Stayed overnight for the low price of 50p! A couple of other vans but plenty of space and very peaceful. There's a distant alarm that goes off every four minutes but didn't disturb us. Lovely dog walk along Stour into Flatford nearby. Will be back.

  • 5/5

parked for the night arrived 1800 left 0830 50p overnight charge or 60p on the app. dark and quite no issues what so ever . Will defo be back in the summer . vw t4 camper

  • 5/5

Our 2nd stay here and still a 5-star! 50p overnight (18.00-08.00) and £5 for all day if you’re walking in the Stour Valley or exploring Dedham. 2 great pubs, cafe and co-op 3 mins walk away. Very quiet overnight and plenty of space. What’s not to like?!

  • 5/5

Used this stopover after coming off the ferry at Harwich. A few other campers off this ferry had the same idea. Can pay the 50p charge by contactless pay machine or by using an app. Very quiet no issues. Lovely little village 2 mins walk away.

  • 4/5

Stayed one night, no problems. First hour free in the daytime. Then 50p overnight. Very small village but lovely walk by the river.

  • 5/5

Only people in the car park. Very quiet at night, and lots of space. Overnight is 50p, 60 if pay by app. The town itself is very nice, and the walk to John Constable's Flatford is great.

  • 5/5

Great park up. Very busy during the day on weekends/bank holidays so may not find a space. Found a spot easily as arrived around 6pm, it’s then 50p until 8am plus an hour free parking! Great local village/pubs and river for water sports

  • 5/5

Great place, 50p 6pm till 8am. 2 minutes walk to the village where there are toilets to the left of the church (sign posted). Two good pub's, grocers and a John Constable painting in the church. Great

  • 5/5

as others say, easy, peaceful, cheap and no problems sleeping

  • 5/5

A very peaceful night sleep and plenty of room in our 7.5m motorhome, just us and five other motorhomes, very safe and beautiful walk along the river to Flatford Mill (about half an hour)

  • 5/5

Great place to stay overnight to explore Constable country. Easy to park in the middle gravel area which has no car space markings. £5.50 for 24 hours parking. Several cafes close by and a couple of pubs. We ate at The Sun Inn which was excellent.

  • 5/5

stayed for the one night. arrived around 3pm used the parking app and got parking until 8am for only £2.50! convenient shop just up the road open til 10pm, a few little cafes etc for breakfast and lunch and lovely trip down the river.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Third time staying here. Always been good & always other campers. 50p (contactless or app only at the minute) 6pm to 8am. You can get a 1 hour ticket free, so we did that 5pm-6pm, and 8am to 9am. You can only buy the overnight ticket from 6pm. Around 3 mins walk one way to the church/high street area & similar to the bridge/river the other way. Children paddling & paddleboarding.

  • 4/5

Really nice village. Easy to pay on card, you also get an hour free. We stayed 2 nights without any problems. It did get busy in the day but it was a warm bank holiday.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Beautiful area, a lot of space, the parking machines are a bit funny but all good at the end. A couple of pickup trucks drifting in the parking mud pretty close to my home during the day, but no other problem! Locals at the grocery store very friendly and the lady at the farm too, good place to stop if you passing trough and beautiful footpaths and fields for your dog

  • 5/5

Great overnight on large carpark with plenty of trees. We parked all day for £5 but the machines wouldn’t accept a card payment of 50p for the overnight fee (from 6pm to 8am) but we stayed anyway with no problem. Very quiet. 3 min walk to the pub. Bins on site but no water or loos

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

I read the reviews and read the photo of the sign so took along my shiny 50p but the machine no longer takes change! Card only. Then it rejected my card three times. I was super anxious all night, convinced I'd get a hefty fine. Left at 7am. Lovely and quiet, even with about six other vehicles. Unlevel ground in some places. No toilets or water but there is at least one bin.

  • 5/5

Beautiful village, nice pub a very short walk from car park, nice walks on the public footpaths and very nice views, car park is ok but not very flat on the grassy area and trees hanging down low, didn’t notice much traffic noise, phone signal was very bad for me. My only major complaint was the music I could hear nearby until very late… But £1 for a nice safe night of camping… bargain

  • 5/5

Excellent for an over night stop - plenty of space, good location, quiet and cheap. We parked up on a grassy bit and were the only camper. Ticket machine only took card and only over £1 but hardly broke the bank - highly recommended

  • 5/5

Large & flat, didn't notice the other 10-ish vans as plenty of space. Cheap overnight, only 0.50p, wardens visit in the morning so purchase another ticket if staying for a walk the following day. Lovely village & friendly locals. Public toilets in the village were open at 0800 on a Sunday when I took the pooch for a wander, only a short walk away and there's a bakery and a pub breakfast nearby.

