Prachtige plek!

  • 5/5

Favorite place we parked. Gorgeous views with heaps of seals around, and nice and quiet after about 8pm. Didn’t see any otters, but they are rumored to hang out around here.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Toller Platz um Seehunde zu beobachten!

  • 5/5

Stayed last week, great stop over with the castle ruin behind.

  • 5/5

lovely spot. abundant wildlife quiet road after around 10pm. unfortunately 1 of the 4 vans parked lengthways in the parking area.camped up when we arrived tv blurring out. Still there when we went. Please be considerate to other people, such as locals and nature and bird watchers. if you don't the signs will go up and we will all suffer

  • 5/5

Toller Platz. Ruhig und viel Natur. Phantastisch!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Decent place to stop with great views. Not a lot of traffic. No services as others have said.

  • 5/5

Quiet carpark with enough room for several vans. Just the two of us parked up on a nice evening, watched the seals on the sandbank in the evening and were surprised to see them again in the morning. Overall nice quiet location, easy to get to.

  • 4/5

Easy to find, just off A9. Quiet, right on the edge of Loch Fleet and a gorgeous place for spotting seals! No facilities but no prob as we have our own. Make sure you don't park in one of the many passing places (but they are all marked).

  • 5/5

No facilities. The area around is sparse private fenced off land with cctv signs. Probably not suitable for anyone without full facilities

  • 5/5

Lovely place, great views, relatively quiet and you seen a the seals on the sand banks! First night stay of our trip and we were v happy

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Lovely spot, with views of the bay, seals and the castle ruins. Saw the Northern Lights, which was awesome! A local chap pulled up and gave us loads of info on the aurora. He was very friendly. Some other locals, not so much - a good few went speeding by blasting their horns. W*nkers! Bins for rubbish, and good 4g signal on Vodafone. Quiet night, other than the kn*bhead hornblowers.

  • 5/5

Great spot, quiet and amazing views

  • 5/5

Mooie rustige plek, veel zeehonden te zien!

  • 5/5

Nice and quiet place. Not much cars passing by at night. Use wastebins to keep it a clean and nice place for campers and locals.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night, quiet and amazing view. One of the best places we stayed on this trip. Can see lots of seals.

  • 5/5

Breathtaking views. Only the sound of nature.

  • 5/5

Quiet road, other campers were there so felt more safe. No problems at all and woke up to a beautiful view and seals! Would stay again

  • 5/5

Saw seals in the morning, nice view and bins provided. Was told about this place by a highland council ranger

  • 5/5

This overnight spot was definitely a highlight of my trip! it is such a stunning view, we managed to see the sunset and sunrise and it was just gorgeous. there was only 2 other motorhomes there when we were there and the road was quiet throughout the night with the odd car stopping in the evening bins available too. we saw no seals but we sure did hear them in the early hours if the morning/night

  • 5/5

Beautiful little spot on a very quiet country road, barely any cars passed all evening from 6pm through to 8am next morning. There were another 2 motorhomes with us, no noise, tidy, clean and there are bins for any rubbish. Woke to beautiful views of seals next morning, stunning.

  • 5/5

Popular place for wild camping, 6 motorhome a when we parked but amazing views and even some seals popped up in morning to say hello.

  • 5/5

Incredible spot. Listed as daily parking spot but no signs to suggest this is the case and a others staying along here. There were a few passing cars in the evening / early morning but barely any through the night. Stayed here in a RTT and were woken at 5 am by seals splashing in the water (worse things to be woken by) there were probably 40-50 swimming around / laying on the beach all morning.

  • 5/5

Ticked every box, really nice place. no more than couple of vehicles passed by over night. about 4 other mohos, but everyone is very considered and no issues at all. we were lucky to see the seals too.

  • 5/5

Great spot! Fantastic view of the seals in the morning. Quite busy with visitors until 7:30pm but plenty of room to stay overnight.

  • 5/5

    Busy spot but super beautiful!

