Enjoyed a quiet night with little noise. a gem of a stopover at a bargain price

Great place to stay. Overnight parking with 7m motorhome no problem. Few other camper/motorhomes. Safe in centre. Paid the suggested £5 donation in the honesty box. Road is quite busy, so best to park a bit away if the road,

A lovely quiet car park to stay in. There are toilets when the centre is open, 10-5. The cafe was lovely and the staff were friendly. There were 3 other campers/motorhomes when I was there. It felt safe and had some lovely dog walks

Great stopover. Friendly staff when centre open 10-5. Toilets and cafe inside. Don’t be like the German Cathargo pay the £5 otherwise we’ll lose these facilities

safe, lit till 8, honesty box, nice river walks, a great supermarket and take aways near by. Road can be abit busy, but with ear plugs, good night's sleep. Nice stop

We stayed one night. Quiet over night. Parked in the long bays by the centre (there are 3 coach bays). There is an honesty box for all parking. We spoke to the staff, very help and happy for us to spend the night. The suggested donation was £5 and we got an info leaflet. There is fresh water and toilets (while the centre is open). Lovely walks nearby.

Honesty box to stay overnight or pay indoors, the staff in the centre are very helpful. Lots of lovely river walks and 14 minutes walk from Stokesay Castle across fields. Ate in the Stokesay Inn which has friendly locals. Fresh water tap on site, ideal for self contained campers. Quiet overnight.

yes, it's just a car park, but it's a cracking car park. staff here are very welcoming and felt very safe here.

  • 5/5

Lovely place to stay, friendly and helpful staff in the Discovery Centre. We made a donation for water and over stay £10. Bins on site and toilets available when the centre is open. Great forward thinking by the managers to allow overnight stops.

What a lovely place to stay at, beautiful walks and no restrictions. You put a donation in at the reception and that's it. Just relax and enjoy. Our two little dogs loved it too. Respect it by picking up your dog mess and leave no rubbish. Had a lovely meal at The Stables. Everyone very friendly.

Great location, lovely walking in the nature reserve. Nice cafe and free toilets. If you park in the 3 long spaces in the corner you are furthest from road, close to the tap and can pick up the Wifi.

Second time staying here - great location. Road is noisy but never bothers me and quietens between about 11-5.

  • 5/5

My £5 donation was gratefully received by lovely staff. Came in afternoon, explored the 30 acre nature reserve & walked to Stokesey Castle (only open weekends in winter) After great nights sleep I walked really steep climb to nearby hill-fort & back. Treated myself to sticky toffee pudding & coffee in cafe (£5.65) & bought couple of cards as it all helps to support the Discovery Centre.

  • 5/5

    Awesome spot. Water very accessible.

  • 4/5

Nice little car park close to town centre but you have to bear in mind it’s right next to a busy road.

  • 3/5

Great little stop if it’s late .Quite close to main road so a little noisy .Discovery centre staff were great and loads of info on walks etc in the area. Craven Arms itself is quite quiet. Two of the pubs were shut ,couple of takeaways and a pizza/Indian restaurant.

Large car park. We parked here overnight and payed our donation. Next day we walked to Stokesay Castle, via the hills (not along the road) to enjoy the views. Only takes about 20mins. Quite quiet at night but still near to a road so you do hear the odd vehicle. Not much to do or see in the town itself and the Discovery centre has a cafe and a gift shop, Or pay £5 to go and explore the centre more

  • 4/5

I'll give it a 4 as it is really nice of them to allow overnight camping and I will donate more than the £1 they ask for a suggested donation. The pub nearby is OK, friendly but new staff. You are going to be near the road & I don't care what the others say, it is a thoroughfare for lorries and you will have them trundling throughout the night but peaceful otherwise, no kids/ neds (sorry chavs).

As others say. several lovely walks from centre. staff very welcoming. not idyllic but free & safe.

  • 5/5

Great spot. Stayed one night. Little road noise & sadly pubs now closed but did possibly mean less noise. No facilities just Parking and suggested donation of £1.00. Centre open daily 10.00-5.00 but no issue parking outside even when centre closed. Ideal spot to break journey travelling from South Wales to north England.

  • 4/5

Road noise fades out late in the evening. although the gates are locked at 6 theres side entry adjacent the gate used by the locals on an evening stroll or walking dogs. Felt safe. Three long bays adjacent the centre but close, probably designed to accept coaches, no issues re parking around the edge for small Van's and a couple of usable bays can fit 7mtr with the overhang over the grass.

We stayed for one night. Great location off main road on edge of the village. No charge but an honesty box for donations. Lovely walks from the centre and it has a cafe shop and toilets which you can use until closing time at 5 pm. Gates are locked overnight. Pub adjacent which serves food. Quiet enough although a little road noise but nothing major. staff at centre very welcoming.
