Perfect little spot for a night or two. Absolutely quiet at night. Flat surface 3 bar signal on EE 4g. Clean, warmToilets open in the morning till the shop/caffe closes. £10 overnight 8pm-8am after which normal car parking charges apply, £15 for the full 24 hours. Pay via machine or via the app (you can even book a spot on the app). Fantastic walks on great paths straight from the car park.

Charming quiet place with playground and a cafe+toilets. Don’t worry if you don’t have coins to pay for parking, you can make a card payment in the cafe. Beautiful surroundings.

Stopped next to the playground, had a very quiet night. Got to watch the barn owl doing it’s rounds and red deer in the morning. Paid via the internet which was simple enough.

Good little stop, I read on here that you can pay online but we had to drive to find 10x £1 coins for the ticket machine. toilets were closed overnight but open at 9am. wardens in Landrovers pottering about checking everything is in order and that you've paid! Nice looking café for Breakfast. and a play area right next to the carpark for the kids.

Great quiet place, large grass field off the main car park. Has a small shop and toilets open day time. Self contained motorhomes only £10 overnight but ends at 9am next morning and the rangers come and check evenings and next day, but can get a couple of extra hours for £1.50.

Beautiful spot, shame cars full of teen lads smoking weed made us so uncomfortable we ended up leaving.

What a spot! So quiet and peaceful. I stay here quite often and I've never known any trouble or noise through the night. Excellent place to stay for a tenner.

  • 5/5

Nice and quiet. toilets open early for your morning needs. pay by app

We arrived approx 9.30pm and the toilets were locked and no other facilities available. We had no change for the machine but just paid in the morning. Wardens extremely friendly. The car park had plenty of spaces and our son enjoyed the park and our dog enjoyed the dog park. There is a shop and cafe, but serves cold food only and machine tea/coffee which was fine. Good stay overall.

Good place to stop. There's actually two parking area plus an overflow car park. £10 gets you 15 hours! It feels safe with the gates locked. However, absolutely no facilities for water or waste just a public loo.

  • 4/5

Great spot to stay for just £10 for the night. Lovely walks near by and visitor centre open till 5pm. Toilets on site but only open till 8pm and not through the night. If you have your own facilities then great.

  • 5/5

Great place for a night , £10 charge, coins in machines or you can pay with card in the visitors centre during open hours , ranger patrolling during evening , various different car parks to stay at including a nice big grass field next to the cafe , toilets open during the day

Arrived late, plenty of spots available. Paid in the morning - cash or card in the visitor centre.

Great site, we parked near the Dam, very quite only 3 vans there. Highly recommended

  • 5/5

The parking at the reservoir was full so the barrier was closed. Signs say to go to the grass for overnight parking. Plenty of space, felt safe, other couple of vans there, toilets open all the night, 10£ overnight parking (machines only accept coins but can pay by card at the cafe).

  • 5/5

Brilliant spot, very quiet, brilliant play park and the toilets open all night. £10 fee payable at the machine or in the shop. Short walk to the reservoir dam and walking and cycling options.

  • 5/5

Beautiful place to park, but we ended up near the toilets, because the midge’s were out in force at the reservoir.

  • 5/5

Superb site. Very helpful warden who advised the Dam car park. Amazing view to wake up to. Quiet, safe and secure. Still £10 for the night

As we were leaving it was a nice surprise to find the shop open, another friendly warden and great coffee for sale!

Lovely location, very helpful and friendly wardens.

Great place for the night, quiet we paid £10 in the shop on the card but you have to get there whilst the shop is open otherwise you have to use coins. Toilet facilities open all night and a park for kids to play in if you have them. highly recommended

We stayed here for a night. Really quiet lots of space, only one parking area now as there is a barrier across to stop you getting to the reservoir where the other 2 areas are. Would definitely stay again.

Une aire de pique-nique avec quelques tables, des toilettes correctes, des lapins, des faisans, des oies qui passent, un lac, superbe, sauf le prix 10£ pour la nuit. Mais trés bien quand même

  • 5/5

Perfect and safe. £10 per night into machine. lovely views and walks. onsite toilet (basic). benches by Resevoir. various car parks to choose from.
