had a lovely meal, a few drinks, and our first time car camping, we parked in the back corner, and the pub closed at 12 clock, so we had use of toilets until then. quiet and had a good night's sleep. McDonald's nearby for morning coffee
Had a great stay here with my 2 children 7 and 9, had a nice reasonably priced meal then retired to the van for the night was really peaceful had a good sleep!
Parkplatz auf der Rückseite des Pubs The Shovels. Eben und geteert. Gegen ein oder zwei Getränke darf man hier kostenlos über Nacht stehen bleiben. Strand ist in 8-10 Minuten mit dem Fahrzeug erreichbar. Komme gerne wieder und kann es nur empfehlen!
I stayed one night and confirmed with the bar staff it was ok to do so. No mention of having to buy a meal but I did so anyhow, and it was very nice. The pub itself was busy on a Tuesday night with a lot of people eating. A peaceful nights sleep. Would highly recommend if you're in the area, plus you have Blackpool on your doorstep.
Big flat car park, felt safe, good location to Blackpool. Sadly couldn’t get a table for food. Live music on till late, would definitely use again

Stayed here one night. Parked up got the bus into town to see the lights then back for a meal. Nice and quiet, food good and great service from the staff. Well work a visit.
Very easy to get to,all the staff very friendly,a great range of food and beer all very reasonably priced.Very quiet nights sleep,the motorbike training is on every morning but didn’t disturb us and still plenty of room to park.a bit of a walk to the pleasure beach but doable.Will defo be here again.

Very quiet carpark at the rear of the shovels, no issues at all and only three campers in total when we were there, number 17 bus stop right outside pub 20mins or a 1.5hr walk down to and along the water front to the tower. Great at this time of year as you see all the lights.

Stayed the one night Very welcoming on a main road but not to noisy Pub busy and friendly but closes at 11 please be aware there is Motorcyle training on the carpark on Weekend mornings so Park to the left of carpark or back of Pub Nice stop of
Pub is open again and the staff are still lovely, food is brilliant for the price and the vegan chocolate tort hands down beats any tort I've ever eaten! I rang first but they were very welcoming. Only negative is not much of a view.

Stayed here for 2 nights great place food and prices good, staff very helpful, bus stop outside pub number 17, straight to town centre £2.90 and taxi back £9. Will return here thank you
Lovely pub food and nice spot to stay
Very friendly pub, I called ahead just to check and they had no problem, there was just one section of the car park we couldn’t park in because of bike training but it was big enough that it didn’t matter.
