Amazing little pub at the end of the road, very friendly staff, hot shower and cool water available if you buy a drink. Good food available at reasonable prices. I stayed here one night slept well with very little to no noise heard from the freeway. It is now requested to arrive before 8:30 p.m.

Lovely staff. Pub was closed due to Covid but still allowed us to stay. Got a take away meal to eat in the van. You can hear the motorway but still slept well. Drinking water to fill up and tanks to empty waste. Amazing

Excellent hard standing. Free to use. With walks along the river and through the adjacent field for dogs. We had a take-away from the pub to eat in our van - good food, standard pub fayre (if you don’t eat/ drink in the pub you are expected to leave a donation). The toilets were clean and well lit.

Tidy, clean, more facilities than expected, loos, showers, fresh water, waste and even one EHU. Food not brilliant, but may be because of the situation at present, likewise the beer choices. Recommended though as a great overnight stop

Next to pub. Perfect spot to stop over on way/returning from Scotland. Better facilities than some sites! Fresh water, dog waste bins, toilets & somewhere to empty loo. Some road and train noise but didn’t keep us awake. Just off M6. We had a meal in the pub but I didn’t feel this was expected when I went and asked. Room for about 15 vans, was about 8 others. Proper little find. Food in pub was ok. £7.50 for two courses from a light bites menu which were plenty big enough. Main course plates looked huge! Good honest food. Nothing fancy. Dogs allowed and staff friendly.

Great overnight stop. Noise from the motorway as it’s only 50 yds away but free to park although visited the pub for a meal which was OK. Free water and toilet drop. Great stopover if going North or South of the border. Recommended.

Good flat camping spots just off the M6 once in the van we didn’t hear any toad or train noise. The pub does nice food. I’d recommend getting there early thankfully we did by 6pm the motorhome area was full. A few arrived later and were able to park in the main car park.

This place is great we came a year ago and it was a very good pit stop but we stayed last night and now its superb, with clean toilets and all the facilities you would need being in a motorhome.

Amazing stop on the way up to Scotland. Such friendly and awesome staff in the pub, they fed and watered us even though we arrive 30mins after they were supposed to stop doing foods. Dogs were not just allowed but welcomed with open arms and cuddles! Car Park a bit busy with campers but everyone squeezed in ok!

Perfect pitstop on the way/back from scotland. Toilets, chemical waste disposal and rubbish available. Honesty box at the toilet station. Only very minimal road noise through night, and a nice footpath across the “road closed” sign to take the dog for a walk. We were unfortunately too late to enjoy the pub!

Perfect location on route to Scotland. Good level car park overlooking fields and river. Pub food decent but great prices. free to stay and toilets open 24 hours. waste dump also.

Fantastic place to stop off. Absolutely fantastic service. What a little find! Nice food, lovely pub, even if restaurant is full they'll do you a takeaway. Great toilet facilities. Thank you for a great little stay on our big roundtrip!

Great stopover with toilets. No charge but you would be daft not to use the pub. Lovely staff and very good prices eg £7.50 for 2 courses on lite bite menu. Honesty box if you don't use the pub or feel that you would like to support the premises. We came on a Thursday, plenty of spaces and toilets very clean. Rabbits playing in the next field and otters in the river!

It was wonderful. Great food but make a reservation prior arriving. Eat out was perfect. Two people with drinks and food less than 25£. We are coming back. The waitress Healy was outstanding! Toilet clean!

This place is an example to all pubs and restaurants that offer overnight stays. There is nothing to criticise, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced, dog friendly, water and waste disposal available, level gravel parking, new (since we were last here) toilet and shower block. A perfect stop to break up the journey to or from Scotland.

What is there to fault with a place of stay that is technically free which includes lovely clean toilets and a pleasant view at sunset. It's optional to purchase a meal from the pub, but why not...you're technically paying less than a tenna for hot food and a safe location to sleep

This is a beautiful stop over which the owners have upgraded. The food is fabulous and the atmosphere very welcoming.Please note the restaurant closes at 8.45. so make sure you arrive early so as not to be disappointed. If not using the pub/restaurant there is an Honesty box at the toilet block please contribute. towards your stay.

Great place for stopover on way to scotland, food good, dogs allowed, some noise from traffic and rail. Good hard standing, waste disposal, water, showers available all for price of a drink. Will definitely use again.

A lovely place to spend the night, really convenient for the M6 on my journey to Scotland. Staff are very friendly and the food is great value. The parking area is flat with lots of large spaces. Please do go and buy a drink or food here to thank the Metal Bridge Inn for providing such a great facility. Highly recommended!

Reading the reviews below, I knew we couldn’t go wrong with this place. Although we haven’t eaten in here this evening, I cannot quite believe how accommodating everyone is. They even allow water refill, toilet emptying and showers?! By far the most pleasant, convenient and friendly place I have ever been to. 5 stars, faultless.