  • 5/5

lovely village, very quiet ,very cheap,a perfect stopover

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Nice, quiet and cheap with bats flying over the river at night.

  • 5/5

Big area. Arrived late and parked up besides 2 other vans in the main concrete area. Machine was contactless payment and took £1 until 8am.

  • 5/5

Nice big car park, plenty of space. 50p from 6pm to 8am. Beautiful village with lots of walking

  • 3/5

Okay if you’re stuck for places. We wanted to go elsewhere but a van was already there. We came here tucked away in the corner, quiet nights sleep but I’m not a fan of the car park sleeping. Had to leave by 8 am. Bin van was there at 7am! There’s also a weird smell because of the little stream behind the car park! It’s great if you just need to get your head down down.pubs down the road are good!!

  • 5/5

Plenty of room for campers and local for walks along the river, pubs and cafes. 50p for the night. We had a friendly Robin join us in the morning as we had our cuppa.

  • 5/5

Excellent, quiet and relaxing. we had a few other campers in the car park which was great. 50p to stay until 8am, we then paid £4 to stay until 6pm the following day

  • 4/5

We loved this spot. There are 3 or 4 car parking areas with multiple spaces. One of the areas states no vehicles over 2.1m although it doesn't restrict it with barriers. We arrived fairly late in the evening and there was hardly anyone there. We paid 50p overnight & a little more in the morning. We saw a warden give tickets so you have to make sure you cover your stay.

  • 4/5

Lots of space. Only two other vans there overnight and very quiet. Lovely swim in the Stour the next morning!

  • 5/5

Great spot for overnight parking. Super quiet. Close to fabulous pub along the river with boating. We parked asking road nearer the pub during the day, as easier to carry the kayak.

  • 5/5

I was very pleased to find this location which was the first ever night in my half finished conversion. There were two other vans parked when I arrived, one definitely a sleeper, the other one, I wasn’t sure. It costs 50p from 1800 until 0800 the next day although it does specifically say no camping! I left at 0730 the following morning, but came back to explore later in the day. As expected on a fine and sunny Sunday, the car park was full, but I did manage to get a space (cost £2 for up to 4 hours) and take a walk up to the river just north of the car park. Lots of paddle boarders, hire rowing boats and families sat on the river bank. Would recommend.

  • 4/5

    All as before. Peaceful night.

  • 5/5

Great place and nice and quiet too we arrived at 5pm , got an hour free as special offer then at 6pm paid 50p for all night till 8am. We also met another couple sleeping overnight which made us feel a bit safer too. Also in the morning can pay £1 for 2 hours stay. I’d deffo recommend as beautiful area to also do some nice walks, close to pub and a small coop grocery shop.

  • 5/5

Fab car park, loads of space and nice and flat and quiet. Gets busy during the day with walkers and paddle boarders! Great pub 3 mins into Dedham. 50p from 6pm till 8am, very cheap for the day.

  • 5/5

Great park up, supermarket and pub 3 min walk. beautiful river walks and kayaks and paddle boards allowed on river. also boat rental. stayed 2 nights. 50p a night £4 all day. quite rd A12 10 min away.

  • 5/5

Peaceful night, couple of cars coming and going until around midnight but no issues, good access to recycling and waste bins, people turn up again from around 6am, would recommend.

  • 4/5

Very dark and quiet once the paddle boarders clear off. Great food at The Sun, up the road in Dedham No facilities, just the local recycling bins.

  • 5/5

Lovely place to stay, close to village. warden came by and said hello, we had paid online for overnight parking so he knew we were staying.

  • 4/5

Incredibly busy during the day on a sunny weekend but quietened right down after 7pm. As others have said, middle car park the best for a quiet overnight stay (apart from local cockerel crowing from 4am onwards). 5 mins walk to local pub. A good overnight stop.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Absolutely lovely place to stay and within minutes of the beautiful river Stour which constable painted so frequently. The car park was massive with recycling and rubbish bins located. Was really peaceful once the day visitors had departed and minimal noise from the nearby road. Beautiful dog walks along the river.

  • 5/5

Toller Platz.

  • 4/5

Nice car park, lot of space, no amenities

  • 4/5

Viel Platz, Landstraße zu hören. Sehr empfehlenswert.

  • 5/5
