    No longer overnight parking :)

  • 1/5

Was a previously used spot but now no longer allowed to park overnight.

  • 1/5

new Historic Scotland sign stating "no "overnight" for motorhomes. I was informed that it includes the whole car park outside the soap company as well as opposite to the castle.

  • 4/5

Stayed overnight on 3rd January. Some light traffic back and forward to the soap factory but virtually nothing after about 7 pm. Cycled into town (10 mins) for dinner. Had a couple of cars appear at around 10pm, teenagers I reckon, didn't cause any trouble and cleared off after 15 mins. Otherwise a quiet night. Woke up to snow! Would stay here again.

    Super cadre, plutôt calme

  • 5/5

Great spot. Almost level. It’s simply a small lay-by on a barley used road next to the ruins of the castle. Good EE signal. A bin

  • 5/5

Great stopover. Very quiet at night and the cafe in the Highland soap factory center does a great breakfast. You could probably fit 4 vans comfortably depending on size.

  • 5/5

Very quiet at night. Quite busy with other vans. Has a rubbish bin. Good 4G signal. Great coffee at the soap company.

  • 5/5

We stayed for one night on a Saturday. There were 2 other vans also. Very quiet overnight with only a little road noise. Walked the dog in the castle grounds which was lovely.

  • 5/5

Quiet little lay-by for 1 night next to the ruins and a river, hard standing.Tv signal & WiFi.Dogs enjoyed the walk around it. Amazing breakfast & fab coffee in the Hand made soap company next to it & lovely shop to buy natural products. Great views of Ben Nevis. Winner !

  • 5/5

A great place to stay for the night. With tv signal and 4g. Close to Fort William. Levelled up with 2 wheels on the kerb.

  • 5/5

Quiet secluded place for 4-5 Vans directly in front of Old Inverlochy Castle. Highland Soap Company with a great Café nearby and there is a River just behind the Castle. No other facilities but very good signal 3G / 4G. Stayed for 1 night, would definitely recommend!

  • 5/5

Amazing! Stayed here after completing Ben Nevis late, was only 1 car on arrival. Beautiful walk round the castle in the morning, and only a short walk to M&S and Home Bargains for supplies.

  • 4/5

Fantastic little spot close to Fort William Town centre. Doesn't feel like you're in the city at all. Lovely places to wander and walk. No problems parking up, there were 4 vans when we stayed on 14/8/21 and plenty of room

  • 1/5

Really annoyed, turned up at this lovely spot, lots of vans, two with Massive gaps between. We could have fitted in two spaces easily but people parked selfishly.

  • 5/5

Stayed here on 11/08/2021, lovely quiet road, 1 car and 1 campervan already parked when we arrived quite late. If you walk through the castle there is a beautiful river and bridge, a lovely place to have a breakfast picnic☺️

  • 5/5

Excellent spot, mountains on one side and castle and river on the other. Had a really good nights sleep. Café on site in the Highland Soap Co and town just a walk away. Definitely recommend this spot.

  • 5/5

Place for 4 vans. Secluded, quiet and about 20-25 mins walk into town centre or £10 in a taxi

  • 5/5

This has to be one of my favourite spots to date. Set away from the road, a beautiful location and it felt like we had our own castle! In the morning we set up our table and chairs in the grounds to eat breakfast like royalty! There was 3 other camper vans there but they kept themselves to themselves. Some young people arrived to explore and have fun in the castle but did not disturb us.

  • 5/5

Great hidden spot, arrived at night, so felt slightly spooky, but in the morning I realised how pretty, clean and nice the place is. Also, there were a couple of campervans parked up for the night. And as someone mentioned, people start going to work very early ~6-7ish am. No one stopped and asked what am I doing there though; they were friendly and said hello while passing by when I was packing.

  • 4/5

Not a bad park up, there’s a bin but no other facilities. Disturbed by historic Scotland workers setting up at 7am but otherwise a peaceful night

  • 5/5

Great little spot. slightly noisy with the birds of a morning. However, it does have the advantages of being a flat tarmac surface to park on with the Scottish soap company shop close by for chilling with a coffee, having brunch and charging points for laptops etc.

  • 5/5

Fantastic wee spot to park for the night. We had no problems and great walks. There is a couple of petrol stations within walking distance that you can use facilities please don’t use the ruins as there is toilet paper everywhere and spoiling the area.

  • 5/5

Brilliant space to stop over . large spacious lay by overlooking the castle ruins and river bank nice and quiet . soap shop cafe and children’s outdoor play area at the end of the road . great dog walking area too . excellent ! there are no parking restriction signs . we did have an early morning ‘beeper’ but it’s just post covid lockdown fears and they’re getting used to seeing tourers in the area again but this has ‘been the usual throughout scotland’ from 1-20 may 21

  • 5/5

Just spent two lovely quiet nights here and thought I would update. There's now space for 5 or 6 small vans or motorhomes on a fairly flat tarmac. The construction site is now a lovely soap shop with a small cafe attached selling quality bacon and sausage rolls and the best hot chocolate ever. Well worth the effort for the 40 minute stroll into Fort William.

  • 5/5

Great little spot for a quiet night, don’t understand the previous point about fines as no parking restrictions in place. Camped, walked into town for shopping and left. Perfect!

  • 5/5

Stayed here for one night 29/07/2020 very quiet. Construction going on nearby so traffic in the morning. Got told by the bin men that the parking warden is checking that area and fines are been issued. He said it is best to vacate before 07:30.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Quiet little pull in, enough space for 3 campers. Right opposite the ruins of Inverlochy castle. No amenities but little bin available for rubbish. Small construction site at the end of the road, so a few vans passing during the evening but very quiet and dark at night time.

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet location thanks to council. Please leave tidy. Stayed 10th December 2019.

  • 5/5

Great spot very quiet rubbish bin provided. Thanks to local council.

  • 5/5

Quiet spot arrived late on our way up to Highlands and woke up to a great view. Small lay-by would fit 2 vans

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Nice quiet location as described just outside town. Narrow weak bridge so small vans advised

  • 4/5

Quiet location. Only enough room for 2 campers. Lovely waking up by a 13th century ruin.

  • 5/5

Nice quiet place at the edge of town, mainly level. Off the main highway. Parking for about 4 campers only. Good 4G reception. Walking distance to Esso petrol station for snacks/propane.

  • 5/5

Sitio muy tranquilo y en la puerta de un castillo. Recomendable. Únicamente hay que tener en cuenta que durante el dia si hay movimiento (visitas al castillo)
