Nice enough spot and needed for a night with horrible weather - rain and high winds. Close to railway line, but trains are infrequent and slow so not too noisy. Good that car park has some lighting. Would definitely stay here again.

  • 5/5

Great location very quiet great view of the castle very good signal we will return

  • 1/5

Schrecklich. Schäbig und laut mit Straße und Eisenbahn. Und dann so teuer für nichts. Wir sind direkt weiter gefahren.

  • 5/5

Funny it was only a fiver the other year, but well worth supporting the leisure centre, so let's hope everyone is honest! it's worth it.

  • 5/5

This is the car park for a community leisure centre. It is run by 3 staff and volunteers who work hard to keep the place open. It can't be beaten for location. £10 per night to stay in the shadow of the castle, 15 minute walk from stunning beach, use shower for £3, swim in fab pool and brekkie in the cafe. Please support this venue to help keep it open. 100% awesome place to park your MH.

  • 1/5

extraordinarily ordinary. for your £10 you get to park in a disused leisure centre car park. across the road it's free with exactly the same facilities none. granted, it IS in the view of the castle which is £8.30 each for adults to walk around. saved some money there. in hindsight, honesty box is next day not as soon as we arrive next time. half a dozen vans here but just a carpark nothing more

  • 5/5

Great place to stay especially on a Friday night just across the road is a fish and chip van there until 9 pm also pizzas at the leisure centre cafe in the car park. Don’t be a rebel like someone as said to do if you want that go on a campsite it’s a car park don’t spoil it because it’s a great safe stop over and makesure you put your donation into the honesty box it’s supporting a local community

  • 5/5

Large car park suitable for all sizes. Nice and flat and was a quiet night! Great view of the castle above and only a 15min walk to the high beautiful beach. Please use as a carpark not a campsite and pay the honesty box to keep this here!

  • 4/5

Für 10 Pfund die Übernachtung prima. Waren nachmittags an der Küste wandern und am nächsten Vormittag das Castle und die Oberstadt anschauen. Betreiber freundlich.

  • 4/5

Nice flat site, great view of the castle, £10 per night, pay in reception or use the honesty box. A bit of a climb to the town but you can come down “the world’s steepest street”. No services available but great for a cheap overnight

  • 4/5

Flat and big car park. £10 for night, pay in sports centre. Very quiet, short but step walk up to the lovely village and castle. 15-20 min walk to amazing beach. Public toilets in the town and near the beach.

  • 5/5

Great little stopover to go to the beach and a visit to the castle. Dogs allowed on a massive stretch of the beach. Beautiful day and lots of space in car park and friendly locals who all stop to chat. Think I might sit outside to eat with a glass of wine and who knows I might be a total rebel and put my rubbish in the bin! £10 put in honesty box which technically does make it a campsite

  • 5/5

Good spot but going to get spoilt by people thinking it is a campsite .I am all for people enjoying themselves but full on bbq with tables and chairs out then fill the leisure centres bins with their rubbish bit much .

  • 5/5

Great spot for the night. Very camper friendly and a lovely view of the castle. Was busy but easy fit around 20 campers on bank holiday weekend.Even though busy was very quiet in the night time. Tennis courts open so worth bringing rackets and ball.

  • 5/5

Nice flat car park, short walk to beach or Harlech. Quiet night about 15 vans here bank holiday Sunday night Swimming pool 6.30 a m swims when open. Nice views of castle

  • 4/5

We’ve parked with a view of the castle and put a tenner in the box. Walked to the Queens Hotel, such a friendly vibe with lovely owners who adored our dogs. Food looked amazing but we have a food obsessed dog so not worth it but the beer and Chardonnay was excellent, ended up having 3! So friendly I couldn’t recommend this pub enough. Accommodation too that (no spoilers) have won 4 in a bed!

  • 5/5

Another great stop. The view of the castle never fails. They are in financial difficulties again so make sure you pay at reception or leave the money in the box by the door.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night (jan 2023) excellent place, very quiet. £10 charge for the night. Sports centre wasn’t open but free public toilets and shop in walking distance

  • 4/5

Great spot. Short walk to the beach, short (steep!) walk to town.

  • 5/5

really nice flat park up spots center wasn't Open when I went but would be easy access for toilet when there back open after the holidays. views of the Castle and the beach is accessible via another car park just down the road then follow the foot path.

