Having parked here before for free, disappointed to find it is now pay and display. cost was £5 for 6am till 11pm. parking overnight is permitted.

We stayed here on Saturday the 2nd December, quiet car park 2.5m barrier, and one other van parked up no other veichles after 9pm until about 8 in the morning. the harbour cctv covers the car park. Nice clean toilet in the harbour office, cafe building (use the cafe if you use the toilet out of courtesy). We would recommend the Mayquay pub, great food and resonable prices. very dog friendly.

Stayed one night, agree with last post very quite. Cafe is great, there rarebit is lovely! Opens at 09:30 for a great breakfast on a Sunday. Would come again.

lovely quiet carpark fully tarmacked.. FREE!! the toilet are located inside the centre between the cafe and bike hire.. there is a pub nearby which is friendly. happily stay again! food in the cafe is lovely, serving breakfast rolls and full English (Welsh?) plus a selection of cakes, cream teas and sandwiches. worth the stay and will return.

Perfect for overnight. Barrier at 2.5m. No width restrictions, tarmac parking bays clearly marked. Stayed 3 nights here as i was working nearby, not one issue. Access is great. Nearby is 2 pubs of which I recommend the Mayquay. Cheap meals for everyone and nice food. I will use this whenever i come back to Rhyl. No toilets at night. Plenty of other vans here whilst i was. Good spot

Friday night, we were the only ones in the car park overnight. There were at least eight motorhomes on the road before the height barrier. The car park was busy until around 23.00pm. As some people were eating takeaways in their cars or were dog walkers. Quiet night but as your next to the boat yard. There were alot of fishermen turning up around 7am.

Good stop over and overnight. The toilets weren’t open but you can get into the harbor masters next to the cafe until 5 ish. One other here overnighted with me, no disturbances other than dog walker in the early morning.

stayed here for one night. Was very peaceful and a lovely sunrise. fitted under the 2.5m barrier with my transporter. would definitely stay again.

Stayed on a Saturday night with no disturbances. Busy during daylight hours, but no one other than me overnighting. Very well lit car park with plenty of bins. Toilets appear to be locked permanently. Good for dog walking.

Stayed one night, and managed to get under 2.5 mtr barrier okay with my LWB Movano, young couple parked right beside us playing music an sounding the horn at 1 am other than that everything was fine except for the toilets closed, water available at slipway. Supermarkets walking distance just over the bridge. Plenty of activiy during the day, boats coming and going, nice cafe, fishing takle shop.

Lovely spot close to harbour and beach. cafe open from 9am. toilets open from 9 to 5. not sure how much longer this will be available for as an overnight stop though. A chap in the visitor centre said they are looking to stop it in the coming weeks.

We used the car park for 1 night. We had a quiet night , felt perfectly safe. There was 2 larger vans outside the height barrier on the access road. There was an absolutely stunning sunset which lit up the sky red.

  • 5/5

Felt safe, good night sleep and nice area for a little walk, cafe nearby for a brew in the morning, would definitley stay again. 2.5 meter barrier but other larger vans stayed just outside the barrier

Parked here the day before for a night only one there, nice and quiet, dog walkers from 6 am and the ropes of the boat do bang in the wind. Will use again next week for 2 days.

No toilets or facilities but maybe a bit early in the year.. plenty across the bridge tho and 2 local pubs... peaceful night and good views from the beach 100yds away..just dogwalkers early in cars but not many and still quiet.. 2.5m barrier which my Hightop renault master fitted under.. fine for an overnighter..

Stayed here last night. Quiet place, barrier 2.5 meters (suitable for our VW T6) a few dog walkers at night time but apart from that it’s quiet. About 10 minutes drive down the road there is a beach called ‘Pensarn beach’ where you can also park for free and it’s much better. Still can’t fault this place though.

We spent a very quiet night here. We were the only van here overnight. lovely walks to both Rhyl in one direction and Kinmel Bay in the other. As others have said Aldi is in walking distance. A very good and peaceful night here.

Arrived in morning and only one space free. It was lovely. So near to harbour and beautiful beach with sand dune nature reserves. Then just over bridge to retail park with Aldi, Greggs etc. Couldnt fault it. Quiet at night and no funny looks in my Trafic stealth van!

  • 2/5

Not able to get under barrier,so stopped on the road outside, very quite.

Our first stop off from Bolton in Betty our campervan... No toilet sign up. Stayed overnight in transit campervan, we were the only ones there overnight... Quite a few spaces and a 5 min walk to a lovely big beach. Nice area to walk around the harbour and major stores nearby. It was free and we had a toilet in the van... Slept well.

  • 4/5

We arrived around 5.30 in a converted transit, got under the barrier ok , plenty of cctv so very safe, quiet spot at night, toilets were closed when we arrived. Nice walk to the beach and a fabulous sunset.

  • 4/5

2.2m van so got under the barrier ok. Toilets were locked when we arrived at 530pm. free parking overnight, no restrictions. Really well lit area. lots of visitors until 11pm. Short walk over bridge to large Lidl and The Range. fab dog walking over wooden boardwalk over sand dunes. We were the only overnighters but felt very safe.