Lovely stopover and close to motorway. There is black emptying and fresh water refill plus refuge bin. Some set menus for 2 available. This is our 4th visit in last 6 wks and for £17.50 we both had sirloin steak meal..or £20 for 2 rib eye. The onion rings are the best I've tasted. Good portion sizes. The chef deserves 5 stars. Ample parking area for motorhomes.

Teníamos la pegatina de Bridge stop, y la verdad que la parada mereció la pena. La comida casera y los postres ricos. Menú y postre 7 libras por persona. Muy recomendable!

Stayed here last night, dined I the the pub the food was of excellent quality, I had the steak and Guinness pie probably the best I have had in a long time, 5 adults 2 toddlers drinks and food for less than £70 very happy, small amount of noise from M6 the trains are a bigger issue but you soon get used to it, definitely recommend and would stay again

Ein toller Britstops Platz! Das Essen ist gut und günstig und die Aussicht aus dem Wintergarten ist super. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sie scheinen genau zu wissen, was Wohnmobilfahrer brauchen.

Superfreundliches Personal und simpel. Stellplatz hinter dem Restaurant angenehm, kann einfach angefahren werden und fairerweise, wenn man die Dusche uns Sanitäranlagen dort benutzt, kann man gut im Restaurant essen, auch gute Portionen. Und Hunde willkommen. Dusche war wirklich ok, einfach Badeschlappen an und dann passt das. Wir können die bisherigen Kommentare nur bestätigen.

Ein toller Stellplatz beim Restaurant Metal Bridge, direkt am Fluss gelegen. Sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung, da die Autobahn direkt vorbei führt. Trotz der nahen Autobahn relativ ruhig. Wer dort nächtigt, sollte vorher im Restaurant essen gehen, gute Küche, schönes Ambiente und nettes Personal.

This is a great stop over! We used it on our way back from Scotland. The staff are so friendly, 5 stars for them.. There is a separate parking area for vans, with a water point and toilet emptying. I was told there was a shower available at a small cost. The pub toilets open up early. Wasn’t bothered by noise as we wear ear plugs, but it didn’t sound bad outside.. We ate In The pub and the food was delicious. Best stopover for facilities and friendliness..

Great place ideal stopover for visiting the Highlands. Made to feel very welcome by those in the pub no pressure to buy a meal we did on the way up but on the way back we just had a drink not a problem

Ebener Kiesplatz in der Nähe zur Autobahn M6. Kostenloser Parking. Ein Besuch im Restaurant wird erwartet. Gutes und günstiges Essen. Sehr nettes Personal. Der Parkplatz war gegen 21 Uhr voll. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen. Wir fühlten uns sicher.

Great stopover. Unless you have exceptionally good hearing you can barely hear the road traffic when inside van. Good food and prices, nice staff. Dog friendly. Emptying and refilling water is a bonus. We will be back.

The motorhome parking were full, but it is allowed to park overnight in the car park. The food was excellent and the staff was very helpfully. We recommend to everybody who need to stop, refill or discharge.

Excellent endroit pour passer la nuit. Nous avons pu faire les services : vidanges, remplissage d’eau propre moyennant un repas et une consommation hier soir, devant le match de foot. Très sympa, même si les Anglais ont perdu ?! Nuit tranquille malgré la proximité de l’autoroute. Nous n’avons rien vu concernant une éventuelle possibilité de branchement électrique. Nous recommandons cet endroit.

We turned up late, after the kitchen had closed, but received such a friendly welcome and no problem to stay overnight. Although the pub doesn't open till 11.30am, they said someone would be about earlier and we were welcome to use the toilets etc. Brilliant !

Ebener sauberer Platz mit Kiesbelag. Kostenlose Versorgung mit Trinkwasser und Entsorgung von Grauwasser, Schwarzwasser und Reisemüll möglich. Der Standplatz ist kostenlos. Einkehr im Pub ist obligatorisch. Das Essen ist sehr gut und günstig. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Wegen der Nähe zur Autobahn etwas Verkehrslärm. Gelegentlich fährt ein Zug vorbei. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Très bon accueil dans ce pub. Nous avons bu un verre et avons pu bénéficier d'une douche (qu'on ne nous a pas facturée alors qu'on pensait que ça le serait). Il y a de quoi vidanger les eaux grises (probablement avec un seau, on n'a pas essayé) et noires, ainsi que de l'eau potable. Effectivement il y a un bruit d'autoroute et un train qui passe de temps en temps...

Buen lugar para hacer una parada en ruta. Hemos dormido tranquilos, aunque se escuchan los coches de la autopista que pasa muy cerca del area.