  • 5/5

This is an excellent park up. The £10 you SHOULD be paying goes towards the upkeep of the centre, which is run with volunteers and saved by the local community. Please don’t leave with out paying at reception, in the cafe or the honesty box on the wall. It’s a great location for Harlech centre and Castle.

  • 5/5

Great place, good internet signal, and 10 pound for the night great price...

  • 5/5

Nice big car park, good view of the castle and pubs nearby for toilets. Leisure centre not open on the Monday we went, check the actual website for opening times not Google.

  • 4/5

Flat, and very quiet car park at the leisure centre. £10 in the honesty box. Lots of other vans there and felt very safe. Spectacular views of the castle at night.

  • 4/5

parcheggio del centro sportivo, notte tranquilla, abbastanza vicino al mare. nessun servizio ma abbiamo chiesto alla reception e ci hanno riempito la tanica di acqua.

  • 5/5

This should cost £10 if you are honest and pay per the signs. A nice quiet safe spot under the castle. Put the exact coordinates into your sat nav to find it rather than the Postcode. In the morning you can get a full English Breakfast.

  • 1/5

We came for a shower but since the pool is not open, even though everything eles is, the showers are unavailable.

  • 3/5

On arrival we became aware of a nearby car that had its back door wide open that might have been broken into? We went out, on our return later there was a car (with a youth and a girl) parked no more than 2’ from our door and some youths playing football. The large car park was otherwise empty, so why park so close? Were the youths kicking a football really lookouts? Sorry but won’t be back…

  • 5/5

Great quiet overnight spot, with brilliant view of the Castle. 5 vans stayed last night. The trains didn’t bother us at all and there were no other disturbances. How wonderful to be made welcome! Please respect, pay to stay, support the Centre, and leave no trace.

  • 3/5

Amazing location, lovely space…but the train is very close and pretty noisy. Met some lovely people (6/7 vans onsite) but one group spoiled for the rest of us (& local residents) with loud music, shouting and swearing. Seemed like they were having a good time though!

  • 5/5

This is an exceptional stop off. £8 for the night, lovely staff who are very welcoming, toilets available while the pool is open, 15min walk over the dunes to the lovely beach, spectacular view of the castle. We will be back!

  • 5/5

Excellent park up, though a lot of things closed being a Sunday. stunning view of the castle. £8 payable at the leisure centre. Make sure you pay, they need the £ for new boilers and pool cover. We visited the queens hotel, 5 minute walk, for a couple of drinks. Village shop and toilet also 5 mins away. Toilet was closed by 17:30

  • 5/5

Huge carpark. amazing castle view. Great pub opposite called -Y- Branwen (purple building) easy access across rail line. honesty box of £8 for overnight. showers are available HOWEVER this was not an option as the centre pool was not in use, ask in the morning but don't assume (Community run). the world's steepest Street is here. Castle a great visit.

  • 5/5

No issues. £8 night as at Jan 2022.

  • 5/5

Brilliant stopover here on 3/10/21. Lovely and peaceful, felt very safe, relatively flat, great view of the castle. No other vans when we stayed. Popped in to leisure centre to pay the £8 in the morning. Able to do this on card. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and really liked the town itself; small but had a nice feel to the place.

  • 4/5

Had a nice quiet night here. 2 other vans. Gave my £10 to the lovely ladies in the cafe and then spent some time wandering around the village. Beach is gorgeous and so are the views from the castle. Wish more places had this kind of scheme!

  • 5/5

£10 for 24 hours. Castle beautiful. Beach easy walk/ cycle. Next to golf course. Train station short walk away. shop and pub.

  • 5/5

Fantastic location, £8 honesty box on wall of leisure centre. stunning back drop of castle. two pubs and a cafe 3 mins walk across train line. can also walk to the beach. walked up to the village at the top of the castle for coffees in the morning

  • 4/5

Great place to stay overnight! 10 min walk to great beach, the leisure place let us use the toilets multiple times, the cafe was also good, decent prices for a nice breakfast. We also walked up/down the worlds steepest street, to get to a few nice takeaways on top of the hill! £8 for overnight, motorhomes welcome, lots of space!

