Side road by Preston Park leading to opening at the very end. Parking on one side only as double yellow lines on other. Free until 2pm on weekends the £2.60 for 4 hours (then free until 2pm again). Signage saying no overnight parking but everyone does park overnight. Good poopability as the toilets are by the cafe rotunda. Really convenient because close to the city center. Plenty of parking space for large vans.

Großer Parkplatz mitten in Brighton.

really impressed, been meaning to try for a while & glad we did. lost stuff out of cupboards on way down as so many pot holes & bumps, take it slowly! almost got stuck in mud (again!) be careful where you reverse into. haven't completed whole night yet but impressed so far.

  • 5/5

Inexpensive and as close as you can get to town. Lots of foot traffic. Toilets outside Rotunda cafe. Recycling point at beginning of driveway. Parking always uneven. Not a lot of solar exposure.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Great place to park. Got there after 10am and paid by app for 6 hours. About £5. After 4pm its free until the following morning at 9 which then becomes chargeable again. Fairly quiet night. busy with walkers and joggers in the morning. Toilets near by in the park.

  • 2/5

Bastante nivelado.

  • 5/5

Only stopped for a few hours in the evening but good spot. Slightly narrow access road but the park nearby is lovely and it’s in walking distance from the centre and beach (20-30min).

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

had the two days/nights here . only allowed 5 hours during the day out of the 6 you need to pay for 9 till 4 so you need to time it right I waited untill 10 am the second day to pay on the app . at 5 past 10 the traffic warden turned up ( that was close ) good night's sleep till dog walkers arrive at 7

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Awesome night spent here! Very quiet throughout, right next to a park and free overnight :) Recommended!!

  • 5/5

Fijne plek.

  • 5/5

Nice spot near the city centre. The carpark from the northern entrance is more suitable for staying overnight. Rather quiet.

  • 4/5

great view of the park, short walk to town (30 min). fairly quiet spot. pay Upto 6pm then free until the morning. felt safe. few other vans around although one decided to run his engine at midnight

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Good spot, stayed one night. 25 minute walk from city centre. Quiet at night. Toilets in nearby park, although I'd imagine these are only open in-hours. Please take rubbish home and respect the area.

  • 5/5

Great parking spot about 40 min walk to the sea front but easy to get a bus

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Good spot easy walk to Brighton. Nice and quite on a lovely park. Its cheap (£5 for 6 hrs) 9-4 Mon to Fri and 2-6 Sat. Only issue u can pay max 6 hours so u can't pay for full day (7 hours), no problem for us as we came back at 3pm and just chilled by van until 4, no traffic warden seen. There are 2 entrances u want the upper one as way more room. upper one is the entrance through the pilliars.

  • 5/5

came late and got a parking ticket for the next day but I don't think anyone checked it, a bit tricky to enter because of one way streets but when in, it was a jam, close to the city and relatively quiet at night

  • 4/5

  • 1/5

whoever made this listing as not give the proper address it doesn't take you where you need to be. so thanks for that.

  • 1/5

Sign said £2.50 for 4 hours. I got 2 on the printed ticket. Got worried I would get a ticket so marched back from town, bummer

  • 5/5

Toller Parkplatz direkt neben einem großen, schönen Park. Wir haben 20 Minuten in die Stadt gebraucht. Perfekt für Hundebesitzer:innen!

  • 4/5

Can be crowded….joggers, dog walkers and other people. Gets quieter late at night. But it’s in close proximity to the cities core and felt quite safe.

  • 3/5

what you'd expect when sleeping in the city. Car park was still full of cars when we arrived at 7:30 and just managed to get a space. It's a great spot for visiting the town - we paid £3 for 6 hours on the paybyphone app but we came back to a parking ticket on our windscreen!!

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Great place, very central without being noisy at night. Lots of dogwalkers in the early morning hours. I recommend not going to this place, but the place like 100m north of this. It's the same parking situation in the same road, but with a nicer view of the park and parking with the back towards the park instead of parking back to back with other campers.

  • 4/5

Platz ok. Kein Sanitär; aber ruhig.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Great spot, lots of space and several other vans when we were there. we turned a 7m motorhome at the end of the road without problems. Quiet overnight but inevitably there is traffic on nearby roads during the day.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Very good spot, close enough for a stroll into town (or buses). day parking is a reasonable price too. flat, other campers here also so didn't feel scary and deserted. all in all, a comfortable night's sleep! café in the park too with toilets!

