is very well illuminated at night so make sure you have good curtains. Tendency for some van owners to play musical parking spot! Midget level low.

  • 4/5

Brilliant open car park. 2 other campervans with us overnight. Very quiet and great sea view. £2 per day with bins and facilities. Toilets were closed but baby change was open for water

  • 4/5

Nice open car park. overnight is allowed when £2 paid at machine by shop. toilets close at 18.30 (apparently)

  • 5/5

Quiet area situated beside a lovely cafe and a 10 minutes walk away from the bar bar at the end of the road. No issues staying here with plenty of space. Slightly sloped parking

  • 5/5

Ideal for self contained campers. Plenty of spaces. Asked at shop if overnight parking was allowed. They said yes. The fee is 2 pounds per day to park. I paid for 1 day. Very peaceful night.

  • 4/5

On peux y rester la nuit .

  • 4/5

Une participation de 2 £ est demandée pour stationner toute la journée, payable au parcmètre situé à côté du "Tourist Information". Des grandes places adaptées aux cc sont disponibles.

  • 4/5

Free parking, overnighting is also allowed. Nice seaview, restaurants around. Parking lot is uneven, you need to adjust a bit.

  • 5/5

  • 3/5

    Parcheggio in pendenza.

  • 4/5

Großer Parkplatz. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig. Toiletten sind vorhanden.