  • 5/5

Perfect view of the castle. Central with all amenities on your doorstep. No hook up but leisure centre is open and will let you swim/shower for £2. 15 minute walk to the beach down a straight path. £8 for the night, it’s a non for profit organisation supporting the leisure centre :) very happy, staff really friendly. Room for about 40. 6 of us parked up tonight. Very quiet.

  • 5/5

Great little spot, beach a 15 minute walk, a park for kids around the corner, train station to travel elsewhere and shops in harlech just across the road. We found it quiet too will definitely be coming back. The parking is £8 overnight but we gave £10

  • 5/5

Perfect for a night, nice fish and chips across the train line and the beach only a 10 minute walk, level parking, 3 other campers with us, plenty of space for more.

  • 5/5

Nice spot, flat surface it's now £8 @night box by reception or if open go in. money supports the leisure centre to stay open for locals. cafe just over the rd next to hairdressers..dont climb the hill like I did you have to book on line to go in castle. a beautiful beach nearby.

  • 5/5

Perfect! Really great spot and used as base for the Castle, Portmeirion and Criccieth. Postcode (which is right) on Google Maps took me to a place a mile away. Actual street address is Harlech & Ardudwy Leisure, Beach Road, Harlech. Fantastic beach nearby. Cant fault this place and will use as base again. Asked about and NOBODY knew of honesty box. Sad. £10 for 2 nights is least you can do.

  • 5/5

Loved this spot, £5 in the honesty box and you will have a great night! Sadly because of Covid the Leisure centre wasn’t open yet, otherwise you can even shower for £2.

  • 3/5

Great find for a night's stay. Tried both pubs and had a fabulous takeaway from the Harlech Tandoori. £5 in the box, no problem.

  • 5/5

As already mentioned this is a great place to stay £5 in honesty box PLEASE don't abuse as money goes to run local leisure centre. The golf course next to tennis court is open to on members and is open from 8am. They serve breakfast baps. Chippy accros the road, and the Queens Hotel serves the best pint.

  • 4/5

If all you want is an overnight stop this is ideal. £5 overnight or £2 day time. funds go to the centre. flat hardstanding area overlooked by the castle. honesty box on wall for when reception is closed, please pay and don't abuse it.

  • 5/5

We stayed here for one night nice and peaceful £5 a night due to leisure centre closed covid 19. Lovely walks across golf course and 10 min to village.

  • 5/5

Great spot and really quiet. You might hear the train crossing alarms from early morning but apart from that brilliant and a nice safe spot within 10 mins of the beach. There is a honesty box, we saw some people not paying but PLEASE pay, it helps them out and will help build Campervan’s reputation back up when it’s getting more difficult to wild camp.

  • 4/5

Great space for an overnight. Swimming baths closed but honesty box on the wall. £5 for overnight and £2 per day. Close to beach and castle. Some environmental noise but nothing too bothersome.

  • 4/5

Stayed overnight and nothing saying the car park is closed. It is the car park for the leisure centre and the note on the door says the centre is closed, but no mention of the car park. Only a 15 min straight walk to the sea. Occasion trains passing in the evening that weren't loud. Otherwise quiet and peaceful. Toilets open a 10min walk towards seafront, although not sure of their hours

  • 5/5

Stayed here for New Years Eve, very quiet little spot, ideal for the 10 minute walk to beach and over the railway into Harlech.

  • 5/5

Super parking spot and the fees go to help the community leisure centre. Views of the castle. Peaceful night will definitely come again

  • 5/5

Great spot in swimming and climbing centre car park, pay at reception. They have recycling bins and not much else. £8 camping , £2 showers, use of toilets (in the centre) during opening times of the centre, roughly between 11:00-20:30. A quiet, peaceful stop over. Great for one night for cheapest in the area. Would stay again.

  • 2/5

Beginning of nov, we arrived just before the leisure center closed. Went to reception desk but had the bad surprise to be charged £8 for the night. Too late to move on but way too expensive for a basic carpark without any services. Still £2 for the day which is very reasonnable.

  • 4/5

Altglascontainer vorhanden. Supermarkt 300m.

  • 5/5

Nice and quiet for the night and within walking distance to the Castle and beach. It's the car park for the Harlech Leisure centre. It's a community not for profit sports centre. It's got swimming, climbing and a cafe. 2GBP per day. Worth supporting them.
