Lovely spot for parking during the day but signs now up for no overnight parking. Shame really.

  • 4/5

Forestry commission workers very friendly and promote walks etc. Spaces for around 5/6 small vans. No toilets or amenities. Quiet, close to town. 10 min drive from chanonry point for dolphin watching.

  • 4/5

Well protected from the the elements, fairly close to the road, but road not too busy. Seen a couple of friendly dog walkers. Stayed here twice, both times were the only ones there. Definitely would stay again. Close to Inverness centre, petrol station, and shop. Only down side is no bin or toilet.

Ruime, rustige parkeerplaats vlakbij een wandeling.

  • 5/5

Quiet and secluded place to park. Hard and flat standing. We were the only people there. beautiful walk through the woods. no amenities or bins so make sure you take everything with you and leave no trace. Clootie Well is an interesting sight! 4g signal on EE

Super coin tranquille avec incongruité des messages laissés dans les arbres...

  • 4/5

Lovely secluded spot. Really peaceful and quiet. No facilities and no bins but as we were in our motorhome no issues for us.

  • 3/5

Level parking with a fairly decent walk in the woods if you have a dog. The fabric at Clootie Well is weird and actually looks like an eyesore on the environment. One is supposed to hang bio-degradble fabric but most people clearly are not. It was a very noisy night, traffic was non-stop all through which is weird as it's not exactly a main thoroughfare.

Perfect place for a night. Quiet wooded area great for dog walks. We were the only ones there. Next to the road but very quiet overnight. One other dog Walker arrived in the morning. Phone signal on 3 network. No facilities.

  • 4/5

Fantastic find! Would have stayed longer than one night. When you go into the carpark keep driving round the track and there are two remote spaces surrounded by woodland which we had to ourselves which was bliss. Road beside it dies down overnight. No bins/facilities. We stayed 17.09.21.

Sheltered, quiet and flat. There was about 4 caravans and 2 mini campers which fitted in well. One big disappointment was that one of the caravans decided it was a great place to dispose of their waste water in the bushes which stank the whole car park and made sitting out side unpleasant. This is a real gem of a find but people always find a way to ruin it. Definitely check out the well.

This is a car park for Forest walks which are very good. one of the walks is the clootie well which is is quite amazing to see. there is space here for maybe 6 campervans but only a couple of large motorhomes. we are 7.5 m long and fitted in nicely. this is a lovely spot and a very quiet night sleep. there are no bins so please leave this as you found it it so we can keep using it it.

We were the only people here for the night, very secluded and quiet. Saw 3 dog walkers early in the morning. Don’t forget to bring an item of clothing to leave at the well!

  • 4/5

Lovely quiet spot in the forest. Nice and level. No facilities but a couple of nice (short) forest walks (though some steep bits so not suitable for wheelchairs). Had a good night's sleep.

  • 5/5

Nice quiet little spot for the night, woods a bit spooky at night.

  • 4/5

Nice quiet spot. Flat parking. Room for about 6/8 campervans split into 3/4 areas. Nice little forest walks. Clootie Well is worth a visit. Good nights sleep, very quiet, undisturbed. no facilities, no camp fires or bbqs

Easy to park and level 7 mins off the main NC500 route. We had the place to ourselves on a Friday evening last car left at 9.30pm 1st dog Walker 8am

  • 5/5

Great location and super quiet nights sleep. Couple of night walks through the woods, that a piece of clothing to donate at the well!

  • 4/5

We had this whole area to ourselves but its big enough for probably 4 motorhomes. The only downside was the houses through the woods which were a bit loud but nothing you can't sleep through. Started to get busy with dog walkers around 8.30am

  • 5/5

Lovely place to stop for the night, lovely forest walks nearby.

  • 4/5

Very quiet overnight stop, no services, strange place with a lot of history to it. we shared our night with another campervan

  • 4/5

Stayed here before starting the nc500. There was a motorhome already here and a couple of cars passing through during the evening. Was very quiet after 10pm. Despite there being no bins, there was no litter.

  • 4/5

Quieter away from the road but we still managed to sleep in til 9.30 despite being on the road side of the loop. Very nice little place. No facilities, no bins but not a problem if you're welcome prepared. Thanks for the tip, Park4night!

  • 5/5

Such a quiet place to camp last night. No noise at all. There was another T5 and a Car camping in the same place but there was plenty of room for a good few campers/cars. No signs stating you can’t camp over night. Would definitely recommend.

  • 5/5

Amazing place to stay; for the brave! The Clootie well is quite eery! Other than that we had a great night here.

  • 3/5

Nice spot off road. Fairly quiet if you park away from road which is quite busy. Only really room for a few vans / smaller motor homes as people park for walking and visiting the well too. (It’s well worth a visit). No facilities or bins.

  • 4/5

Nice little spot with woodland walks. Plenty of cars with people visiting the woods until around 9pm. Site is on the final approach for Inverness airport so some aircraft noise and we could hear industrial noise on a sunday night. No services but won't expect any with a forestry commission car park.

  • 5/5

Stayed here for one night after driving from London. Great place to stop to start the NC500 fresh after a nights rest. Really quirky little place, was busy with dogs walkers and hikers but all friendly, gets quiet around 2100 but do no there is a notable explosions from a local farm, they didn’t bother us as they stop at around 2200. We were up at 0500 and gone by 0700. Really nice spot, no trouble at all. No bins or toilets so remember to clean up after yourselves!

  • 4/5

Busy spot. Nice overnighter. Fair EE phone signal.

  • 3/5

Great place for the night, up to 8 vehicles. However, there were some very loud explosion noises every hour - farming or military? Up until 10pm

  • 4/5