  • 5/5

We parked in another little layby just up the road from the one marked on the map. 2 other vehicles and there was probably space for one other. Spectacular views across the Loch Fleet Nature Reserve and watching all the seals was breathtaking. No amenities but nature at its best. definitely recommend to anyone.

  • 5/5

Wow! lovely place and seals everywhere!

  • 5/5

Great spot to stay. Beautiful views of the Loch and the seals swimming in the water and lying on the sand. Peaceful, flat and out of the way location.

  • 5/5

Fab location, with views of the loch and castle ruins. Super peaceful, great for seal and bird spotting. No facilities other than rubbish bins so you do need to be self sufficient.

  • 5/5

A lovely spot that was really peaceful, loads of space for more vans (we got here at 11pm), views of the loch and seals. Big bin to put your rubbish. View of ruins of the castle. Would highly recommend.

  • 5/5

We arrived late and only one parking place left, it was low tide so we saw lots of seals basking on the sandbars. We left around 10:30am and donated to the My Park Scotland, the code is beside the information board.

  • 5/5

Lovely place with amazing views of seals especially at low tide when they are on the sand flats. Small sign suggesting a donation online or text towards the upkeep of area which we were happy to do since such a great location. No facilities apart from a waste bin. Felt very safe and nice and quiet.

  • 5/5

Great spot for the night. Very quiet although close to the road. You'll be surrounded by nature. One of the best spots we've stayed in our motorhome trip in Scotland.

  • 5/5

Wonderfully calm spot. Spotted the seals bobbing around within 5 mins of pulling up.

  • 5/5

Nice spot where you can see seals

  • 5/5

Lovely and quiet spot for about four vans. saw the seals and had a flat pitch. recommended.

  • 5/5

Stopped to look at seals lovely place

  • 5/5

Amazing place very quiet, the odd car going past at night. The morning views were stunning across loch fleet, seals and birds everywhere a true nature haven! Has bins which is handy!

  • 5/5

We arrived at 17:45, there was only one space left for our 6m van. Beautiful spot overlooking the Loch with seals basking on the sand bank. Thoroughly entertained by Mr toot toot at 21:30, 06:00 driving by scaring the sheep and the seals, I'm glad that motorhomers have greater consideration for the area.

  • 5/5

Just wow. there are two spots you can reasonably pick here. If travelling up from Dornoch, the first on your right has more room, a bin but more people park there. there is a spot further along that is usually quiet and is marked with an information board. I found this one to be the best.

  • 5/5

Loved this spot, very peaceful (the odd car passing by but nothing to put us off). Views of the castle ruins and plenty of seals about... Laid in bed with the camper doors open for ages watching them in the morning!

  • 3/5

Perfect for seal and birds spotting. we arrived at 9pm and the place was almost full with other campervans- not that many places to park. an angry local drove by in the early hours of the morning beeping along the roads where campervans were parked.

  • 5/5

Very peaceful night, amazing scenery. Bring binoculars to watch the seals playing. No sign of locals never mind bother.

  • 4/5

Can be noisy at night as right next to road. Very close to seals which is nice too see. 2 areas to stop at along that stretch of road

  • 1/5

Enjoyed seeing the seals and birds. the old castle. shame about the smell and the diving seagulls . take the food out your mouth just about . local traffic is much more frequent that previously stayed and they shout at you tyres on the van were down in the morning creeped out knowing someone was about the van when we slept

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

A good stopover point. S ome road noise up to about 10pm but quiet overnight. Rubbish bins but no amenities.

  • 4/5

Direkt an der Straße, trotzdem recht ruhig, toller Blick, Seehunde weit entfernt, Fernglas ein Muss!

  • 5/5

Best spot, seals up to 20 meters and a wonderful view of the castle ruins. highly recommended

  • 5/5

Excellent overnight stop. Quiet with great views over loch. We saw seals several times particularly at low tide. Lovely walk along shore line. Close to ruined castle.

  • 5/5

Superbe spot

  • 4/5

Magnifique point de vue, 4 camping-cars sur place. Calme et sérénité, repos total.
