Stayed for one night before heading onto Keswick in the morning. Quite a few potholes but lots of space. Popped into the pub for a drink and some food - nice and cosy (with a fire) + friendly bar staff.
Parking privé du pub au White Horse Inn. De la place pour quelques camping-cars et de nombreuses camionnettes dans leur parc. Nourriture convenable pour des prix modérés. Ils ont le quiz à 21h mercredi soir, ce qui est très amusant. Libre de rester la nuit aussi longtemps que vous achetez de la nourriture ou des boissons. Chien amical à l'intérieur du pub. Parking entouré d'arbres. WiFi à l'intérieur
Pub parking lot at the White Horse Inn. Room for a few motorhomes and plenty of vans in their lot. Decent food for moderate prices. They have the quiz at 9pm on Wednesday night which is a lot of fun. Free to stay the night as long as you purchase food or drink. Dog friendly inside the pub. Parking lot surrounded by trees. Wi-Fi inside.

Stopped for the night on route to Keswick after finishing a very wet walk at Brotherswater! The open fire was roaring. The staff were amazing. Even the locals were friendly. The food was gorgeous too. Had a wonderful night and would definitely recommend. No payment required, just a drink/food in the bar. Flat car park up off the main road.

The owner of the pub allowed us to stay overnight at the parking lot. We had a beer in the pub which is nice and also dog friendly.

jkwolz16/05/2023Wir kamen mit einem 6 Meter langen Campervan gerade so um die Kurve herum, kamen aber auch von der falschen Straßenseite, von der anderen wäre mehr Platz einfach gerade hoch. Auf dem Parkplatz war dann genügend Platz. Der Besitzer weißt aber auch darauf hin, dass es ungeeignet für größere Fahrzeuge ist, wenn man vorher anruft. First come first Serve. Essen war einsame Spitze!

Great spot for SWB campers. No facilities but great welcoming pub, great food, and great spot to hike Blencathra. ⛰

We stayed last night in our purgeot boxer and managed to find one place we could put it as it's super tight. Better suited for T5 size van. No facilities but a lovely pub with good food and a fire. Great access to walks on blencathera.

OK parking spot for the night. Be aware that it is next to a busy road, hence the four stars. Pub food was really delicious and worth the money. Best fish n chips we had so far in the UK. 6 £ for a pint is expensive though.

Good amount of spaces and a few on the road in too. Food & drink was decent. Was pretty busy during the day (Sunday) but still space to park up.

Great spot, friendly service and great food in the pub! Like other people have mentioned there was the noise of traffic in the morning but it wasn’t outrageous!

Great spot to walk up Blencathra. Pub is fantastic good service and the food is 10/10. Only downside is the slightly noisy road but if you’ve got ear plugs you’ll be sound

Great little park up. Stayed on a Monday night and was the only one there all evening. Food at the pub was delicious and the staff are lovely. Right next to the A66 so gets noisy from around 8.30am onwards but very quiet after 8pm.

Free overnight parking just down from pub if you eat/drink. Great food, huge portions. Bit of road noise, but eased off fairly early. No facilities unless using the pub. Car park level and set back and up from the road so no headlights. We're in a lwb sprinter sized van and turning at the end of the car park was a bit tight, but do-able. Would definitely stay again!

Walked up to Blencathra from here, enjoyed a well earned drink in the pub afterwards, good stoping place
