Stayed here last night with no problems. Very quiet with just few cars coming and going until about 22h. Quite a few dog walkers arriving from 7am but did not disturb us.

  • 4/5

lovely view, I miss the sunset unfortunately. there were a few cars there with teenagers smoking and stuff. but they weren't a bother and kept to them self's and not littered either. I didn't get much sleep due to the strong wind we had that night. hads dog bins, and bins, benches

  • 4/5

Super vue après avoir passé la barrière !! mais en effet pas mal de jeunes le soir qui mettent la musique donc il faut pas avoir envie de dormir tôt.. sinon spot parfait !

  • 3/5

Splendid views from the place. Windy. 2.5 m height restriction with metal gates secured with chain and padlock. So we couldn't enter. At least a lot of young folks in their idling cars smoking after sunset.

  • 5/5

just thought I'd add that the height restriction now says 7ft 4ins which is about 2.23m it was fine for our T4 but do check your van height before entering.

  • 1/5

    2.5m height restriction now .

Extraordinary views. Stayed here the Saturday night after Storm Eunice so was very windy still but sheltered enough to not have to worry. A couple of cars came and went during the night, quiet enough for me, just a few youths enjoying the skyline. Once I went to sleep they never woke me up leaving so can't complain. Height barrier but no signs 20/2/22. Signals really good too (5G on vodaphone) .

  • 1/5

height barrier now closed. Such a shame as they have forced the guy who looked after the area to move on as well.

  • 1/5

Can confirm height barrier is now up and locked. It doesn't say what height it is but I'm sure it's too low for my 2.6m van H2 version. There was a small van in there, I'd say a H1 so any pop tops etc would still fit, didn't look for signs. Car park pretty much empty, such a shame as it has spectacular views

  • 5/5

Great place ,unfortunately just been told height barrier to be locked in 2 weeks time . and no overnight signs going up too. so sad full time van lifers taken to court to move them on , even though they litter pick and plant flowers and generally look after the place. shame on the powers that be.

  • 5/5

Amazing view with lots of spaces. Very windy for us, but sunset was a dream

  • 5/5

Reasonably quiet spot, few cars with music late at night but other untroubled. Great stop off close to the M5.

  • 4/5

Stayed here on a Friday night and it was very busy with lots of campers and motorhomes, their are also a few full time vanlifers here. absolutely stunning views from the viewing point for at least 50 miles. sloped gravel parking. entrance was extremely tight with our 7.5m motorhome. height barrier installed but not working as of this post but please check yourself.

Stayed last weekend for 2 nights, busy in day quiet at night mainly, Saturday night bit more lively with cars and music till late but, it’s a lovely place and we would return maybe weekdays next time

  • 5/5

Great spot, incredible views there was already a couple of campers here. not the most level carpark but 5* for the sunset and stargazing.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot for the night. Drove down from Leeds and wanted to break up our journey to Cornwall, this was the perfect spot. Few peeps in larger campers on one side and space for smaller ones facing the views. Felt safe and was chilled. Would deffo go again. :)

  • 5/5

Great spot to stop for the night. It was very busy when I arrived but it was a sunny Sunday afternoon. It was however lovely and peacful in the evening. The view btw are amazing and I watched the sun set over the Black Mountains. There are also lovely woodland walks from the car park. Highly recommended!

Nice and peaceful after the dog walkers all go home

  • 4/5

Great view. Windy but plenty of space, some with a little shelter. Great walks too.

  • 5/5

Wonderful place, very convenient for a layover if heading for Devon/Cornwall. Spectacular views and some nice walks. highly recommended.

  • 5/5

Beautiful place with stunning views and walks, good amount of spaces but does get very busy, defo worth a visit

  • 5/5

Peaceful, amazing views. Wish we had got there before sunset. Other campervan there, but not busy. Dog walkers in the evening and morning. Don’t use the postcode. Search for coaley peak view point and you will find it no problem.

  • 5/5

Beautiful views and lovely people, stayed here two nights, 3 days and honestly felt so safe and peaceful. highly recommend.

  • 5/5

Spent a wonderful day here, views and sunset are spectacular. Lots of dog walkers to chat to, very friendly area. No services, busy in the evening but quiet from about 12 and felt safe. Entrance/exit is very tight in a 7.5m motorhome. Lots of space to park, will definitely return

  • 5/5

Brilliant stop off, lovely views, peaceful night sleep. Highly recommended. No services and leave with what you bring.

  • 5/5

Great place to stop-over for a few very calm and peaceful nights. Lovely views from the top of the hill and stunning sunsets. Sufficient space for campervans and large motorhomes. No services or rubbish bins so bring what you need and take the trash with you :-)

  • 4/5

Lovely place to stay. Very busy but plenty of space. No bins so please take your rubbish with you.

  • 5/5

Great place to stop. Beautiful views for sunset. The post code didn't get us near but searching Coaley Peak Picnic site in Waze lead us straight here

  • 5/5

Lovely place to stay although very windy so get a spot behind the trees where you’re slightly more sheltered. Amazing sunset and views. We weren’t disturbed at all, a few cars coming and going but nothing too bad.

  • 4/5

Great spot, lovely views, shame the young ones like to play there music very loudly.

  • 3/5

Beautiful view and a very popular place. evening was also very busy due to the fact that people were coming for the sunset. However at night because it was so busy they were a lot of slamming of doors repeatedly and engines turning on and off. Then at about 3 a.m. The police turned up to move on some of the more noisy culprits (singular cars who were none campers). Then relative peace.

  • 4/5

Lovely views - is clearly quite a popular beauty spot, lots of families and bbq’s. Bit busy, we didn’t get hassled and had a good nights sleep.

  • 5/5

Great Park up for the night - very peaceful and met with beautiful views in the morning. A couple of picnic benches around as well!

  • 4/5

Très bon spot. Un peu de monde le matin, des promeneurs avec leurs chiens.

  • 4/5

Great view, very high up. Plenty of room for parking but can be quite windy in places. The entrance is a little tight but managed to get my van in (6 meters long).

  • 4/5

Really nice place among nature with a great view. We had a decent night sleep. There were few cars coming and going all night. Even at 3am. But it is free so you can’t really complain.

  • 4/5

Some level spots can be found on this picnic area. Others on a gentle slope. Great place for an afternoon walk and stopover. Nice views too.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot with a fantastic view and great dog walks plus a saxon burial monument. Downsite is that its a local jogging spot. Enjoy :-)

  • 5/5