  • 4/5

We arrived at 3:30 so paid for an hour (only 90p) and it took us to 9:30am which was nice as we didn’t have to worry and left by the morning. Nice and quite as no traffic passes but a lot of joggers and cyclists go past as there is a sports centre. My only note would be there are a lot of speed bumps for such a small side road and you have to go all the way to the end to turn around.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Excellent- arrived after parking charges so free night, access to toilet in park and laundry on Preston Drove opens at 7:30 7 days a week.

  • 5/5

Quiet spot at night and about 20-25 min walk into town. Park down the end for slightly flatter spots.

  • 3/5

  • 5/5

Nice stopover, lovely busy park during the day quiet at night, come in at the top end( the gallop) for the best area for motorhomes( the car park is split in two leave the bottom end for the cars, much more room at the top) there were 4 or 5 other vans here with us on a Wednesday night.Would definitely stay again

  • 5/5

Great spot to park the car, but you have to look carefully where to park it since it's not everywhere flat. We followed the navigation in this app, but some of the pictures other posted doesn't look the same as where we were, although we stood next to Preston Park. Anyway, quiet place with low prices within half an hour walking yo the city, or you can take bus 5.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot overlooking the park. Plenty of space with most vans at the top section. I stayed 2 nights, pay and display very easy and paid via phone app for the limited amount of hours which required it. I biked into the centre and beach within 10/15mins.

  • 5/5

Very nice location, quiet at night, sufficient spots for the multiple campers, good location to visit the city.

  • 5/5

Good spot nice and quiet. Stayed here for the Brighton Marathon

  • 5/5

Had a great sleep here. Arrived at midday ish so only had to pay a couple of ££ before it was free from 4pm. Lovely park surroundings, nice & quiet with a few other vans/cars so felt super safe. 35-40 minute walk to the beach! Would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5

Great spot for exploring Brighton. Peaceful at night and a nice buzz during the day.

  • 5/5

Great park up - peaceful at night and right next to the park. There were quite a few other vans but there are loads of spaces so we had no problem getting a space. Toilets in the park were not open 24hrs (I think we went around 7pm and they were locked) and there are quite a lot of pot holes on the road in.

  • 5/5

Peaceful night even on a Friday in January at the "top end". Visiting vans all very quiet and respectful. Arrived after 4 pm which allowed us a night out in Brighton and a walk in again on Saturday morning all for free, tho very busy Sat morning as everyone comes to play football/ run in the park.

  • 5/5

Great park up lots of room easy to find a flat spot.

  • 5/5

Great little park up. we parked up at the top end with access of preston drove where there was a little more room. About 20 minutes walk into town. Nice and quite with a few vans for company.

  • 5/5

Really convenient for central Brighton and free overnight. Public toilets in the park were open 24 hours. Lots of room and a fair few vans parked up overnight. Will be back for sure!

  • 4/5

Really good spot. Ground slightly uneven. But 20 minute walk into central Brighton, great spot to have a weekend away

  • 5/5

Great quiet place to park we stayed a few nights and used it as a base, no trouble at all, right by park, we stayed up the top end not the bottom that is shown on the map, and you have to enter via the top entrance as the two parts are not linked by a road x

  • 3/5

Parked here during the day and walked through the park into Brighton. Pay and display during the day and if your a larger vehicle make sure to come a bit earlier to secure space!

  • 5/5

Date of stay: 11th August 2021. Awesome place to stay for the night in Brighton, free from 4pm to 9am Monday to Friday. Toilets inside park but they’re closed at night until early morning. It’s a great park with lots going on and there were plenty of other vans parked up but it wasn’t too noisy at all.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Stayed here for two evenings. Arrived on the Friday for a Thai festival which happened to be going on in the field next to the car park!! No dramas what so ever, made some new camper friends too. Just remember to pay between 2pm and 6pm on the weekend and you will be fine!!

  • 4/5

Great car park, easy to park and pay. We walked into Brighton Pier easily from here. Lovely big park next to car park that is beautiful to watch the sunset. Lots of parties in park from sundown-late. We parked away from other cars and we’re not too disturbed.

