(IV44 8QL) Isle of Skye - Unnamed Road

Beautiful spot and the single track road to get to it is no problem at all. When i arrived i was the only one there apart from a tent but as the afternoon went on 5 other vans turned up. Walked over to the ruined castle in the early eveing sunshine and had a chat witb the friendly gentleman living in the nearby house. The views across the bay towards the Cuillins are to die for.

Wir standen für eine Nacht hier. Sehr ruhige Gegend und die Einheimischen sind sehr freundlich. Wir haben eine Dame gefragt ob es für sie ein Problem wäre wenn wir dort stehen,alles gut soweit,nur sollten wir bitte unseren Müll mitnehmen, was für uns jedoch selbstverständlich ist.

One of our favorite spots in Scotland. The view is astonishing and the place is very quiet. The short walk to the old castle is pretty easy, suitable for children. We were 3 motorhomes on the « main » beach and there was still some room for vans or cars.

Un spot incroyable !! Une vue magnifique sur les montagnes avec le sunset en fond, petite baignade et route pas du tout fréquentée !!

Il y a un employé du Council qui n'aime pas la présence des vans mais le propriétaire du terrain y est favorable tant que l'endroit est laissé propre.

Een mooi verharde plek, vlak voor het beekje en veerooster. Je staat vrij dicht aan de weg, maar er is geen verkeer. Een enkele wandelaar. De schapen en herten lopen om je camper, het uitzicht is prachtig!

Achtung, viele Gnitzen hier.

Magnifique endroit, calme (bien que fréquenté, même en août). Par contre pour y arriver, notamment en motorhome, il vaut mieux être un bon conducteur/bonne conductrice : virages serrés et route étroite.

My favourite wild spot with the most amazing sunset! Nobody else stopped here which was surprising. Nobody even passed in a car! Took a walk up to the castle and had a lovely chat with the house owner below it. Was advised there is a pub along the way but were happy to enjoy our van so didn't venture there.

Absolutely fantastic. It was quite with enough room. I stayed for 2 days with one night and will definitely be back. Amazing views and you can take a good walk. One of the best places I've stayed!!

Beautiful spot for an overnight stay. Plenty of space for several motorhomes. Sunset on the beach was so lovely and a highlight of our trip to Skye.

Sehr enge und steile Anfahrt also nur für kleinere Vans. Wirklich magischer Ort bei gutem Wetter. Bei uns war alles sauber und wenig plattgefahren. Hoffentlich bleibt es auch in Zukunft sauber und schön. Nehmt Rücksicht auf die Umwelt und Farmer, dann ist hier gigantisch mit gigantisch vielen Mücken und natürlich ohne Empfang.

Magnifique endroit, face à la mer, au calme ! On a vu un beau coucher de soleil.

stayed here on a sunday night absolutely.. stunning very remote not a lot of signal if any, so great if you want quiet! the road in is quite narrow and definitely a bit sketchy in places but was completly do able in my old transit camper the way i come in although the ranger passed by and said the other route is a lit worse,while there a couple of hire motorhomes turned up albeit not huge ones

Spot fantastique ! directement au bord de la mer avec petite randonnée jusqu'aux ruines d'un château. Entouré par les moutons. Pleins de places pour beaucoup de vans.

Wow!! This is a fabulous place to stay…stunning views, an incredible sunset, swimming on the van doorstep. We were able to have a safe fire, sit outside and watch the sky turn crimson. All this and the opportunity for a gentle jaunt to the ruins of a nearby castle. The long drive down to this secluded paradise is definitely worth it…

Beautiful spot! Get’s quite busy from time to time but there is lots of space for multiple vans. Small road to the beach is very steep and narrow. Large motorhomes best avoid, only suitable for vans, cars and 4x4’s

Lovely spot with great views of the bay and the Cullins (on a good day). So quiet with no cars driving past when we were there. Road not so suitable for large motor homes.

Perfect place for the night. beautiful views, old castle ruins near by to walk to. there was lots of room for everyone but a popular spot. Great for night before the ferry.

Brilliant place. A few people but plenty of room and space to still be far away. Not a single car passed all night either!

Magical spot. Stunning sunsets, safe swimming and the best view of the Cuillins in Skye. There were 5 other campers but lots of space to spread out. Close to the ferry to Mallaig. No 4g signal. We managed the access roads in our 20 year old Motorhome that isn’t fond of hills! It’s a single track road and you just need to take it steady. Enjoyed visiting the castle ruins a few minutes walk away.

Excellent spot, sunset was amazing over the Cuillins. Road to it is tight single track with a few steep gradients. Spaces were also being used at the beach at Ord about 1km short of this location with equally good views if unsure of driving on the steeper parts

Great place, our motorhome managed the steep singletracks and the view was worth it, you will need a good engine to make it here! views over the Cullen Ridge at sunset were amazing.

Absolutely stunning. I could stay there forever. Be warned that it is becoming well known and that you will not be the only one there. Arrive early to get a good spot. Locals were friendly but only if everyone keeps this place clean. Apparently in Ord the’ve had some negative experiences with campers.

One of the best spots I've ever found. Very very quiet, stunning view. We parked on the grass overlooking the beach, locals very friendly and didn't mind at all. Spent a couple of nights here as it was so nice

A good area of level grass and lots of areas to the side of the road too. Plenty of space. Super quiet. Views are stunning. There is also a parking area for one campervan just north of this location. Go and explore the castle. The footpath is signposted from a driveway 3 minutes walk north from this location.

Really lovely spot. Nice and quiet, amazing views. Challenging drive to get there with our LWB but doable. No phone signal at all.

Endroit magnifique loin de tout. coucher de soleil à tomber et phoque nageant dans la petite baie au réveil. la route est très étroite et parfois bien pentue.

Tranquillité absolue au bord de cette petite route et tres belles vues si le temps est dégagé! balade possible jusqu'à de jolies ruines d'un chateau en bord de mer.
