Stayed 30-Sep-23. Quiet night. Sign states gates locked at 7PM but no one came. Paid £2 cash at machine which gives you till 23:59 that night so paid again in morning to enjoy for the day. Multiple fairly level spots some with views into the river. Could hear some train horns into the night but not too bad. Single rubbish bin at the far end but no other facilities.

Unbedingt besichtigen.

Stayed here on on wet Wednesday September eve … quiet spot riverside spot … parked just outside carpark as says gates close at 7pm but no one closed them. Warden came and emptied the parking fee box in morning (£2 cash). We walked to the pub across the footbridge , did a river walk in AM then went to The arboretum . Lots of friendly fishermen and a quiet night - best for small vans /campers.

Search ‘UPPER ARLEY CAR PARK’ in google maps. The GPS provided here DOES NOT take you to the location . Slept here very quiet no one else around right next to river. Beautiful x

Très agréable arrêt en bord de rivière (penser à faire un demi tour sur le parking en face de l’entrée car le virage est très serré). Nous nous garés avant la barrière, sans payer. Personne n’est venu.

A perfect stop over for a very quiet night. I parked on the grass by the river just before the gate and was not disturbed. There are no facilities, so leave no trace...

Had a lovely nights sleep. Gates to car park close at 7pm but the guy who locked them came and said to park just outside the gates for the night. Super chill, £2 for all day (cash only) but isn’t monitored. Lovely spot by the river with great walks

grassy, very quiet car park. we even put a tent up. the road has quite low hanging branches, they brushed the top of our 2,6m high van. In the morning a guy stopped and said that overnight parking is not really permitted and we shouldn't stay another night. But there isn't a sign and not sure how official this guy was.

Right on the river £2 to park. A good amount of space a few other vans and day time fishing. Walk to pub, Tearoom and village shop. There is a fish and chip shop too. Evening sun to charge jackery. Peaceful place can hear sheep birds and Cockerell in the distance.

The post code doesn't take you to this park up - it takes you to a Highley village car park which is also very nice but no river view.

Stayed here overnight Feb ‘22. £2 until midnight. Very quiet, saw a few fishermen in the morning. No other cars / vans parked in the lot. Pretty view of the river and great walking. Grass was a bit wet and we’re nervous of digging it all up trying to leave in the morning after some rain, so left one tire on the tar down the middle of the lot and had no problems.

Lovely spot, quiet and surrounded by nature. Great place to drop the kayak in and paddle to near by Bewdley with one class 1 rapid to enjoy. Car park entrance is a tight left turn so use the car car park opposite to turn around and adjust your entrance angle, Much easier. Great walks to be had up and down the river from here as well as decent barbel fishing

Stayed here a few days ago, agree with all the positive comments. However, a member of staff from the Arley estate politely informed us the following morning that we were not allowed to stay here. There are no signs forbidding overnight stays and he did say that they didn't mind 1 or 2 small vans. Perhaps they should put in 1 or 2 bays for vans and charge a fiver?

A tight turn down a short narrow lane to a large grassy car park popular with fishermen. A nice riverside walk direct from the car park. Sheep in the fields so dogs must be leashed. Some early morning noise on a Sunday morning from fishermen arriving for a competition.

Toilets still closed but everything else is open. thoughly recommended.

£2 parking until midnight, lovely & peaceful, parked right by the river. Would highly recommend a visit *quick note to fishermen, it is BAA water

Stayed here one night, quite a tight entry with a sharp left after the bridge. Beautiful, quiet area, popular with anglers. I arrived after the shop had closed and didn't have change so I left a note on the window and paid the next day. Fell asleep to the lull of sheep from across the river and woke with the sounds of a local steam train passing in the distance. I'd definitely visit again.

Stopped last night mhome 5.7 m 2.85 high (be tricky if much longer).£4 as £2 to 12pm.Grass parking at side of hard track by river poss soft if tons of rain. Quaint village, decent beer in pub. Parked at an angle to keep level lots of space but could get busy in season.Sharp left straight after the narrow bridge signed public toilets-can back in car park on right to make turn

Stayed here in a campervan for one night. car park was busy at first but only a few vans remained by 9pm. Great pub over the footbridge for food and ale. Toilets closed due to covid. £2 until midnight. Quiet night and great location.

Lovely stop and walks along the Severn, but not suitable for high top vans. Low hanging branches and very tight turn.

We stayed here last night, our first trip in our first camper van. Loved it, so pleased we chose here for our first trip. £2 for all day. We arrived around 430pm and left around 1130am, riverside parking, open the van doors and walk straight down the river bank. Very quiet. Only about 4 vans by approx 8pm. Cars came around 8am Sunday morning, still very quiet. Got relatively busy by the time we were leaving. Rubbish bins up the one end. Canoe hire opposite the entrance.

Lovely spot close to the river, nice and quiet despite a couple of other vans. *we found it easier to put in the location of the Arley arboretum, as our sat nav took us to the wrong location initially*

  • 5/5

Great spot! Stayed here the night, really quiet in the evenings. £2 for parking all day which is excellent value nowadays! public toilets were closed due to covid19 which is understandable. all in all fantastic spot!

Stayed here, lovely quiet spot overlooking the river. £2 parking

  • 5/5

Lovely spot, the parking cost is a day ticket so expires at midnight..bought another one when we got up to be on the safe side although very quiet and nobody checking. Lovely pub just across the footbridge well worth a visit, great food

Quiet, cheap and safe. Public toilet open all hours. There is an Aboritum in the town for something to do. Right access for big motorhomes.

There are a couple of pubs within walking distance that also do food, Trains running from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, Public toilets 2 min walk (open only daytimes) , a cafe/tea rooms and post office/shop a few doors up, loverly views and walks and it's just £2 a day! ?
