Palermo, 5 Piazza Capitaneria di Porto

Parking sur le port très bien situé. Deux personnes y vivent à l’année dans un camping-car. Nous y avons parqué facilement. L’un de nous parlait Italien ce qui a aidé. Ils ont assuré la veille de notre camping-car gratuitement lol Nous n’y avons pas passé la nuit mais seulement en stationnement la journée pour la visite. Une nuit est sûrement possible mais nous aurions tendance à le déconseiller car à proximité de la route, d’un bar... Stationnement possible mais difficile pour les camping-cars de plus de 6m50.

That’s a no. The campers there have been there for years and a guard sits outside waving you on and shaking his head. If you don’t move quick enough he’ll come over and reinforce the message. No parking here

Arrived here on a Saturday in beginning of February. Parking lot was full and there was indeed a man guarding the place. Parked just around the corner next to the road at the marina where all locals also parked. Perfect for entering Palermo on foot. Approximately 15 minutes to teatro Massimo and other highlights in the city.

It would have been too perfect if this spot would really suit... unfortunately there is meanwhile a private guard controlling the parking, and he sent me away because of my campervan being too long (7,5m). As I was a bit suprised he then came back to me and proposed to pay 10€, then I could stay one night. But, I had to park the nose on the pedestrian path, which means a big decline for the car. I rejected his offer and drove away. This spot is only of interest for vans max 5m lenght. Any longer vehicle become troubles.

Great spot, we stayed 4 nights without any problem. Right by the sea and close to the old town. Couple of long term campers there who were friendly. Local fishermen on the beach and cars coming & going during the day, but quiet at night. No shade so would be hot in summer but perfect for visiting Palermo off season.

Il s'agit du parking des gardes côtes qui possède quelques places "sauvages". pas de problème en mai, c'est gratuit et on peut y rester. pas mal de passage la nuit mais bien pratique c'est en centre ville et on peut tout faire à pied.