  • 5/5

Great car park with lots of spaces. very quiet and was joined by more campers throughout the day. free to park from 6pm til 8am.

  • 1/5

Very loud youth party at 3am. impossible to sleep.

  • 5/5

Parked up minding my own business anyone want to bother me I have the right to defend myself and my property.

  • 1/5

Had a peaceful sleep then awoke to a council letter on my windscreen basically telling me to get off the land. No return within 3 months or will be fined. We are a small van conversion so council are basically targeting any van used for sleeping in.

  • 5/5

You can access this parking area (The Ride) either for Preston Drove (north) or Stanford Ave (south). We stayed on the northern area and found it better and more spacious. Good parking space, public toilets in the park (not amazing, but sufficient), recycling bins at the very top of The Ride, other vans around, overall quiet and felt safe. About 25 minutes walk to the seafront. You can pay at the machines or via one of the parking apps on your phone.

  • 5/5

Great spot for exploring Brighton! Very cheap. No one hassled us at all and it was really quiet and tranquil. Alas we forgot to pay for parking one day and got a ticket, so beware!

  • 5/5

Great stop and walking distance to city centre and beach. Although I didn’t realise until the next day that if you come at it from the other direction - so follow Preston park avenue up and drive into the park from that end the car park is better suited for van parking. The bit that the directions take you to is road side parking and although quiet spot not as good as the other side. It’s the same car park but you can’t get to both parts from the same entrance.

  • 5/5

Lovely little spot with plenty of room. I felt safe on my own. Early morning joggers and dog walkers but they all left me alone. Me and one other camper parked.

  • 5/5

Love this spot! We rocked up at 4pm on a Saturday, paid one whole pound to stay until 2pm Sunday. It’s a great spot, the park has a great atmosphere and there is a toilet block. We walked to the beach and lanes and back, maybe 30 mins each way. Will 100% be staying again

  • 5/5

We parked here for one day. It was raining and we were walking to the pier...it was a quiet long walk so don't underestimate the distance to the city center! There is a bus stop close by and the 5B takes you to the pier! Otherwise we felt like this is a very safe area.

  • 5/5

Very good place to visit Brighton. Bus nummer 5 leaves around the corner and it’s a 10 minute drive to the pier. There are some rules for maximum stay and so it is good to make the match so you can stay overnight.

  • 5/5

Entrance off Preston Drove. Great stopover, pretty level, other vans, 30mins walk to centre of Brighton but London Road is a cool area too and you can easily walk up the hill into Hove.

  • 5/5

Parked here for 2 nights. Lovely spot and other campervans parked also. Toilets close by. Quite a long walk to sea front however we hopped on a bus. Parked for free overnight. Can get a little noisy in the park but it didn’t really bother us.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night. Parked the van and walked in to Brighton. There is a cafe right next to the car park and they have loos. If they are closed, there are public toilets in the middle of Preston Park. There were two or three other vans and it was very quiet and safe. Free until 2:00pm Saturday and Sunday. Would definitely stay here again.

  • 5/5

Really great with bus service to town close by. Quiet and safe.

  • 2/5

  • 4/5

Great spot! Very central and peaceful. Toilets and cafe next door

  • 3/5

Parking in residential area park. Other self builds here. Seems about the cheapest and closet to the town. Foundit thanks to this app.

  • 5/5

Bastante nivelado. Muy transitado por lugareños con sus perros. El paraíso de los perros. Gratis de *16h-9h (lunes a viernes) * 18h-14h (sábados a domingos)

  • 5/5

Didn't stay overnight. but cheap and only a 15 min walk into town. my international credit card was accepted- no problem

  • 3/5

  • 4/5

A nice place to stay. Just by a lovely park with public toilets open 8-8pm in the summer months. Quiet & a convenient walk to the centre.

  • 2/5

  • 5/5

Great free over night stays from 4pm till 9am. Toilets open all day, we spent several nights here no problems. close to Brighton central and an amazing park filled with circus peeps.

  • 5/5

We used this car park today a Friday. you can only park 4 hours. £1 per hour. we walked into town from here. must use card or phone to pay.

  • 4/5

Parking calme et agréable. Semble en sécurité. Bus pour la jetée à 5 mn, 3 €.
