26/3/24 just a gravel park spot. Not scenic was quiet and safe. Only went to see the castle but it as shut until 17/4/24 for renovation !

sosiehtesaus18/01/2024An sich wie beschrieben. Zum Zeitpunkt unseres Besuches aber sehr trubeliger Parkplatz inkl. Nutzung durch einen LKW direkt neben uns. Wie bekannt müssen die morgens erst mal "warmlaufen" ( Druckluftbremse), dann ist die Nacht für Reisemobilisten meist auch vorbei. Wir sind kurz weitergefahren auf einen anderen sehr ruhigen Parkplatz, der in der Saison aber nicht durch Womos genutzt werden kann.
Blacktravel06/01/2024Wer eine Aussicht auf Altneubauten der Stadt Colditz mag, ist hier richtig. Ansonsten nur ein geschotterter Platz am Waldrand.

Stayed here late Sept 2023, very quiet and peaceful. Motorhome spaces clearly marked. No facilities but that's fine if stopping for just a night as it is after all free. Good stopover for a peaceful night and it's just a 10 minute walk/15 minute slow stroll to the castle

Madmitch201012/09/2022Nice quite little stopover for a visit to the castle and busy little town. Easy walk to the castle all down hill. We drove the 600 or so meters from the stop over and had no problem parking our kotorhome and motorcycle trailer right out side the castle. Stopover would hold about 10 motorhomes sensibly parked. We were the only ones there. Felt safe. No services. Not even a rubbish bin

This is quite a walk to the castle. Maybe 25 mins. We were there on a Sunday so parked in Lidl’s car park (week days only 1 hour), there is a car park in front of Lidl which may suit.

Stopped here for 2 peaceful nights. If you get chance to do the castle tour during your stay, it’s well worth the 21 euros. The town is beautiful and there is some good bike riding locally. There’s a trail that leads from the stop over directly into the woods

Einfacher aber schön gelegener, ruhiger Platz. Direkt neben einem Wald gelegen, ideal mit Hund. Schönes Schloss und kleine nette Altstadt

It's a gravel car park, reasonably level, dry and free. No services. Ideally located to visit the castle, just exit the car park, turn right and walk down the hill. We were greeted by a local gentleman who claims he had the motorhome parking sign erected, he made sure we were OK and gave us directions to the nearest supermarket. We stayed one night to visit the castle.

Perfect to visit the castle and stay over. Only 2 campers there the night we went. Walk into the forest and turn left for a nice route to the castle.

Very quiet place for the night. Quite sloping. Lovely woods to walk around next door (but the entrance is a few hundred m away, behind the blocks of flats). Easy walk downhill to the castle.

Perfect place to park to visit Colditz. No facilities, but free. Quiet stay overnight with two other Motorhomes. Nice bar to stop at walking back up from the castle.

A nice quiet designated camper parking spot. 500m walk to the castle but it was shut and the were no your when we arrived at 16:00. The walk around it was also closed off but the courtyard was open.

Great place to sleep, very quiet with designated bays. the castle was a famous prison camps with many attempted break outs. the castle tour is 9euro for 1 1/2 guided tour. or free to look around most of tge castle. the tour is great no services but a lovely town
